Adultery
Adultery is a very serious crime worthy of the death penalty (which the Lord requires)
Lev 20:10
“And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”
KJV
This Law is righteous because matrimony is truly holy. A marriage, which presupposes children, is a new birth, a living thing that comes into existence in the soul dimension. IT IS A NEW BRANCH OF THE TREE OF CREATION. Adultery results in the death of many lesser branches, twigs and loaves.
Anything that violates it is a serious crime. All parties involved, husband, wife, children should be bending over backwards to do everything in their power to make it successful.
The third-party, the woman or the man that is single is more to blame than the married person because the chances are the married person would have an affair as an extra-curricular activity and not destroy the family (of course that is wrong and sin). But the destruction of the family, the ultimate end of the adultery should be avoided at all costs. It destroys the souls of the members of the family for generations to come.
If the marriage remains intact, there is always the hope for true forgiveness and regeneration that cancels the death penalty on the progeny
