Physical Illness & The Levirate Law
PHYSICAL ILLNESS & THE LEVIRATE LAW
Physical Illness
A few weeks ago a word of knowledge came forth in a meeting that any unhealed condition in our body means that the sin that caused the malfunction in our material body has not been forgiven. I wondered about that, and asked the Lord why sin would not be forgiven in someone who had been serving the Lord faithfully for years. This morning I received the answer: Sin is wrong thinking.
The Moral Opinion Of God
I have been preaching for a while now that sin is failing to rise to the moral opinion of God, but somehow I did not apply that to my physical illnesses. Somehow I continued to think that the weaknesses in my body were the result of family line curses and behavioral errors that arose out of those curses. In other words I was still sick because of something that happened a long time ago, and I just was not healed yet.
Repentance
I have known for many years that the true understanding of repentance is a changed opinion. To know that our thinking is incorrect is called, confession of sin. Without confession of sin there can be no repentance. Only God can grant repentance,[i] which results in the removal of the stigma of the physical illness, the outward sign of the spiritual and mental sin of wrong thinking. Unforgiveness in any area means that the wrong thinking that caused the physical malfunction of our body has not changed yet. In other words, repentance, or change, has not occurred with regard to the wrong thinking that caused that particular ailment.
Healing
So, healing comes when we understand that the thinking that caused the moral lapse, that resulted in the righteous judgment of physical sickness, is wrong. The judgment is righteous because it is designed to either change our thinking, or move our higher soul along the path to the discarding of the body, which is death.
The Reality of Forgiveness
Our higher soul, Adam, the creation of God, has the potential to rise to the moral opinion of God, and our personal soul (personality) has the potential to follow him to that spiritual dimension. Should the higher soul attain to the moral opinion of God, and the personality not follow, there is a crisis of conscience. Hopefully, the moral opinion of the higher soul prevails and saves the personal soul (personality) from the consequences of its erroneous thinking. This is the reality of the forgiveness of sin.
Judgment
On the other hand, however, should neither the higher soul, nor the personal soul (personality) rise to the moral opinion of God, the sin of the personal soul (personality) is not covered,[ii] and the judgment falls. The judgment can be temporary, or unto death, depending upon the spiritual state of the higher soul, the determination of which includes the sins of all previous incarnations. In other words, the higher soul carries baggage from other incarnations, such as family line curses and the sins of the fathers.[iii] The fate of the material body depends upon the spiritual state of the higher soul. The material body bares the reproach of the judgment, as well as the personal soul (personality), which is attached to the material body.
A Sinful Higher Soul
The higher soul, however, is always a part of a family of souls, such as a human family, or a church family. The higher soul of a child is a part of the group higher soul of the family, which is a support to the child if it is healthy. But if it is not healthy, the only way an enlightened child can survive is through separation.[iv]
Saviors[v]
In the event that the personal soul (personality) rises to the moral opinion of God and the higher soul does not, the personal soul (personality), alone, is not strong enough to overcome the sin of the higher soul, and is certainly not strong enough to overcome the sins of the group soul. Should the personal soul (personality), however, attach itself to a righteous higher soul that will fight for it, a warfare ensues between the two higher souls. In that event, the child can separate from the family and cleave to another higher soul by running away from home, or through marriage, for example. The higher soul that the personal soul (personality) cleaves to, inherits he material body and the attached personal soul (personality).
The Levirate Law[vi]
Such a spiritual event is an application of the Levirate Law, which addresses the issue of a husband who gives his spiritual seed to his wife, but fails to impregnate her with a physical child before he dies. The Levirate Law says that the man’s brother should marry the woman and provide a physical child of the same DNA, so that his brother’s spiritual seed can continue in the earth.
If the man’s brother does not do his duty, and the man’s spiritual seed is strong enough, it will kill any future husband to prevent the first physical child of the woman from being given over to the spiritual seed of the second man, which would kill the spiritual seed of the first man. If the woman never remarries, or if the spiritual seed of the first husband prevails over the spiritual seed of the second husband and she does not conceive, the first husband’s spiritual seed can develop as the higher soul of the woman. Then, in the event of the woman’s death, the spiritual seed of the first husband, which became the higher soul of the woman, can continue on in the earth by reincarnation into a spiritual or physical relative of the woman.
The Rabbis
The rabbinic teaching that women do not reincarnate is based upon the understanding that only the higher soul reincarnates, and that women are not born with a higher soul. Therefore, women do not reincarnate.
The New Testament
Indeed, the spiritual reality of the female is that she cannot appear without the male. This is the error of the Trinity, thinking that the female Holy Spirit is separate from the Father and the Son. So, it is possible that the only access that a woman had to a higher soul, prior to the glorification of Jesus Christ, was her father or her husband. This is also an explanation as to why the rise of the female spirit always results in the weakening and diminution of the male. The exception, however, is the woman whose higher soul is Christ Jesus.
Two Higher Souls In One Marriage[vii]
It is possible for the two higher souls to exist peaceably in a marriage under two conditions: 1) The woman continues to submit to the male authority in all matters of the family and the natural world, and 2) The husband does not try to rule over the woman in spiritual matters, or interfere with her service to God.
The woman must trust God to deal with her husband in all areas of his potential lack of understanding concerning spiritual things, or her service to God. If she takes matters into her own hands and exercises authority over him, she is in sin.
Paul’s instruction that the woman can leave her husband if she cannot live in peace with him, is specifically referring to the lack of peace that results from the spiritual conflict of the two souls. In other words, if the husband is exercising his male authority over the wife to prevent her from serving God, she can leave and abide alone, that is, she can live without the protection of a male relative. A woman who receives permission from the Lord to leave an abusive husband for any natural reason, is to return to her father’s house.
A single woman that is not joined to a physical male, but has the higher soul of Christ Jesus is a married woman.
A single woman that is not under the protection of a male is vulnerable to sin, spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Jezebel
It is possible for a woman to seize the higher soul of a man. This is the spiritual principle behind the Jezebel spirit that destroys spiritual and physical manhood wherever and whenever it can.
[i] Acts 11:18
18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
KJV
[ii] 1 Cor 11:5-13
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
KJV
[iii] Ex 20:5-6
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
KJV
[iv] 1 Cor 1:30
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
KJV
[v] Neh 9:27
27 Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
KJV
Obad 21
21 And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.
KJV
[vi] Deut 25:5-6
5 If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband's brother unto her.
6 And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.
KJV
[vii] 1 Cor 7:10-15
10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
