Founded in 1988 by Pastor Sheila Vitale, Living Epistle Ministries is a Judeo-Christian teaching ministry in Port Jefferson Station, New York. Pastor Vitale is also a teacher in the ministry and leverages her extensive knowledge of the Torah and the Scriptures to interpret and explain the teachings of Christ. Living Epistles Ministries (LEM) distributes free Christian literature, which readers can view on or print from the Internet.

The ministry gives out free Christian books and MP3s through lending libraries in the United States, Africa, and Europe. In addition, LEM engages in philanthropic activities like allocating some of its revenue to other charitable ministries that provide basic needs to the less privileged.

LEM also provides financial support to local community services and organizations that defend the United States Constitution and support Judeo-Christian principles. This support constitutes over 16 percent of the total revenue generated from tithes and free will offerings. Beneficiaries of LEM include the American Bible Society, the Christian Broadcasting Network, Feed the Children, Full Gospel Tabernacle, and the American Center for Law and Justice, among others.
