WHAT IS ETERNAL LIFE?

Based in Port Jefferson Station, New York, Living Epistles Ministries is a Christian teaching and publishing ministry. In December 2019, through its YouTube page, Living Epistles Ministries’ pastor Sheila Vitale gave an explanation of eternal life and what exactly it means.
According to the pastor, there is a huge misunderstanding in the church and all over the world about what eternal life, as promised by Jehovah in the scriptures, is. Many people think it means immortality - that they will live forever. They believe that after they die, they will resurrect in another spiritual dimension where they will live in mansions and walk on streets made of gold forever. However, that is not what eternal life means.
Jehovah promised eternal life and that eternal life is in His son Jesus Christ. Therefore, those who are unified with the son have access to eternal life, the power source of the universe. Because of that access, they have reason to believe that their needs will be satisfied. If they need healing or financial help, they have reason to believe that they will receive it, provided they confess their sins, submit to God, and hold on to His son.
Human belings have a personal soul, or a personality, and a higher, spiritual intellectual soul. Adam, the living soul that fell and died, is that higher soul. He was created by God to be immortal, and is, therefore, seeking permanent re-unification with him through many incarnations as many different human persons. The First Adam is restored to immortality, and the personal soul (personality) can attain immortality, through unification with the Lord Jesus Christ. The process requires a wilderness experience, however, but Christians have access to eternal life througout the journey.
