Abaddon And Apollyon

The Bottomless Pit

Rev 9:10-11 - KJV

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.    KJV

Rev 9:10-11 - ATB

10        The unconscious [part of their] mind was like [a nest of spiritual] scorpions, and

There were stingers in the unconscious part of their mind: and

They had the authority to hurt the five [male Sefirot of] Adam [who is not engraved with the nature of]]

11        [Christ Jesus, their] king from above, [and] the Angel [that dwells in] their material body, [which is] called in the Hebrew language, Hades, and in the Greek language, [the place that is] perishing. (ATB)

 STUDY

Abaddon (Strong’s #3) is a transliteration of the Hebrew Abaddown, Strong’s #11, which means Hades.

Apollyon (Strong’s #623) is a transliteration of the Greek Apolluon which is a personalized form of Strong’s 3639, which means, to fully destroy, or perish.

The King James translators personalized these two words, Abaddown and Apolluon to support their incorrect translation of verse 11, which names them as the angel of the bottomless pit. But the Interlinear text reads,

They had over them a king the angel of the bottomless pit name
whose in the Hebrew tongue Abaddon but in the Greek tongue name
has Apollyon.

Abaddown and Apolluon are alternate names for the bottomless pit, which by their own definition, declare the bottomless pit to be Hades, or hell, the underworld, this material world which is continually perishing and recreated from nanosecond to nanosecond.

In other words, incarnation in a physical body is hell for the immortal soul, or the immortal angel that is attached to a physical body, because they exist in a dead body that is still walking around. It is just a matter of time until it stops functioning and returns to dust, so the immortal soul experiences death over and over, as each incarnation ends with the death of the body (Matt 23:27, 2 Cor 4:10).

     Matt 23:27

27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
KJV

     2 Cor 4:10

10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.      KJV

Paul is saying he and the other apostles experienced what Jesus experienced, he existed and they exist in dead physical bodies that carry them around so the resurrected life of Jesus can be revealed through those dead bodies.
