Differences Between Functional And Dysfunctional Family Dynamics
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FUNCTIONAL
AND DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY DYNAMICS
Founded by Pastor Sheila Vitale, Living Epistles Ministries is an educational and teaching Christian ministry. Living Epistles Ministries provides valuable teachings about religion and life itself, such as functional and dysfunctional family philosophy.
Functional families are a natural and beneficial environment for children to grow as everyone in a functional family aims to develop themselves and stand by one another in times of need. This is all due to the commitment of the people in the family and the common goal, that of growth and happiness both as individuals and as a group. Functional families are an environment where everyone can be creative and free while dysfunctional families represent exactly the opposite.
Dysfunctional families do not offer freedom or creativity, as they rely more on possession than trust. Individuals cannot act for themselves in dysfunctional families and can't, therefore, be happy as individuals. Creativity and individuality are seen as destroyers of families and peace in these types of families when, in fact, it is the opposite. Only when individuals are happy for themselves alone can they make others happy and function as a whole.
