God's Name
GOD'S NAME
Brethren
I have preached many times that I do not understand how the high priest pronouncing Jehovah's name on the day of atonement could bring down the power of God and forgive the sins of all Israel. In other words, I cannot understand how pronouncing a single word, or name, can accomplish anything. Neither have I been able to understand how pronouncing the name of "Jesus" could produce miracles either. It is the anointing that breaks the yoke, not the words. It is the intention of your heart plus the anointing.
I recently listened to an exhortation by Rabbi Tova Singer, in which he explains that there is no such thing as a "magical name." In other words, it is not true that the high priest merely pronounced the correct pronunciation of the Hebrew letters that we know as "Jehovah" and Israel sins were forgiven. He explains that "the Name" means "the message." In other words, the high priest spoke the Truth of the message of the Scripture and the sins of Israel were forgiven.
We do not know what the high priest said or what he preached on the day of atonement, but as I listened to Rabbi Singer, Christ Jesus within me taught me the following:
When God spoke in the Old Testament and said "Abraham, Isaac and Jacob did not know my name, but you will know my name," he meant that God's name was not known then but it would be known in the future, and today we know that that name is Jesus.
But, is God's Name really "Jesus"? When Jesus said, "believe in me and you shall be saved" did it mean believe that he exists, that he was resurrected? No! The name "Jesus" is the esoteric understanding of the Scripture, the whole Truth! "The message" is his name
Rabbi Singer talks a lot about not calling God by his name, and we know that Jews call God "HaShem" which means "the Name." I do believe, however, that this is one instance in which this incredibly knowledgeable Rabbi, as well as all the rabbis, do not understand the prohibition against calling God by his name.
I believe that when God says that, he means that his name is the Truth as expressed through the esoteric doctrine, and that it is forbidden to speak the letter of the word, which is false doctrine, from the spiritual point of view, which mischaracterizes God and/or his intentions or his plans for us.
In addition, I believe that the Lord has given us permission to pronounce his names because those of us who are descendants of Abraham are his "friend." In other words, those of us who have received the new covenant through a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ can now pronounce his names, by faith. Because even though the doctrine of the church is mostly erroneous, it is the will of God that his church will ultimately receive the true doctrine. This promise was not given to Moses in the flesh.
I do not agree with everything that Rabbi Singer says, and I know that he does not believe that Jesus is Messiah. But I enjoy a lot of what he does have to say, and I found this particular video very informative and enlightening.
God bless you.

I would like to thank all of you who emailed me your appreciation for my email and the link concerning Rabbi Tova Singer. I have watched many of his videos since then I would like to share some of my additional thoughts concerning him with you:
I would like to remind you that he is a self-described counter evangelist. His mission in life is to convert Christians either to Judaism or to make them into ben Noahides, people who do not believe in Jesus as Savior, and follow the "Jewish way" which includes submission to the Jewish teachers.
There is no doubt that he Rabbi Singer is a brilliant, charismatic teacher of the Old Testament. His knowledge of the letter of the word is phenomenal, but he has (from what I can see) no understanding of the New Testament message. The problem, as I see it, is that there is so much, doctrinal error in the church, that he just assumes that Christianity is a false religion.
The truth of the matter, as I understand it, is that there is a group of rabbis, somewhere, who have made concerted efforts to put an end to what they call "anti-Semitism" by discrediting and actually seeking to destroy Christianity, which they truly believe is a false religion. I have now heard at least two rabbis say publicly that "Jesus failed." One of them actually said that Christians should submit to the rabbis for their instruction. We need to understand the seriousness of this situation, especially if we listen to rabbinical teaching.
Rabbi Singer says that the New Testament was completely corrupted by the Catholic Church, and that it is a complete fraud. I do not doubt that this is correct., as the apostolic doctrine has been largely if not completely perverted. But, nevertheless, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has used the New Testament as a template for everything that he has taught me, which I believe to be the true apostolic doctrine that has been lost to the church.
I also note that as "delicious" (in Rabbi Singer's words) as the correctly taught doctrine of the Old Testament is, there is no teaching about the morality of God, which is absolutely essential if we are to escape the corruption that is engulfing our world, and qualify to receive the engrafted word.
But most important, we now understand through the apostolic doctrine that the Lord is teaching us, that true salvation is ascension to the moral standard of God. Observance of the Law, can, indeed, protect us from the corruption in the world and even qualify us to receive the engrafted word, but it is not capable of equipping us to attain to the moral standard of God, which is only possible through our new man, Christ Jesus.
So, brethren, enjoy the teaching of Rabbi Singer, and any other teacher that blesses you, but beware of seducing spirits that are everywhere today. Remember, the reality of Christ in you cannot be erased by intellectual (philosophical) arguments, even where the rabbinic doctrine is incorrect, and the church doctrine is incorrect.
This is, indeed, a great mystery: being touched by the anointing where the false doctrine that is prevalent in the church is being taught, is more beneficial to you and more pleasing to the Lord, then the "delicious" anointing on the teaching of a counter evangelist Rabbi. Stay with the spirit of God and he will guide you into all truth. The "delicious" anointing on the Old or New Testament taught by a counter evangelist, (and it is indeed delicious) provides only additional knowledge of the letter of the word. It can never produce salvation.
So, hopefully, we are mature enough to cling to the spirit of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, while we dip into the "honeypot" of Rabbi Singer's "truly delicious" teaching. His Old Testament teaching is phenomenal, and his explanation of the corrupt doctrine in the church has been correct every time I have heard it. However, he uses that information to denigrate Jesus and his church, because he does not understand the true apostolic doctrine that we are receiving at LEM/CCK.
Remember, antichrist is a mixture. True doctrine, followed by false doctrine, without even a blip to indicate the switch, is spiritual death, so do not hesitate to ask me any questions that you might have, should you choose to listen to him teach on the New Testament.
God bless you all. Love you in Christ,
