According to the Deliverance From Hell teaching which is based on Ezekiel, Chapter 9, each person is born with a carnal mind and a Christ mind, and a person has to overcome their carnal mind in order to be a son of God. A son of God is therefore described as a person who has killed their carnal mind and lives in obedience to Christ. In this way, everything the person thinks and does comes out of the Christ mind and not the carnal one. The carnal mind is both good and evil, but not righteous, and its perceptions all fall short of the best results that the Mind of Christ offers us. From that point of view, the perceptions of the carnal mind, which point us in the wrong direction or sometimes tempt us to do something that does not please God, are destructive and can be likened, in the worst scenario, to drinking poison.
The teaching presents life as a race to have Christ formed inside us before our body dies. Eternal life and safety are in Christ, who is the Son of God, and the superior spiritual companion. for every person that seeks the best possible life in this world.
