FEED THE CHILDREN'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN 2017

#02 [04/07/2018]

The teaching ministry Living Epistles Ministries was founded by Pastor Sheila Vitale who also founded Christ-Centered Kabbalah, which fuses the appreciation of the New Testament and Kabbalah. Living Epistles Ministries apportioned over 16.5 percent of its 2017 income to numerous charities, including Feed the Children.

One of the largest charities based in the United States, Feed the Children is dedicated to ending childhood hunger through the provision of food, essentials, education initiatives, and disaster relief. The non-profit serves people who are impoverished in the United States and in 10 countries across the globe.

Feed the Children appropriated 91.7 million pounds of essentials and food, valued at $373 million, across the United States and around the world in 2017. This figure includes the organization's response to the aftermath of American natural disasters, such as Hurricane Mathew and floods in Louisiana, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Internationally, Feed the Children engaged 1.3 million children, as well as caregivers, in programs to advance community self-reliance. The organization also handed out vitamin A to over 1.8 million young children, deworming medicine to 1.6 million children, and taught WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) practices to over 106,000 children and caregivers.
