Do You Really Love God?

Do You Really Love God?

I was inspired to write, "Do You Really Love God?" from the messages I heard and read from Living Epistles Ministries and from my experiences.

I heard the following, do you really love God, when you engage in a sexual relationship out of marriage, refuse to do what you say you would do, commit adultery, refuse to accept His truth about your sinful behavior, attend church when you want to, refuse to have a godly marriage, refuse to forgive others, refuse to resolve an issue, refuse to communicate in godly manners, refuse to consider what you have done to cause the problem, and refuse to ask for the Lord's help with what you just thought that might be a sin.

"Do you really love God" could be an exhaustive message. However, I decided to lay the foundation. Many of you could add your own examples, and you will see, what I mean that it could be exhaustive, (In other words, on and on and on). To say that we love God and then not do as He had instructed us is not love. To love the Lord is to obey His commands; it's not up to us to tweak it to fit our sinful choices. When we do that, we are saying that we know what is best for us, not God. How can you love the Lord, if you have never been taught about His love? I do not mean what man is saying what His word has said about Him. If we are honest with ourselves, we would say that our love for the Lord is of the flesh, which is our carnal mind that hates the things of the Lord. It is not subject to it, it will not want to listen. That is why in order to really love God; we must have something added to us. We must have His spirit; we get it by wanting it and we must do something to receive it. When we receive it that is when the battle begins in our mind. The Spirit of the Lord is fighting against our sinful nature, showing us our sinful behaviors. And for what reason? He wants us to agree that with Him. We agree with Him and confess it as sin, repent and fight with all of our strength, and refuse to submit to the temptation to sin, etc.

Also, we fight by confessing, repenting, and praying warfare prayers against our sinful nature, temptation, all forms of spiritual attack, etc. You say, "I rebuke you... I curse you, I break your hold over me and I cast you into the lake of fire". Then He will help us to overcome. The Lord's will at times require us to do something; it not up to Him to do all the work. Remember Noah was told about a flood and he was given instructions to build an ark. If he had refused to build the ark, what would have happened to him? Again I ask, "Do you really love the Lord? How can you love Him, if no one is sent to you to teach you how to love and what is required of you?" A person in the spirit of Christ must be sent to you, you must cry out for His love to be added to you. When you do all that you can do, you will receive His love. I thought about all of this and I knew that I was inspired to write this. It became apparent after I completed it. In addition, my ex-sister in law sent me a picture message with a text. The message was: "To you with Love," and the picture was of Jesus. This led to me write this, about to you with love. The Spirit of the Lord was telling me through my ex-sister in law that this message comes to us in love. There is no condemnation when our sins are shown to us by a person who the Lord had sent to us, we are not to retaliate in any manner, because that is also sin. We can never blame someone for our weaknesses or say they provoked us into retaliation. We are responsible for our behavior, words, and thoughts. The Love of the Lord is not concerned with what provokes us. He is concerned with how we solve the situation. Will we solve it by asking for His help and not with our carnal mind, which is a sin of pride. In other words refusing to ask the Lord for help is a sin of pride.

We must beware at all times that we are continually under seduction to sin, either from our own mind or someone else's mind. The Love of the Lord is spiritual, it is not controlled by how we think, feel or believe. The Love of the Lord is righteous. Our carnal mind may tell us that it is wrong to have our sins exposed which will cause us to justify our sinful behaviors. We say, "Who are you to tell me that what I had been doing or saying all these years is sin? The Love of the Lord wants to purify or cleanse us from our sinful behaviors. When we are tempted to sin and we call on the love of the Lord for help, he covers our carnal mind, preventing it from sinning. We must submit ourselves to God, resist (fight) the devil and deliverance will eventually come. The Love of the Lord comes with judgment and our carnal mind will deceive us into thinking "this is not fair." The judgment that comes from the Lord is the exposure of the sin in the way we think, and what comes out of our mouth. The question I ask you is how are you going to handle the judgment? Would you fight against the messenger? Would you seek out the Lord and ask Him if what you hearing is correct Or would your pride rise up and say indirectly or directly to the person, "who do you think you are?" Whatever the Lord does in our lives is from his righteousness and it's not sin. The carnal mind would tell us it's a sin. However, what is a sin to man is not a sin to God; all of his actions are righteous.

His actions are out of His Love for us. If this message has found its way to you, you are being told that he loves you and He wants you to receive it. However, this comes with judgment, not as the world thinks. The Love of the Lord seeks to correct us with judgment. He wants to expose it so that we could confess it, repent of it and seek out His help. There is a scripture that says whom the Lord chastises his son and if he does not, we are not His. "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood (spirit) of Jesus Christ his son (mind) cleanseth us from all sin." (1John 1:7). We must have the Spirit of Christ in us and until the Christ in us chastens our carnal mind everything that proceeds forth out of our mind and through our mouths will prevent us from entering into the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus says, that nothing that goes into your mouth can defile you, but what's in your heart defiles you. Outside circumstances does not make you behave badly. Our mind must be cleansed of sin. Furthermore, our hidden thoughts of our heart must be exposed before the Love of the Lord will come to us, through the person of His choosing to reveal to us the hidden motive that is sinful. The hidden sins of our heart must be exposed, before correction can take place, even if we think there is no problem the Lord calls them sin. If our sins are not pointed out, it would remain in us and we will never enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Sometimes the correction is painful, but the goal is to bring about deliverance. Rev 3:19 "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Heb 12:5 "And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?"

We need a correction in the way we think, in our attitudes, in our emotions, in the way we communicate, and in the way we behave that we never thought might be a sin. I was raised in wrong thinking, handling my problems wrongfully, etc. Because that is the way I was taught. This is not a condemnation on my parents, they did their best with what they know. I learned from my mistakes and experiences, and now the Spirit of the Lord is showing us our sins because He loves us enough to show it to us. No one wants their sins revealed. No one wants to consider that what they thought was a normal behavior is sin. When we hear, believe, and repent we are accepting the correction and there would be an ongoing process that will eventually come with deliverance in the sinful area that the Lord is correcting. We at times make the mistake of choosing what we want to be rid of, instead of asking the Lord to show us the area in our life that is against him. We have got to hear the right way and make the righteous choices. I pray that you listen with the intent to change after being corrected, accept the correction with the knowledge that He loves you; and to not care how hard the correction is, endure, knowing that deliverance will eventually come. Do not faint, fight the works of the devil, and seek out the Lord for help.

Also I was reminded of this song or poem that was given to me several months ago, while driving to work. I perceive that it is appropriate for this message.

He loves me all the time
He love me in the morning
He loves me in the afternoon
He loves me in the evening
He loves me in the night
He loves me in my pain and suffering
And because of His love, everything is going to be all right

He loves me all the time
His love is far beyond what my husband and wife can give
He loves me more than my children do
His love is very different from what I see and perceive
From all that I notice, he loves me all the time
I need to recognize this; in the midst of my despair, he answered my prayers

He loves me all the time

He loves me in the morning
He loves me in the evening
He loves me through my depression
His loves is greater than what man can give to me
His behavior is all ways in love
He has righteous love for me

He loves me all the time
He loves me in the morning
He loves me in the afternoon
He loves me in the evening
He loves me in the night

He loves me unconditionally; it is not from what I do for him
It is what He wants do through me all the time
I thank Him for His love, when I recognize it
I thank Him for His love that He had bestowed upon me.
He gave me His word, so I can learn about myself.
I will come to Him, confess my sins, and repent
To have His love to flow through me
To touch others with His love
I asked for forgiveness for the broken heart with His love, that He have shown me

He loves me all the time

Let this be your word that He loves you in your condition, so call upon Him in the morning, afternoon, evening and in the night to change you, into His Spirit of love.

He loves you all the time.

To you, with Love, "Do you really Love God?"

From the Lord, through his servant Anthony Milton
