FEED THE CHILDREN'S DOMESTIC PROGRAMS

For more than three decades, Living Epistles Ministries has been producing and distributing educational content to help Christians learn about Christ and the Bible. Beyond helping people learn more about Christianity, Living Epistles Ministries supports such organizations as Feed the Children.
Feed the Children has been working to end childhood hunger since 1979. Toward this end, it maintains several international and domestic programs focused on distributing food to hungry kids.
Feed the Children’s Food Distribution Program is one of its Domestic Food Programs. Through this program, the organization accepts donations of food products, cash, or shipping services from corporations across the country. It then works with churches, food pantries, and agencies to distribute food and donations to families in need.
Additionally, Feed the Children’s Backpack Program distributes hygiene items and school essentials to students in need. These products help families save money on school supplies and other essentials, thus leaving them more money for food. Further, students from disadvantaged backgrounds experience a huge emotional boost when they receive a new backpack with supplies because it helps them feel more similar to their classmates.
Finally, Feed the Children’s Summer Meals Program tackles childhood hunger during the summer. Through the Summer Food and Education Program (SFEP), hungry children receive healthy meals during summertime at numerous sites across the country. In 2014, the organization served over 180,000 meals to children through SFEP.
