A Doctrinal Error In Holding God Accountable For Evil

A DOCTRINAL ERROR IN HOLDING
GOD ACCOUNTABLE FOR EVIL

 Article #100 (06/04/2022)

Led by pastor Sheila R. Vitale, Living Epistles Ministries is both a teaching ministry and a publisher of videos, audio works, and books in the Judeo-Christian spiritual lineage. One message that Sheila R. Vitale delivers centers on “Eliminating the Mediator (The Seduction of Doctrinal Error).”

One major error propagated doctrinally in recent years is that God is responsible for, and has designed, every occurrence on earth, thus no individual responsibility must be borne. The idea that everything that happens to you is divinely ordained, and that the individual has no responsibility, is “fatalism.” Unfortunately, this type of preaching has members of the fundamental church waiting for a rapture while the behavior of many are anything but Christ-like. It is true that God is in “control of” everything, but he is not “responsible for” all the evils that occur around the globe. He has given humanity free-will, and, thus, each person is fully responsible for his or her own thoughts and behavior.

Pastor Vitale believes the apostle John, who says in Chapter 5, Verse 29, that those who have done good, will experience the resurrection of Jesus’ life, but those who have done evil and been a vessel of Satan’s wrath, will find themselves in front of the Heavenly Court when they are resurrected.
