We are finishing up the series on Elijah today.
I have given everybody here a copy of the Amplified Alternate Translation of 1 Kings 19:3-13.
I gave it to you -- and you know I do not always do that -- because I am just so impressed and awed by this Alternate Translation. Actually I am very excited about it. It is awesome. And if anyone listening to this message -- if you have ears to hear, hear it. It sounds nothing like -- whatsoever like what is in the King James translation, but no one that is honest can deny that it is a translation which glorifies God and gives glory to His purposes in man. So nobody could deny that. And it was not easy.
I took the Alternate Translations of all those verses, and I interspersed them. And sometimes it looked like the sentences or the ideas were being repeated twice. And I had to realize once it was for the spirit and once for the soul. And, God, it is just so intricate.
Oh -- and let me tell you this before I start: In the last message I mentioned to you that I wa- -- did not really quite have it clear as to when to use Christ Jesus and the Lord Jesus Christ and that I was still praying about it. The Lord did give me some information on it. And the revelation that I am moving in now is that Christ Jesus is the whole new man, which is formed in the human being who is living -- who is existing because of his carnal mind. Christ Jesus is the whole new man that is formed in him.
And that new man is in two parts, OK, the Spirit within Christ Jesus the man -- and that we know because there is a Scripture on it. There is only one mediator between man and God: the man Christ Jesus. So we know that Christ Jesus is the whole man. And He has two parts to Him. His -- He has a Spirit, which is the Spirit of Christ, and He has a mind, which is the mind of Christ. And the Spirit of Christ abides in the mind of Christ, and the two of them together is the whole man, the man Christ Jesus. It is just like saying, I am a woman. I have a heart, and I have lungs. And all of me is Sheila. Is everybody OK?
OK, the Spirit, which is in the man, operates on the realm of the unconscious mind. And the mind part operates in the conscious mind or as the conscious mind of the man. And as that whole new man is being expressed through the individual member of the body of Christ -- excuse me -- that expression is called personality.
So your personality is either an expression of the carnal mind expressing himself through all of the talents and intricacies that you have been born with -- through all of your talents and your individualities that you have been born with, OK. Your person- -- let me say that again. Your personality is either the carnal mind or the mind of Christ expressing itself through all of the talents and individual characteristics that you have been born with as a member of the body of Christ.
The mind of Christ is in everybody. Christ is not divided. There is really one mind of Christ, but as that mind of Christ is expressed through you -- OK, or that expression of the mind of Christ through you is your individual personality. It is like saying you are shining a light through a yellow cloth, or you shine a light through a green cloth. The expression or the reflection of that light will vary depending on who you are shining it through. Amen?
So we have the spirit of man being expressed through a mind, OK, and that mind is an image of the spirits or is a reflection of the one whom our spirit is married to. If we are married to the Lord Jesus Christ, our mind is an expression of Christ, and therefore our personality is an individual expression of Christ. Is everybody OK? OK.
ELIJAH, THE MAN, PART 7
I am going to try this. I pray that God helps me. Glory to God! “Elijah the Man, Part 7.”
Recap of 1 Kings 19: 11 and 12 interspersed. “And Christ Jesus said, let your human spirit be liberated and arise into the mind of Christ. And there is was: Jehovah overshadowed Elijah’s carnal mind and penetrated her. And the Spirit of Christ joined with Elijah’s human spirit, and the mind of Christ was formed in Elijah. And the Spirit of Christ chased after and overtook Satan in the unconscious mind of the Sons of God” -- who were persecuting Elijah, you might remember -- “And Christ Jesus chased after” -- well, I -- “And Christ Jesus chased after” --
You will see in the following Alternate Translations, I changed that Christ Jesus to the mind of Christ. “And the mind of Christ chased after and overtook the beast in their conscious minds” -- or the carnal mind, which was operating as their conscious mind. “And the Spirit of Christ broke Satan’s power and divided the unified, unconscious mind of the Sons of God. And the mind of Christ crushed the bones of the carnal mind, and Elijah’s carnal mind died. Nevertheless despite all of His warlike behavior, Jehovah was a source of spiritual power to Elijah, which silenced the voice of the beast that was trying to kill him.”
Now if you are looking at your Alternate Translations, what you have in your hands is the finished product that I will read to you at the end of this message.
What I just read to you was the Alternate Translation of verses 11 through 12 that we worked up on the last message. And that is going to be interspersed through all of the verses. I am going to put them all together.
And we have one more verse to do: verse 13 of 1 Kings 19. “And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?”
OK. Elijah heard, that is Strong’s 8085. It merely means to hear. He wrapped, that is Strong’s 3874. Strong says that this word means to cover over. When he wrapped himself, he covered himself over. But I have some more information for this on you -- on this for you, and I will give it to you in just a minute. I would also like to tell you, before I give you that information, that his face is Strong’s 6440, and it means the part of the face turned towards someone, personality I suggest to you -- carnal mind, personality, hairline difference. But the face referring to that part which is seen. The carnal mind or the Christ mind is seen through our personality.
And he wrapped himself with his mantle, Strong’s 155. Now Strong says that this mantle is a Babylonish cloak interwoven with various colors. You may recall Joseph’s coat of many colors. This is not the same word, and since Strong says it is a Babylonish coat, I suggest to you it is referring to Christ in a fallen man. We know that many colors refers to Christ because white light -- pure white light -- when it is shown through a spectrum, it breaks down into the colors of the spectrum. So whenever we read about many colors or colors in the Scripture, it is speaking about the Spirit of the Father in the soul realm because the spectrum that the light is being forced through that is breaking it down into many colors is the soul realm. In the realm of the spirit, the Father is pure white light, and in the realm of the soul, the Father is many colors. But this is a Babylonish garment, so I suggest to you that it is speaking about a cloak or a covering which is interwoven with the life of Christ, but it is a fallen man.
And another translation for this word is a wide, branching vine. And I suggest to you that the wide, branching vine is Christ and that the Babylonish cloak is the man Elijah with the mind of Christ -- or let me say, the mind of Christ in the man Elijah. Everybody with me? Everybody with me?
OK, this word translated mantle, it is a wide, branching vine or a cloak with colors, but it is a Babylonish cloak. So I am suggesting it is the mind of Christ in the man Elijah, who is a fallen man. OK? OK.
Now Gesenius says that the Hebrew word translated wrapped -- now I just told you that means to cover over. The word translated wrapped is in the present participle. That is a note in Gesenius that the form of the verb is spelled as the present participle is spelled.
A present participle is a form of a verb that ends -- in English -- in I-N-G. The present participle of the word to walk is walking. The present participle of the word to run is running. So it has a different spelling, OK?
Now the spelling of the present participle of this word, Strong’s number 3874, happens to have the exact same spelling as Strong’s number 3875. So we see in the Hebrew text, a Hebrew word that could either be the present participle of Strong’s 3874 or it could be Strong’s 3875. And the King James translators have assumed that it is the present participle of 3874, but I suggest to you that it was intended to be Strong’s 3875. Is everybody with me? OK.
Strong’s 3875 is a masculine word. That is very important. It is a masculine word, which appears only one time in the Old Testament: in Isaiah 25:7. It is the only time it appears. Now when you have a word that appears only one time, you cannot apply the rule of usage to it. You have heard me many times take a word translated a particular way in the King James. And I will come to you, and I will say, this word can also mean something else. And it is in fact translated in this other way by the King James translators themselves in such-and-such a verse, in such-and-such a verse, in such-and-such a verse. Is everybody with me? But when a word is only used one time in the whole Old Testament, there is no test for usage, OK?
So you have to pray about this because I am going to suggest to you that the word translated wrapped, Strong’s 3874, should really be Strong’s 3875, which is a masculine word which means a covering or a veil. But I suggest to you that it being masculine is speaking about the covering which is Jesus Christ, the true husband of God’s creation.
And there are other words. I did not take the time to look them up, but I know in many of our studies, there have been words where a garment -- the Hebrew word translated garment -- means in Hebrew -- in the Hebrew idiom -- to take a wife. If a man covers himself, it means he has taken a wife. That is the Hebrew idiom.
Does anyone not know what I am speaking about? It is the way -- it is the local language of the Hebrew. For example in English, an idiom would be, well, he is all messed up. Well, to someone that came down from Mars, they would not know that in today’s idiom, it means that person’s head is messed up, and they are not thinking straight. Someone that came down from Mars would think, well, he is all messed up. He got ice cream on his face. Or he got mud on his jacket. The idiom of the English language in this hour, he is all messed up means the man’s head is not straight. And there is no way that any person could possibly know -- that someone from England or Australia that speaks English would come to the United States and not know what that phrase means unless they have either read it in a book or they have been living here for a while and find out the idiom of the language. Everybody OK?
So this masculine word, which means a covering, I suggest to you is speaking about the covering of the branching vine, which is Christ. So Elijah covered himself. He took on a husband, which is the branching vine, Christ. I suggest to you that Elijah covered himself with Christ, came under the authority of Christ. As soon as Christ manifested, Elijah slipped under His authority, ran right for His cover. That is what we are talking about.
So I am suggesting to you that Elijah covered his carnal mind or his carnal personality and his mind with the mind of Christ, and I have two scriptural witnesses to this. One is natural, and one is spiritual. And the witness is that a woman veils herself as a sign of respectful submission to her husband. Now in relationship to Christ, Elijah was -- is and was the woman, OK? So as soon as the mind of Christ manifested, Elijah veiled himself. He submitted to the mind of Christ and came under submission.
Now for years I have been curious as to why Rebecca veiled herself when she saw her husband in Genesis 24:65. I have been asking that question for years, and I understood that it was an act of respect for her husband. But I did not understand the spiritual principle behind it, and I now do: that Rebecca veiled herself with a cloth veil, but when we see our husband, we are required to veil ourselves with Him. We are required to come down under His submission.
That was the indication of the women in Bible days veiling their face. They were veiling their identity and saying, well, from now on, you are my only identity. My identity is hidden, and I take on the identity of my husband. And, brethren, from the moment that Christ begins to be formed in us, that is what the Lord Jesus Christ is requiring us to do. He is requiring us to hide the face of our carnal personality, to put away the desires of our flesh and to say to our husband, your identity is the only identity which I have.
And the church of Jesus Christ is in rebellion against this requirement of the living God. We do not want to give up our own identity. We are refusing in this hour to -- well, many of us are. I am not. The church -- I hope no- -- I am sure I must be in some areas because everybody has rebellion in some areas. It is just a question of more or less. So I will say we. We are refusing to veil our face in the presence of our husband. Glory to God.
So I give you as one witness to the fact that this expression, and Elijah covered himself with his mantle, that what he was doing was veiling his humanity and submitting to the nature and the personality which is in Christ. I give you the natural example of Rebecca in Genesis 24:65, and I give you a spiritual example in Isaiah 25:7, which says, “And he” -- speaking about Jehovah -- “will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations.”
Now I did an Alternate Translation on this. I am not going to spend too much time on it, but I will just briefly tell you what these words mean. I -- the Lord says He will destroy. That is Strong’s 1104, and it means to swallow down and devour. And we know that Jesus is eating us. We are eating Him, and He is eating us. And He said, if you do not eat and drink My blood, you have no part in Me. And He also said, if you are not hot or cold but you are lukewarm, I am going to spew you out of My mouth. We are eating each other.
And this is the scriptural way of expressing the fact that we are becoming one. We are eating Him; He is eating us. We are joining, and this act of eating implies great heat because it takes -- when we eat food, heat is applied -- internalized body heat -- to break down the food. So we are actually talking about atomic fusion, which is the mind of Christ coming together with the soul of man, and we are going to become one. And there is great heat involved with it. And this is the concept betw- -- behind us eating the Lord and His eating us.
To the carnal mind, it sounds barbarous, but the Scripture is speaking about a spiritual union. He who is joined to the Lord is one Spirit. And that union -- that joining to the Lord -- is with great heat, which can be likened unto atomic fusion. The Scripture sometimes expresses it as swallowing up or eating up. Glory to God.
“And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering.” These words, the face of the covering, it is the same words used in 1 Kings 19:13 where Elijah says he wrapped his face. It is the same words, so we are talking about the part that turns outward -- the mind or the personality of the covering. And again this is speaking about a masculine covering, but I suggest to you in this instance that this masculine covering is really the carnal mind, who is functioning in a male role.
And for a while, I was a little confused as to when to call her male and when to call her female. Who? The carnal mind and Satan. And the Lord has clarified that for me. When she is functioning in a male role, the Lord does call her male. But as soon as she is mentioned in the same context with the Lord Jesus Christ, she is immediately called female. The Lord is giving her her due that she is male in this world. She is male with regard to this world. So the Lord has promised to swallow down the mind of the masculine covering. That is the carnal mind.
“And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering” -- which is -- “cast over all the people.” The Str- -- the word translated cast is Strong’s 3874, and it means to envelop, to envelop. It is not just something that is thrown over you; it means that it is thrown over you, and it is sealed up. You are completely covered on all sides. To put in an envelope is to be completely covered on all sides. So the carnal mind has completely covered what part of us on all sides?
[INAUDIBLE]
Well, no, the carnal mind, the spirit. Yeah, our human spirit is completely swallowed up on every front by the carnal mind. And the Lord is going to swallow her up or join to that carnal mind.
“And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all the people.” Now this word translated over, it is Strong’s 5921, and it could also be translated a garment. Gesenius says it can also be translated a garment.
So we are saying the Lord Jehovah is going to swallow down, in this mountain, in this nation, the personality or the mind which is enveloping the garment of the people. Now the garment is the mind. Remember the garment is the mind, OK, of the people. And this word people is Strong’s 5971. It is often used of Israel.
The word vail -- and then we go on to say: He is going to “destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over the nations.” This word vail is Strong’s 4541, and it means web -- can be translated web. I believe it is the only time it is translated web. I wr- -- I looked it up, but I did not write it down.
And the web that is spread over all the nations -- this word translated spread, Strong’s 5259, guess what it means? The warp of the garment, the warp of the garment. It is the web of the warp. It is that which the warp is weaving. The word vail can be translated web or woven stuff, so it is the web that the warp is weaving over the nations. And the word over, again, can be translated garment that is being woven. So it is the web that the war- -- it is the web of the garment that the warp is weaving. That is what it is saying. So I am not going to spend too much time on it.
It is a difficult Alternate Translation. I am just going to give it to you. And this is Isaiah 25:7, “And the Lord shall swallow up the carnal personality, which is enveloping His garment.” Now remember: The word garment appeared twice. “And the Lord shall swallow up the carnal personality” -- or the carnal mind -- “which is enveloping His garment.” -- the Lord’s garment, Israel, like a web. “And the Lord shall swallow up the carnal personality, which is enveloping His garment, Israel, like a web, which is the warp of the garment of the nations.”
I will put it in better English for you. “And the Lord shall swallow up Satan’s carnal personality” -- or Satan’s carnal mind -- “which is enveloping Israel like a web.” And that just excited me because when I had that problem a couple of months ago, I was seen as being caught in a spider’s web. And as I told you at the beginning of the message, [UNINTELLIGIBLE] had the same thing.
So the spider’s web, whenever it -- now, look, we know these symbols are universal. If ever you get a vision of someone in a spider’s web, it means that the -- this was a person, who was manifesting and living out of the mind of Christ, in whom Satan has now spun his carnal mind and covered over the mind of Christ. That is what it means. Scripturally speaking to be a person caught in a spider’s web, you must have been living out of the mind of Christ, and the spider caught you and covered over your Christ mind with his carnal mind. That is what it means.
[?OK, now?] this is not talking about a man who has never had the mind of Christ. Praise God. Because it says right here that the Lord shall swallow up Satan’s carnal mind, which is enveloping Israel like a web. So the man who is caught in the web is a man who is typical of Israel. You have to be a Son of God to be caught in the web. Why? If you are not a Son of God, who are you?
The son of Satan.
You are the spider. You are the spider. Either you are the man Christ caught in the web or you are the spider. Praise God.
Now please note the two categories of people. One covers themselves, and the other is forcefully covered. OK, the submissive woman covers herself when she sees Christ. And then there is another category of people whom the mind of Christ is forcefully covering.
And the difference between these two categories? I suggest they signify the imputed and the imparted anointings. In which anointing do you have a choice whether you cover yourself or not? In the imputed anointing, you have a choice.
The church mistakenly says Christ is a gentleman. If you do not co- -- now remember covering yourself is laying hold of Christ and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ. Excuse me. You hear it a lot in the old-order churches: Make a decision for Christ. The Lord is allowing it. He lets people refuse Him. He lets people walk away from Him when the invitation that is being offered is the Holy Ghost.
But, brethren, when we are dealing with the imparted anointing, when we are dealing with the very person of the man Christ Jesus, He takes unto Himself whomsoever He pleases. And none says no unto Him. Can you hear it?
You see, when the Lord is in the form of the word of God, which is the sperma of God -- in case anybody thinks I am vulgar, that is the Greek word: sperma. When the sperm of God is reaching for you, you can say no, and He will just go to another egg. Because generally speaking the sperm of God is flowing over humanity. And just like our natural example of our human reproduction, wherever the sperm lands, wherever the sperm penetrates, that is the egg that is apprehended. Actually speaking in most instances, the sperm is just being sprayed over humanity. Let it fall where its ma- -- where it may. If it touches you and penetrates you, fine. If it does not, it is fine too. Can you hear what I am saying? It is just a general seeding of humanity. And if it spouts in you, fine, and if it does not sprout in you, that is fine too.
But once the sperm of God grows up into a full-grown man, brethren, you are not playing with the boy down the block anymore. He has taken whomsoever He will, and it is no longer a general seeding of humanity. But He is out there, and He is looking for the people whom His Father is directing Him to. He is out there, and He is looking for people that are going to be soldiers in His army. And He is out there looking for people that have spiritual riches buried in their person.
Now, brethren, everybody here is a mature believer. You know that there are some human eggs which receive the seed of Christ, and they never p- -- mature very far. Some of them never speak in tongues. Some of them speak in tongues with no life in it at all. Did you eve- -- I know -- I have someone in my mind right now. They speak in tongues, but there is no life in them. It is like a dead tongue that comes forth. There is no other sign of the life of Christ. They never go any further, never. They just stay right where they are.
What am I saying to you? I am saying that there are some people in this world that have a great spiritual potential, a great spiritual potential: a spiritual potential to be powerful in the Spirit. These are the people that Christ Jesus is going after.
The general seeding falls wherever it may. It falls on some people who are spiritually powerful or have the potential to be spiritually powerful, and it falls on other people that do not have the potential to be spiritually powerful. And there is great blessings for the people who do not have the potential to be spiritually powerful.
But, brethren, it is time to grow up. The bottom-line is that the Lord Jesus Christ, he is the Lord of hosts. He is a warrior Spirit whose wife has been stolen from Him, and He is at war with this soul that has raised up a mind out of its own flesh and stolen God’s wife. And He fully intends to take it back unto Himself.
And He is not going out of His way to apprehend people that do not have guns or do not know how to shoot or will never be qualified to be in His army. Now I know this is going to be mis- -- I know somebody is going to get ahold of this message and going to completely misunderstand what I am saying. Look, brethren, the whole living soul is being saved, but we are being saved by an army: by an army of saviors that the Lord is raising up on Mount Zion.
And the only way He is going to save this whole soul is by going after the people who have the potential to be the soldiers. And when He raises them up, they are going back, and they are going to get everybody. So it is not that God loves you better because you have a greater potential to be spiritually powerful. God is not a man. He is not a man. He is a Spirit, and He is going after the people who have a deep potential to be spiritual warriors because He fully intends to save this entire soul with an army of powerful spiritual giants. Can you hear this? I am telling you the truth.
Have you heard about the survival of the fittest in the animal kingdom? It is a truth. Have you heard about the survival of the fittest in the plant kingdom? Do you not prune off the branches that are weak and puny? It is the truth. You do not like it, and I hear them screaming in the realm of the spirit. They do not like it, but I am telling you the truth. It is the survival of the fittest.
The men and women who have the greatest potential to be spiritual warriors are being apprehended with their consent or without their consent. You cannot say no to this draft into God’s army, and it is not because God is a respecter of person. It is because this is His plan, and when His army is raised up, they are going to go in and get the weak ones out also.
Oh, I just hear this rage in the spirit. I hear all this pride. Everyone that has the Holy Ghost is equal. Lie! It is a lie! Everyone is not equal. And even amongst the Sons, everyone is not equal.
The different Sons are at different stages of growth at any given moment. There is a leadership. There is a true ministry even amongst the Sons. There is an eldership. There is an order. There is a chain of authority. And you are not coming all the way up without recognizing it and without submitting to it. And you take what God gives you.
And there is no place in the kingdom of God for ambition. The Lord’s overall direction, His overall thrust is to save all of us. There is no place for ambition in the kingdom. Be grateful that the Lord has bestowed this honor upon you. Ask Him to let you and to help you to be the fullness of what His purpose is for you, and be grateful that you could be a part of this great work.
And for anyone listening to this message -- because I know everybody here knows this -- do not be naïve. The higher the position you are called to, the more severe the persecution, the more severe the trials, and the greater devastation will be visited upon your human life. Which means what? Your relationships, your career, your family, your plans and goals for your own human life. Do not be naïve. You cannot serve God and Mammon. When God apprehends you, He requires everything, everything. And if He has truly apprehended and you will not give it up, He will take it.
Do not mix up the personality of the man Christ Jesus with the sperma of God. If you confuse the two, you are making a radically severe error. There is a radical difference between the man Christ Jesus and the sperma or the word of God. There is a radical difference between the two. There is a radical different between the anointing of the two.
And there is a radical difference between the lifestyle that human beings, who are expressing one or the other, express -- I lost my sentence there. There is a radical difference between the lifestyle of the human beings that are expressing the sperma of God, or through which the sperma of God is being expressed, and the human beings through which the man Christ Jesus is being expressed. They do not even look alike. They do not sound alike. They do not think alike. They have very, very little in common.
And usually the men through whom the sperma of God is being expressed are persecuting and trying to destroy the men through whom Christ Jesus is being expressed. Thank God for it. Now why would I say that? Because the men through whom the sperma of God is being expressed can never destroy the men through whom Christ Jesus is being expressed. If it were the other way around, the men through whom Christ Jesus is being expressed can do great damage to the men through whom the sperma of God is being expressed.
It is like a full-grown man, trained in karate, dealing with a 2- or a 3-year-old little boy. That is the difference. And thank God and Christ, to be an expression of Christ Jesus, you have more than muscles. You must have wisdom and restraint or you will not have your muscles.
I was watching -- I turned on the TV last night, and much to my surprise, it was a program -- I cannot remember the name. You would all know it if I told you, but that program with David Carradine where he is Caine. He is a Chinese man.
“Kung Fu.”
“Kung Fu,” yeah. This is the new one, “Kung Fu” revisited, new generation. And it is all about what we are teaching here, except from the carnal mind’s aspect of it.
There are two men, called the shadow men -- I may not have this right -- who have the ability to kill people with their mind. It was on TV last night. The whole country thinks it is a fantasy. It is not a fantasy. It is not a fantasy. They have ability to kill you with their mind. Now as I watched this program, the shadow man approached the victim and stood several feet away from him and punched the air. And every time the shadow man punched the air, the victim felt it as if there had been a contact -- as if he -- his -- the fist had contacted his body, but the fist did not contact his body.
Now, brethren, I have been experiencing this for years. I have been beat in the spirit for years. Do you hear what I am saying? On this TV program, a man stood several feet away from another man and punched the air, and the victim man felt it. I am telling you that you do not have to be 6 feet away from the man that is being hurt. I am telling you that if you are the victim, you do not have to have someone standing in front of you punching you. They could be on the other side of the world. And I am also telling you that if you are a victim of a shadow person -- for lack of a better word -- that neither does that shadow person need to be swinging his fist at the air for you to be feeling the impact of his fist. But it is done with thoughts: that people can do damage to you physically as well as mentally and spiritually with their thoughts.
And there are people in this world and people in this country that know about it, but the church thinks it is a joke. It is not a joke. And not only is it not a joke, the Lord God Jesus Christ is raising up an army who will be able to do the same thing. But they will be doing it in righteousness.
What does that mean? Well, Caine came to defend this poor man, who was being victimized by the shadow person. Now Caine is a heathen -- nothing about Christ in him. He is a heathen, and he stood up to the shadow man and said, I am sworn to defend this man. You cannot do this anymore. And then there was a fight between the two spiritual men: the black witch and the white witch.
I am telling you we are going to do it in Christ, but there is not going to be that kind of physical contact. It is going to be strictly mind, strictly mind. Sometimes the spoken word; sometimes it will not even be necessary to speak the words. But I am telling you it is happening right now that people are doing damage with their minds. Some people are doing it that know about it. And we have a whole church full of people who are doing it, who do not know about it, that they really think they can hate that person in their prayer closet, that they really think that they could gossip and backbite and that there is no effect of what they are doing.
But they are putting wounds in people. They are affecting their lives. And in some severe cases, people can die. It is real, and we are running a race. And we are out of time.
What is the race? What is the end of the race? To be built up as a spiritual man who can not only hold their own against this form of witchcraft but be victorious every time we intercede on behalf of a person who is weak and cannot defend themselves against it. We are the defender of the widow and the orphan. And what kind of a defense are we if we cannot defend them? Time is running out, brethren.
Our training is becoming intensified, like a boxer who goes away to camp before the championship fight. We are out of time. It takes time. It takes commitment. It takes everything.
Check it out in the world. Anybody that is any kind of an expert -- ice skating, boxing, wrestling, pianist -- anybody that has any form of expertise in this world devotes hours and hours of their life to it -- [AUDIO CUTS OUT] -- will not receive their strength in Christ as a gift. It has to be built into you as you practice wielding the power of God and as you confess your sins.
You must take the victory over the sin in your own heart first before you will be qualified or strong enough to be victorious over the sin in other people’s minds. I am telling you if you have not taken or overtaken the sin in your own mind, do not even get into the fight because you will be severely beaten like the sons of Sceva were. And you cannot overtake the sins in your own mind unless you are looking upon them and confessing them and are willing to deal with them. And that is the bottom-line: first victory in your own heart, then victory over your family -- and you have to see the sin in your family -- and then victory over the people that God sends you to -- victory and righteousness with love.
And the love of God is that the sin in man should be cast down so that they might be made into the righteousness of God. But if you go into this battle with unconfessed and undealt-with sin in your own heart, you are going to be wounded. You are going to be wounded. Hallelujah. Let us go on. I do not know how I got off onto that.
Alternate Translation, the first half of 1 Kings 19:13, “And when Elijah perceived the battle, he veiled his carnal personality with Christ.” How did I get that? “And when” -- just a minute. I will read you the King James. “And when Elijah heard” -- the Scripture does not say what Elijah heard.
I suggest to you when Elijah heard the noise of the battle -- brethren, there is a battle going on in the realm of the spirit. It is noisy if you have spiritual ears to hear it. We had a word in the last meeting. I believe it was the last meeting. The word was translated earthquake, but it was the sound of the brandishing of spears and of horses neighing and of conflict. It is a loud, loud noise if you can hear it.
You have to be able to hear in the spirit. You have to be able to recognize what it is when you hear it because it does not sound like the noise of human battle. So maybe some of you are hearing it, but you do not understand what you are hearing. You have to be able to recognize it. The battle is fierce.
So our Alternate Translation is, “When Elijah heard the battle” -- or when he perceived the battle -- “he veiled his carnal personality” -- or his carnal mind -- “with Christ.” He realized what was going on. He realized that Christ had arisen in him and was fighting with his own carnal mind. And Elijah threw himself in line with Christ, submitted to Christ.
I have been preaching that a long time. You have got to be on Christ’s side because the Lord fights for you in direct proportion to your commitment to Him. And I tell you the truth. I know there are people that do not like the sound of that, but I am telling you the truth. Christ Jesus fights for you -- the strength with which He fights for you is in direct proportion to the strength that you fight for yourself.
How do I know? I have been through it. I have been through it. That is why if there is any chance that there is sin in me, I am running to the altar to confess it. I do not waste a second. Because if we are getting whipped because there is unconfessed sin in our heart or if we are getting whipped because we are not -- as far as God is concerned, not as far as my standard is concerned -- but if the Lord thinks you should be in church more than you are and you are not, if the Lord thinks you should be in the word more than you are and you are not, it is His decision. It is not mine. You are having unpleasant circumstances come into your life.
And He has all the time in the world. You are the one that is in hell for extended periods of time. He fights like a man of war. He arises up from underneath the earth of your carnal mind with great strength in direct proportion to the intensity of your penetrating into His life. If you -- if He is number 5 on your list, you just may be number 5 on His list.
All this screaming -- did Jesus not have an inner circle? My Bible says He had an inner circle. Who was it? Was it not Peter, James and John? Peter, James and John. Then there were the other nine, and then there were hundreds of disciples outside of that.
When I first came to the Lord, I did not understand all these ministries that would say, send me a prayer request. I said, that is not right. We all have access to the throne of God. Yes, we do, but some people are closer to the throne of God than others. And if they are truly men of God, they will intercede for you. Some people are closer to the throne of God than others.
What you put in, you get back. What you sow, you shall reap. It is the truth. It is free. Salvation is free. It is grace; it is not of works. Brethren, that which is free -- that grace which is free -- is the Holy Spirit, which comes to you -- and Lord willing -- will engraft Himself to you and cause Christ Jesus to be formed in you. That is the end of the free gift.
From that point forward, you pick it up and you use that talent, or you are going to lose it. And you are going to reap in direct proportion to the extent and the ingenuity and the effort with which you use it. That is what Jesus said. You have to hear the whole council of God. The church is on vacation. Jesus.
Genesis 24:25 says, “verily” -- oh, that cannot be. That is a wrong Scripture. I have the right Scripture with the wrong reference. “Verily” -- this is in the Book of John somewhere. I am sorry I have the wrong Scripture down -- somewhere in the Gospel of John. “Verily, verily I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.”
This Scripture, brethren, is talking about the imputed anointing as contrasted against the imparted anointing. And I am reall- -- I put that Scripture in here to relate it to Elijah veiling himself. When you have the imputed anointing, you dress yourself. You go to church if you feel like it. You do not go if you do not feel like it. If you want to receive the Lord’s overtures towards you, you receive it. Otherwise you do not receive it. You minister to whoever you feel like ministering to. You pass out your tracts. You do your things.
But when you are older, brethren, you do not dress yourself anymore. Christ dresses you, and all you do is hold your hands out. You do as you are told. You do as you are told. And to go off on your own when Christ has become your covering is sin unto you. Now the Lord is going to be gentle with you as He teaches you and as he reins you in to not do or say anything unless your Father in heaven is saying it or doing it.
I do not want anyone getting condemnation from what I am preaching, but I am telling you the truth. There is a changing of the guard here. There is a transition from the imputed anointing to the imparted anointing. And there is a radical difference in your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ depending on whether your anointing is imputed or imparted. You cannot do things with the imparted anointing that you did with the imputed anointing.
The Lord is not winking anymore. He wants your obedience. He wants to be in full control of your life. So we see Elijah veiled himself as soon as Christ manifested. He hid behind Christ and totally submitted to His authority. So we see that Rebecca veiled herself -- the imputed anointing -- but Christ veiled Elijah -- the imparted anointing.
Continuing with the second half of 1 Kings 19:13, “And Elijah went out, and he stood in the entering of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?” Elijah went out -- Strong’s 3318: to go free, to -- or it can be translated go out of the womb. And I suggest to you that Elijah’s human spirit went out from -- where did she go out from? Does anybody know? She went out from the carnal mind. She went out or separated herself from the carnal mind.
And “stood in the entering of the cave,” stood is Strong’s 5975. I suggest to you it implies full stature. In the entering, that Hebrew word translated entering is Strong’s 6607, and it means door. I suggest to you that it is speaking about Christ. John 10:7 says, “Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.” So Elijah stood in the entering -- in the door, I suggest to you, Christ -- of a cave, Strong’s 4631. We had this earlier in this series. It can be translated to arouse from sleep. I suggest to you that Elijah stood up in full statue, or let us say he entered into the door, and he was aroused from sleep. And he stood up in full stature. Hallelujah.
“And, behold, a voice unto him, said, What doest thou here, Elijah?” And this time I suggest to you, the voice is Jehovah. You may recall from the last message the voice was a still, small voice. It was the voice of the dust in verse 12. But in verse 13, a voice said to him, what are you doing here? And I suggest to you that voice was Jehovah.
And you will note that in verse 10, it was the word of the Lord that asked Jehovah -- that asked Elijah what he was doing there. But in verse 13, it is Jehovah that asks Elijah what he is doing there. And the reason for this, I suggest to you, is that in verse 10, Elijah is a fallen man. He is a fallen man, in which the mind of Christ is beginning to be formed and whose mind is in the process of being renewed. And therefore, he needs a medi- -- or he needed a mediator to communicate with Jehovah, and that mediator was Christ. In verse 13, however, Elijah is in full stature. That means he is Christ, and he speaks directly to Jehovah. Can you hear it? Can you hear it?
Alternate Translation, the second half of 1 Kings 19:13, “And Elijah awoke from the sleep of death, which is in the carnal mind. And Satan released his human spirit, and she joined with Christ Jesus. And Elijah stood up in full stature, and Jehovah said, what are you doing here?” Et cetera, et cetera.
Alternate Translation, the whole of 1 Kings 19:13, “And Satan released his human spirit, and she joined with Christ Jesus. And the mind of Christ was formed in Elijah and veiled his carnal mind. And Elijah awoke from the sleep of death and perceived the battle. And Elijah stood up in full stature, and Jehovah said, what are you doing here, Elijah?”
Amplified Translation 1 Kings 19:13, “And the mind of Christ was formed in Elijah, and he awoke from the sleep of death and perceived the battle. And Satan released his human spirit, and she joined with Christ Jesus. And Christ Jesus veiled Elijah’s carnal mind, and Elijah stood up in full stature.”
Hallelujah. Now please note that this awaking from sleep is a process and that when the mind of Christ is -- first begins to be formed in you, you begin to be raised or aroused from sleep. And you are not fully roused from sleep until you are in full stature. That is why we do not have full vision in the realm of the Spirit: because we are still sleeping. Actually sleep is death. We are not fully awakened until we are actually raised from the dead. Now that does not mean your whole body has to be raised from the dead, but your mind has to be raised from the dead. That is the first stage of the resurrection known as full stature. Your mind has to be raised from the dead for you to see in the Spirit without hindrance.
Alternate Translation, 1 Kings 19, this is verses 11 - 13, “And Christ Jesus said, let your human spirit be liberated and arise into the mind of Christ. And there it was: Jehovah overshadowed Elijah’s carnal mind and penetrated her. And the Spirit of Christ joined with Elijah’s human spirit. And the mind of Christ was formed in Elijah, and the Spirit of Christ chased after and overtook Satan in the unconscious mind of the Sons of God. And Christ Jesus chased after and overtook the beast in their conscious minds. And the Spirit of Christ broke Satan’s power and divided the unified unconscious mind of the Sons of God. And the mind of Christ crushed the bones of the carnal mind, and Elijah’s carnal mind died. Nevertheless despite all of His warlike behavior, Jehovah was a source of spiritual power to Elijah, which silenced the voice of the beast that was trying to kill him. And the mind of Christ was formed in Elijah, and he awoke from the sleep of death and perceived the battle. And Satan released his human spirit, and she joined with Christ Jesus. And Christ Jesus veiled Elijah’s carnal mind, and Elijah stood up in full stature.”
Now I took those three verses, 11 through 12, and I put them in the right sequence as follows: “And Christ Jesus said, let your human spirit be liberated and arise into the mind of Christ. And there it was: Christ Jesus overshadowed Elijah’s carnal mind, and the Spirit of Christ penetrated her and joined with Elijah’s human spirit. And the mind of Christ was formed in Elijah, and Elijah awoke from the sleep of death and perceived the battle. And Satan released his human spirit, and she joined with Christ Jesus. And Christ Jesus veiled Elijah’s carnal mind, and the Spirit of Christ chased after and overtook Satan in the unconscious mind of the Sons of God. And the mind of Christ chased after and overtook the beast in their conscious minds. And the Spirit of Christ broke Satan’s power and divided the unified unconscious mind of the Sons of God. And the mind of Christ crushed the bones of the carnal mind, and she died. And this is how Christ Jesus silenced the voice of the beast, which was trying to kill Elijah and restored him to full stature.”
Now remember that in verse 10, Elijah tells the Christ that he has diligently served Jehovah with his carnal mind as well as with his Christ mind. Elijah, in full stature, now gives the same account of what happened to him as when he was in his carnal mind. This indicates that Elijah was as faithful to the Lord when his carnal mind was manifesting as when he was in full stature.
Christ Jesus knew what had happened but asked the question to see if Elijah understood. That is in verse 10. Now Elijah, having been found faithful both as a carnal man in verse 10 and as Christ in verse 13, the Lord, starting with verse -- I think it is verse 15 -- in verse 15 we see sends Elijah forth to execute judgment upon the unfaithful sons of Israel.
I would like to read you verses 3 through 13 of 1 Kings 19, all interspersed and amplified, and it is very exciting. And then I would like to spend some time going over the judgment that Elijah was given to execute and spend a few minutes on the manifestation of that judgment in the actual, physical life of the nation of Israel. Now this -- what I am reading you now, you have copies of.
This is an interspersed and Amplified Translation of 1 Kings 19:3-14, “And at the time that Elijah yielded to Satan’s thoughts, he rebelled against Christ and deserted him. And Elijah’s human spirit was joined to Satan, and Satan strengthened Elijah’s carnal mind, Sat- -- which is Satan’s high priest, who was held captive by Christ.
“And Elijah married and had intercourse with his carnal mind. And Elijah’s carnal mind rose up hostilely and sacrificed Christ unto Satan.
“And Elijah stopped worshipping Christ, and Christ vanished underneath Elijah’s carnal mind. And Elijah became joined to his dead soul.
“And Elijah willed within himself and requested that his elder brother, the Lord Jesus Christ, should crucify his enemy, the carnal mind, and marry his hostile soul quickly. And he acknowledged that his carnal mind was not Christ, the Son of His true Father, Jehovah.
“And behold Jehovah’s high priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, came to Elijah, the one who was joined to his own soul” -- now please note: That is the carnal mind. That which is born of flesh is flesh. Elijah was the one who was joined in mind to his own soul. “And He” -- the Lord Jesus Christ -- “said to Himself, Elijah” --
And I want to take a minute there. In a past message, I had preached this that Elijah Christ was speaking to Elijah’s carnal mind. But when I interspersed it with the whole series of verses, I find that what the Scripture is really saying is that the Lord Jesus Christ said to himself -- now we have done studies specifically in the -- chapter 14 of the Book of Revelation, which clearly indicate that the Lord considers us Himself just as a man considers his flesh -- as the spirit man considers his flesh himself. We are considered Himself by the Lord Jesus Christ.
So I did not teach it exactly correct although I did the best I could when I was just dealing with one verse. When I interspersed it, I found out that it is really the Lord Jesus Christ speaking to Elijah, calling Elijah Himself. Is -- are you OK? Everybody OK? OK.
“And behold Jehovah’s high priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, came to Elijah, the one who was joined to his own soul. And He, the Lord Jesus Christ, said to Himself, Elijah, how in the world did you fall down from full stature into this low spiritual place?” And at this point, verse 10 is interspersed here. “And Elijah said, I have served Jehovah, the God of battle, fervently in Christ as well as with my humanity, but the Sons of God are seeking to stop me from exposing their sins by killing me. And they have broken their marriage covenant with Jehovah and separated themselves from Him in their thoughts. And their carnal minds have murdered their own Christ minds. And I have been circumcised, and my carnal mind remains.
“And when the Lord Jesus Christ heard this, He willed that Elijah should eat His flesh: that Elijah should eat the flesh of the Lord Jesus Christ so that Christ Jesus should be born in Elijah and that the mind of Christ should appear as his renewed mind.
“And Elijah looked, and there was his elder brother, the Lord Jesus Christ, overshadowing his soul” -- remember that the Spirit of God overshadowed Mary. The Lord Jesus Christ was overshadowing his soul -- “and shooting His fiery arrows” -- that is the Spirit of Christ now -- “into Elijah’s carnal mind, saying and commanding with a word that has authority, let your human spirit be liberated and arise into the mind of Christ.” So the Lord Jesus Christ was speaking the word with the word of God, saying, let your human spirit come to life and arise to Me, the mind of Christ. And he was also, while He was speaking the word, shooting His Spirit into Elijah to bring this word to pass, OK.
“And Elijah looked, and there was his elder brother, the Lord Jesus Christ, overshadowing his soul and shooting His fiery arrows into his carnal mind, saying let your human spirit be liberated and arise into the mind of Christ.
“But Elijah was still worshipping his carnal mind.” Now, listen, the word was spoken over him: Arise from the dead. And the Lord Jesus Christ was shooting his fiery arrows into Elijah’s soul. But it says here, “Elijah was still worshipping his carnal mind.”
Now, brother -- brethren, some people just need to be exposed to the anointing, which is in Christ, a little bit more than other people. Some people are very fertile. They are exposed to the anointing of Christ, and they are running off. Christ Jesus is being formed in them, and they are running with the bull. Do not be discouraged if you need to be exposed more than once. You expose yourself to the anointing, which is in Christ, over and over and over and over again until you are penetrated. Do not give up. Everybody is not equally fertile.
“But Elijah, even though he had heard the word of God and the Spirit of Christ had flowed over him, he was still worshipping his carnal mind. So the Lord Jesus Christ” -- now what does that mean: to worship your carnal mind? He was still obeying his carnal mind rather than Christ. That is what it means. So what does that also mean? Now the fiery arrows are the Holy Ghost in our -- in the church today.
Is that the exact word? Let me give you the exact word here. “And the Lord Jesus Christ was shooting His fiery arrows into Elijah’s carnal mind.” That is likened unto sitting under an anointing with the Holy Ghost, brethren. So Elijah sat under the Holy Ghost, but he was still worshipping his carnal mind. And I want to tell you that the people who are under the anointing of the Holy Ghost are still worshipping their carnal mind. They are still -- what does to worship your carnal mind mean? They are still thinking with their carnal mind. They are dancing, and they are singing, and they are prophesying and they are speaking in tongues, but they are still worshipping their carnal mind.
So “Elijah was still worshipping His carnal mind, so the Lord Jesus Christ wounded her” -- or his carnal mind -- “again, shot more arrows. And this time, Christ Jesus arose in Elijah” -- the word engrafted -- “this time Christ Jesus arose in Elijah with enough strength to penetrate his carnal mind. And this is how it happened. First the Spirit of Christ penetrated Elijah’s carnal mind. And then the Father’s seed joined with Elijah’s human spirit. And the mind of Christ was formed in Elijah.”
“And as Elijah began to awake from the sleep of death, he perceived the battle.” And there are a lot of Christians today in which this battle -- in whom this battle is going on. They cannot perceive it. The Lord Jesus Christ is fighting to raise them from the dead, and they cannot perceive it. And they are on the side of the carnal mind, fighting against Christ. We have a whole church world full of people fighting against the Sons of God and against the doctrine. They are on the side of the carnal mind because they cannot perceive the battle.
“And as Elijah began to awake from the sleep of death, he perceived the battle. And Satan was releasing his human spirit, and she was passing out of Elijah’s carnal mind and joining with the mind of Christ and cleaving unto Christ Jesus. And Christ Jesus veiled Elijah’s carnal mind.
“And as Elijah was aroused from the sleep of death and his mind was being renewed and he was becoming Christ, the living expression of Jehovah, Elijah’s carnal mind became spiritually weak, and she prostrated herself before Christ. And Christ Jesus tread Elijah’s carnal mind underfoot. And Satan became sick and died, and Elijah’s carnal mind dried up and died also. And Christ Jesus married Elijah’s soul, and Elijah stood up in full stature -- his spirit stood up in full stature. And therefore his soul was converted.” If that Spirit, which raised Jesus from the dead, dwell in you, that Spirit, which raised Christ from the dead, shall quicken your mortal body. His Spirit stood up in full stature. His soul was converted or quickened.
“And when Elijah’s soul was made alive” -- so we see conversion makes alive. We have a lot of people in the church saying, they are converted. You are not converted. You are converted when your mind -- when your s- -- when the sitting king on your soul -- when the mind that sustains your life in this world system is Christ, that is when you have been converted. What does that mean? It means that you have been beheaded. Your soul has been beheaded. The carnal mind is no longer the sitting queen but that Christ Jesus is the sitting king. And therefore your soul has been converted. It has a new mind, not in imagination or in mind control, but you have had the actual experience of having a new mind. And that is the conversion.
“And when Elijah’s soul was made alive, Christ Jesus in Elijah went after the Sons of God and the S-“ -- now do you hear this? Do you hear this? Je- -- Elijah had to wait until he was restored to full stature before he went after the minds -- the carnal minds -- of the fallen men, which were trying to kill him.
OK, now I believe that there is a place before you are in full stature where you begin to go after the carnal minds of the fallen men who are trying to kill you. But to go after the fallen minds of men, who are trying to kill you because you are Christ, with an ability to destroy them, you have to be in full stature. Now do not stop reading the message. When you are in full stature and you have the power to do it -- we are going to read about, in another minute, the mind of Christ.
The man Christ Jesus in Elijah utterly destroyed the carnal minds of the Sons of God. When you are powerful enough to do that, you shall also raise them from the dead in the newness of Christ. We are not talking about killing the physical men. We are speaking about killing their carnal minds, which God will not let you do until you have whatever it takes to raise them from the dead in Christ. God does not want these people to die. He wants them converted. OK, let us finish this up.
“And when Elijah’s soul was made alive, Christ Jesus in Elijah went after the Sons of God, and the Spirit of Christ chased after and overtook Satan in their unconscious mind. And the mind of Christ chased after and overtook the beast in their conscious minds. And the Spirit of Christ broke Satan’s power and divided the unified unconscious mind of the Sons of God. And the mind of Christ crushed the bones of their carnal minds, and they died also.
“And this is how Christ Jesus silenced the voice of the beast, which was trying to kill Elijah and restored him to full stature.
“And after Elijah’s complete restoration to full spiritual authority in Christ, Jehovah said to him, how in the world did you fall down from full stature into this low spiritual place? And Elijah said, I have served Jehovah, the God of battle, fervently in Christ as well as with my humanity. But the Sons of God are seeking to stop me from exposing their sins by killing me, and they have broken their marriage covenant with Jehovah and separated themselves from Him in their thoughts. And their carnal minds have murdered their own Christ minds. And I have been circumcised, and my carnal mind remains.”
Jesus. Well, I see as I read this that that little paragraph, which said, “And this is how Christ Jesus silenced the voice of the beast” -- I guess it really goes after this paragraph of Jehovah’s explanation. In the new covenant, of course, we are talking about the conversion of mind, but under the old covenant, in this Old Testament account, for Elijah -- or for the Scripture to say that the voice of the beast was silenced, the judgment pronounced by God would have to be fully executed. And we see this judgment pronounced on Israel.
Now let me remind you: We had a whole meeting on this. We talked about it for a long time that God does not execute judgment until His Son is crucified. That is the procedure that the Lord has set up. God let Elijah, who was in a temporary full stature, be cast down and have this horrible experience before he went and judged the Sons of God whose carnal minds had killed him. Now God knew the wickedness that was in the carnal minds of the Sons of God, but he did not judge them until they killed Christ in Elijah.
Now this is very important. God is a legalist. God is a legalist, and that is why there is so little judgment being executed in the church today. Because if anyone sins against a believer who is worshipping their carnal mind -- now they may have the Holy Ghost. They may speak in tongues, but they are truly worshipping their carnal mind. They are not under the control of the Christ, OK. Their behavior is not ordered by Christ. They are living as carnal men even though they speak in tongues. No matter what you do to those people, you will reap what you sow, but God is not coming with judgment for you doing evil to another carnal man even though he speaks in tongues.
For judgment to fall, you must murder the Son of God. It is a principle. It is God’s law. It is not my law. And therefore as you ascend into full stature, you must know that you must be persecuted. You must know that you must be betrayed. Brethren, if no one has betrayed you, you are not moving in a high realm of [?sonship?]. Now I am not criticizing you, and there is nothing for you to be upset about or sha- -- or ashamed about, but you need to know where you are spiritually. If you are not being betrayed, if you have not been betrayed by your very best friend, you have not entered into that high realm yet. Because if there is an initiation -- there is an initiation to enter into the high realms of the Spirit, and one of them is that you must be betrayed by one of your closest associates.
I am telling you I know what I am talking about. I am telling you the truth. And you have t- -- obviously you have to respond out of Christ, but you must be betrayed. You must be crucified. The Christ in you must be crucified by people’s carnal minds. It has to happen to you.
If it does not happen to you, you are not moving in the two-witness company. And the -- to be a part of the two-witness company, you must be an imperfect man whose Christ mind is mature enough to qualify you to judge people’s sins. And this is called judging righteous judgment. If we judge before the time, it is sin unto us.
What does that mean? If you are judging people’s sins out of your carnal mind, it is sin. If you are judging people’s sin out of the mind of Christ, it is righteous judgment. If you are in that place, you are required to do it. You are required to see sin in people’s hearts and call it what it is. You are required to forgive them. You are required to expose them, and you are required to do whatever God directs you to do that they might be converted into the righteousness of God.
So this is very important message for this group and for anyone listening to this message because if you are here, you are called to be a member of the two-witness company. If you are hearing this, it is what you are called to. And I am telling you that God is a legalist. You will not -- He will not send you out -- you will not enter into this ministry if you have not conformed to His every requirement. You must see the sin in people. You must be murdered by the carnal mind of the person that you are exposing sin in. And then you must be raised from the dead by the Lord Jesus Christ. You must execute the judgment that the Lord tells you to execute, and you must raise these people from the dead by so doing.
So please note that in verse 15, the Lord Jehovah said to Elijah, “Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when you come, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.” Please note that the judgment is of the Lord God Jehovah, that the Son, the member of the two-witness company, does not determine what the judgment is.
What does the Son do? The Son reports to the Lord. The Sons of Israel have tried to kill me because I have exposed their sin, but the Lord God, determines what the judgment will be.
I am going to say it again. The Son of God exposes the sin first to the individual. The individual has a choice of confessing that sin and repenting and judging themselves so that they are not judged or coming under the judgment of the Lord. Now in the new covenant, when you come under the judgment of the Lord, if you cannot see your sin, if it is exposed and you cannot see it, you are required to submit yourself to God in the event that this exposure is true. You are required to say, Lord, if it is true, I want to see it because I do not want to be judged by an outside judgment. You are required to do that. Lord willing you will not attack the Son who is exposing it in you, but if you do, that is OK. The only thing that matters is that this sin is going to be exposed in accordance with the will of the Lord. He will execute any judgment. It is His judgment. It is His decision as to what it is going to take for you to see it.
Why? Because He wants you to be in His army, and if you are in His army and there is unconfessed sin in you, you are going to be hurt. You cannot be in His army with sin in you. You are going to be hurt. Your armor is righteousness, OK?
But we are under the old covenant here, so it is a little more severe in the account of 1 Kings 19. But in this new covenant, everything is going to work to your good. Everything that is happening to you, every sin that is exposed, every judgment that falls upon you is working to raise you up into full stature. God’s ultimate goal is to raise you up into full stature. You have got to hear that. Hold it close to your heart. Do not let anyone take that revelation from you.
But under the old covenant, this was not the case. And because the Sons of God, having been tried by Elijah -- he went to them and exposed their sins, and their response was to kill him. The Lord executes judgment upon them.
Now I have read this account for years, and I used to say -- at this point, with verse 15 -- what in the world is the Lord telling -- talking about, telling Elijah to go anoint King Hazael? Well, for those of you that do not know it, King Hazael or the man Hazael, who Elijah was instructed to anoint as king of Syria, when he finally did become king of Syria 15 years later, became a serious enemy, which did great damage to the nation of Israel.
Did anybody know that? For years I read this account. I said, why is he appointing King -- Hazael as king? He appointed an evil king. Jehovah appointed an evil king who would be a powerful warrior over the enemy, heathen nation of Syria with the specific purpose and intention of Syria waging war against Israel and hurting her or hurting him -- excuse me -- severely. Israel is male -- hurting him severely.
Now in the new covenant, the new covenant type of His judgment that a criminal king should be raised up over a warlike nation to wage war against the nation of Israel -- the new covenant type of it is the member of the two-witness company coming to someone’s carnal mind and attacking it. That is the new covenant type of it. But the end of it is the death of your carnal mind and the resurrection of Christ in you. So we see the first judgment that came against Israel was that God prophesied an enemy king should be raised up to wage war against Israel. So the first judgment is war.
Verse 16, “And Jehu the son of Nimshi thou -- shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel.” Now Jehu -- let me put it on the message for those of you who do not know. Jehu was a faithful king of Israel that went into the temple and killed all the false prophets. It was a bloody thing to be a king in the days of the nation of Israel.
So then we see the Lord saying -- and -- well, then also in verse 6, Elisha was pointed as prophet. And in verse 17, Jehovah says, and it shall come to pass, that the one that escapes from Hazzael’s sword, the one who does not die from the invasion, shall Jehu slay. That means if the enemy king does not get you, the king of Israel is going to get you. And if the sword of Jehu does not get you, the sword of Elisha the prophet will get you.
So what are we saying in modern-day language? Either the enemy army is going to get you or the police in the state that you live in is going to get you or the prophet is going to get you or you are going to be get- -- gotten by spiritual -- some form of spiritual pestilence. But every Son of God that killed Elijah was going to be dead either by a heathen -- at the hand of a heathen enemy, at the hand of your own government or at the hand of some form of spiritual pestilence.
Verse 18, “Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which he has -- which hath not kissed him.” So although this three-fold judgment was prophesied upon Israel, God said, do not worry, O ye faithful. Do not worry; you will be OK.
And this is what is happening in our nation today. As we watch the judgments fall upon the nation, we see corruption in the government, a lot of people in jail that do not belong there. We see spiritual pestilence everywhere, and we do see a measure of the judgment known as an enemy army for those of our young people who have gone overseas to other nations and have been killed overseas although we have not been invaded yet, thank God. But God says to us, who are in the midst of everything that is happening, earthquakes, floods -- who knows? I hope we are not invaded. I thought at one time the Lord had told me that we would not be, but I am not worried about it.
We have to believe that those of us who have not bent our knee to Baal will be kept by the grace of God. And to those of us who are Sons, who are experiencing this kind of judgment in the Spirit, just stay close to the Lord and try to work with Him. Ask Him to help you to not work against Him but to work with Him so that you should be raised up that your carnal mind should die whether it be by an enemy army --
Now let us spiritualize this. How -- if these three judgments come against your carnal mind, what form will it take? An enemy army? That means someone else’s carnal mind will come against you and do some kind of damage to you. If the -- Jehu, typifying the king of Israel, that would be the Son of God coming against you with the righteous mind of Christ. And Elisha coming against you, what would that be? OK, let me take that back.
Let us see: Elisha would have to be the mind of Christ coming against you. The enemy army would be a heathen carnal mind coming against you. And Jehu, the king of Israel -- well, I am just hoofing this. I could be off, but it sounds like it might be -- well, OK, let me say this, OK. The Syrian army, Hazael, would be someone’s carnal mind coming against you. And Jehu and Elisha would be the spiritual Son coming against you. Jehu would typify an open confrontation, a verbal confrontation, and Elisha would typify a warfare in the spirit between the mind of Christ in someone’s prayer closet against your mind of Christ -- against your carnal mind.
It is coming on three different levels depending on what the Lord decides you need to break your carnal mind. God does not punish you for punishment’s sake in the new covenant. If you are a Son, you are not being punished for punishment’s sake. Your carnal mind is being punished. It is being wounded that it should dry up and die that Christ should arise in you and be your mind.
So what we see in verses 19 through 21, simply that Elijah did what the Lord told him. He appointed Hazael king over Syria. He appointed Jehu king over Israel. And he appointed Elisha as prophet. Now if we want to see the results of all this, we have to go into the Book of 2 Kings, chapter 8, 15 years later to see this -- all the results of this coming to pass.
2 Kings 8, verses 8 and 9, “And the king said unto Hazael” -- now this is the king of Syria. “And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God” -- meaning Elisha -- “and enquire of the Lord by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease? So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?”
Now as you can see, Hazael was a servant of the sitting king, Benhadad. And Benhadad sent him on a mission to the Israeli prophet to find out whether or not he would live or die. And in verse 12, we see Hazael. Well, let us take verse 11. And Elisha listened to what Hazael had to say and started to cry. And in verse 12 Hazael says to Elisha, “Why weepeth my lord?” And Elisha answered, “Because I know the evil that you will do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds will you set on fire, and their young men will you slay with the sword, and you will dash their children, and rip their women up with child.”
Verse 13, “And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great” -- or terrible -- “thing? And Elisha answered, the Lord hath shown me that you shall be king over Syria.” Hazael had no idea -- if you check it out, this is 15 years later.
So we go on to verse 15, “And it came to pass on the morrow, that Hazael took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on Benhadad’s face, so that he died: and Hazael” -- became king. As a result of an act of murder, Hazael became king. He was a wicked man. I hope that you know that even a heathen nation can have a decent king over it. Darius was a decent king. Artaxerxes was a decent king. But Hazael was a wicked, cruel king, who ascended to the throne of Assyria as a result of an act of murder.
Continuing at verse 28 and 29, “And Hazael went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against” -- I am sorry. I do not remember who that was. Somebody “went with Joram the son of Ahab to war against Hazel king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.
“And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, and he fought against Hazel king of Syria. And Ahaziah the king of Johoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.” Well, this -- I just read you these verses to show you that Hazael waged war against Israel.
And we will go on now to 2 Kings 9:14 - 15, “So Jehu the son of” -- now remember the prophecy. Everyone that did not die at the hand of Hazael, now they are going to be subject to Jehu. In 2 Kings 9, starting with verse 14, we are seeing the acts of Jehu. “So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram” -- the king of Israel. Is that not what it said? Joram was the king of Israel. And Joram the son of Ahab -- right: Joram the king of Israel.
Now please note that at the time that this judgment is executed, Ahab is no longer king of Israel. It is a great mystery that God waits until the next generation, and the carnal mind in man says, this is not fair. The Sons of God that killed Elijah, that killed his Christ mind, they were under Ahab. Why is God doing this evil under Joram? It is a great mystery, brethren, but God does that. And it is just His way of saying, you are the sons of the -- o- -- you are the son of the king under whom the Sons of God killed Elijah, and there is no difference between you and him. You are the same spiritual man. And whether you like it or not, it is God’s truth.
“So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.”
Verse 15, “But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go and tell it in Jezreel.”
Now the prophecy is completely coming to pass. Joram comes back from a war with Hazael, who failed to kill him, and he rides right into a conspiracy led up by Jehu. It is exactly as it is prophesied. Now I am not going to take the time on the message to read the rest of this account in verse -- in chapter 9, but you can read it yourself if you would like to. And you see that Jehu rebelled against Joram because Joram was promoting false worship, and Jehu did the work of the Lord and wiped out many of the fo- -- wiped out the -- well, let us go down to verse 24 and see what happened.
“And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram” -- he killed King Jehoram. See, Jehoram escaped from Hazael, and he was killed by Jehu. And he was smitten by Jehu “between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.
“Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the Lord laid this burden upon him.”
OK, I do not want to get all caught up in that. OK, and then as you follow along in chapter 9, we see Jezebel is getting killed. Going on to Chapter 10, verse 32, we see, “In those days the Lord began to cut Israel short: and Hazael smote them in the coasts of Israel.” So we see Hazael defeating Israel. In Chapter 12:17-18, “Then Hazael king of Syria went up, and fought against Gath, and took it: and Hazael set his face to go up to Jerusalem.” Well this is Judah, and we are going to skip that over. That was a judgment on Judah.
Chapter 13, verse 3, “And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Judah, and he delivered them into” -- oh, this is still Judah, OK. This is still Judah. I guess we do not need this.
Chapter 13, verse 22, “But Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Johoahaz.” Verse 24, “So Hazazel king of Syria died” -- well, that is not concerning us right now.
OK, the only thing that we did not cover here was Elisha- -- was the ex- -- was the judgment that Elisha the prophet executed on Israel. And apparently I did not look up those Scriptures, so you will just have to forgive me. I just came with the deeds of Hazael and the deeds of Jehu. Hazael was a -- the king of a criminal army. Jehu conspired against the sitting king and took the kingdom out of his hand. And Elisha executed spiritual judgment upon Israel, whatever that was.
And all of this began 15 years after Elijah’s horrendously painful experience. It began 15 years later, and the judgment went on for years. Glory to God. Well, we have an interesting account of 1 Kings 19 that you never heard anything like this before. Interesting, was it not? Praise God.

Did the judgment fall because of Elijah first having his carnal mind go and rebel against the Lord? Because it took 15 years, and it started with him. And then it was Hazael --
Who was him? It started with him?
Elijah.
No, the judgment fell on Israel. The judgment -- now look at the di- -- that is a good point. Look at the difference between the judgment that fell on Elijah and the judgment that fell on Israel. The judgment that fell on Elijah, who was Christ, is that he fell back down into his carnal mind. That is judgment enough. That was the full extent of the judgment that was visited upon Elijah. He had this bad, painful experience of being overtaken and falling down into his carnal mind and having to cry out to God and confess his sins and be raised up again. But Israel, under the old covenant, was not raised up again. Israel was turned over to a heathen army and to civil war -- Jehu conspired against Joram, civil war -- and to spiritual judgment.
Now Elijah is a type of the new covenant believer. Therefore we have every reason to believe that if we are doing everything we can in Christ and we are overtaken, all we have to do is cry out. Well, it is -- I am saying, all we have to do; it is not easy because your pride is in the way. But you have to confess your sins -- cry out to God, confess your sins, and He is going to raise you back up again. Elijah is the new covenant -- a type of the new covenant believer who is sold out to God.
But the Sons of God, in this account that we saw in 1 Kings 18, they are a type of the carnal or the professing church, who are trying to kill the Christ that is coming forth in the few faithful believers. Now before you shut off the message, the Lord Jehovah said that out of the professing church, He had 7,000 faithful. So there are faithful believers in whom the mind of Christ is not being formed. They are in the carnal or the professing church, and God said, spare them.
Now the number 7,000 is just a round number, but by and large, according to this account, the professing church is guilty of using their carnal mind to kill the believers who, in Christ, are showing them their sins. And I suggest to you that there are people in this company, in the professing church, who will lose their anointing. They are not going to be physically killed. I do not believe they will be physically killed as in the old covenant, but they will lose what they have. And that is a scriptural principle. When you receive your talent of silver, if you do not use it properly, you can lose it. And I believe that there are going to be thousands in the professing church who will lose their relationship with the Lord.
But there is definitely a company in the professing church in whom Christ -- to whom the seed is not engrafted. Christ is not being formed in them. They will be protected because of their faith towards God. This group is typified -- these two groups are typifie- -- or it is a group within a group -- is typified by the Sons of God that we read about in 1 Kings 18.
Elijah typifies the believer in whom Christ is being formed that is fighting the war. If you are cast down, cry out, and God will raise you up again. But we though -- we who are the Sons of God who are not in full stature, we who are in this new covenant relationship with the Lord must also be aware that an element of the Sons of God that we read about in chapter 18 can be present in us.
So we have to examine ourselves and put ourselves before the Lord and ask Him if -- is there anything in us that can relate to the Sons of God as described in chapter 18? And if that is true, help me Lord. I pray it every day: Lord help me. Show me my sins that I do not die. [?Rita?] has a so- -- is that [?June’s?] song? Or is that Rit- -- I think it is [?June’s?] song. Show me my sins lest I die.
So we see a company of faithful believers amongst the professing church that will not be destroyed. And we see that it is possible for someone to be a Son of God in the making, who can have an element of a carnal mind that is trying to kill the Christ wherever He is appearing in them. So get it before God, and get yourself straight. Get yourself straight. Get straightened out. Open yourself to God, and go forward. And be all that you can be in Christ.

I always thought the definition of the Son of God was someone who had Christ being formed in them.
No, no. Many people have Christ being formed in them but are not doing what He is saying. And they say, Lord, Lord, but they do not do what I say. A Son of God is the one who follows after Christ. You have to be obedient to Christ to be a son. Obviously you cannot be obedient to Christ if He is not being formed in you, but the fact that He is being formed in you does not make you a son.
What is the matter? You have to do what He says. You may be a son functionally. You may have -- it is just like saying a man is a male. A little boy is a male. But if you are not using that male organ, you are not a man. Being a male is not a man. So to have the Son of God being formed in you will make you a male, but to be a man, you have to be walking in it. You may have heard me say something like that, so the Lord just clarified it for you. Once the seed engrafts, you become male, but you are not a man until you start acting like a man.
In the 7,000 that did not bow the knee, is that symbolic of the five unwise virgins?
I cannot answer questions like this in a service like this because I have to think about them. Something like that, I have to take time to think about.
It just seems like there is a correlation.
OK, well, if you ask me -- you know, ask me when you are here for the day, and I will think about it, but I cannot do it on the spot now.

I had always thought of the fiery arrows as something coming from Satan to wound us.
Satan has fiery arrows. You have to read the context of the verse to find out whose arrows they are. Fire typifies spirit, a spiritual weapon. Satan has fiery arrows, but so does the Lord. And I think that we clarified that. We have a whole s- -- was it a whole series? Maybe not. Maybe it was just one message, called “Arrows.” The name of the message is “Arrows,” and we go into that on that message. Do you recall when we did that message? Yeah.
When you were speaking about those fiery arrows coming from the Father to penetrate us to bring forth Christ, [UNINTELLIGIBLE] that Scripture about a man has -- his quiver is full of arrows. Is that how it goes?
Yeah, and he is blessed, yeah.
I always thought the Christ had to be matured in us in order for us to function.
Oh, no.

No, He -- from the second that He is engrafted, He begins to manifest. But He may be reaching out to bring us into obedience but not succeed until He gains some maturity. But the way -- the sign that Christ is engrafted and reaching out to bring us into obedience is that we come under judgment. We come under heavy judgment. Things start going wrong in our life. And that usually brings most people to their -- at least to their spiritual needs. You do not have to be in your physical needs. That will cause the believer to say, Lord, what is wrong in my life? Why can I not take the victory over Satan? And then eventually you get the word that it is not Satan, that it is the Lord.
And if you are the horse of the Lord -- Israel is the goodly horse of the Lord -- and He is whipping you with His crop, it is not Satan. It is the Lord saying, I want you to go to the right. And you keep going to the left.
So technically speaking Christ begins to execute judgment from the moment of His conception, but you may not feel it right away, or you may not be aware of it right away. And then of course, as He matures, your experiences become more intense. But in this instance, Christ cannot be likened to a human fetus, which is dependent and totally weak. From the moment Christ engrafts, there is power in it, and then that power begins to grow in wisdom and in grace and in truth.
Anybody else? You see, when the seed is engrafted to you, it is really -- when the -- I may have to change my terminology here a little bit. Even though I am saying the seed is engrafted, it is not the same -- well, we are having a contradiction with the terminology that I used. There is going to have to be a change here.
Listen, I have been saying: Grow up from seed. We have used that -- for a whole year, we are using that expression, and now the Lord is emphasizing that we are cuttings, that we are engrafted in. So I see that the correct expression should be that because of the imparted anointing, we are growing up from a graft.
Do you hear what I am saying? I cannot say that we are growing up from seed. There is a big difference between a -- we all have -- we are all -- have gardened here at some time. There is a big difference between growing up from seed and from a grafted cutting of a plant. Yet the reason I use that expression, growing up from seed, was that I was comparing the imputed anointing to the imparted anointing. And the imparted anointing, you get it, and it stays the same in you. And it does not grow up. It does not increase. But apparently it is not correct to say, to grow from seed. The correct term is to grow from the point that it is engrafted, it increased. Did I make that clear? Did I make the --
I have to talk to the Lord about exactly how I am going to start expressing that now. So the point that I am trying to make to you right now is that at least one of the reasons that Christ has power from the moment He engrafts is that He is really not a seed in you. He is a cutting, and He is already a plant. He is already there. You have been engrafted into a -- the vine that has been manifesting for 2,000 years already. And there is power in Him from the moment He engrafts.
I was thinking in my mind that when we receive the Holy Spirit that we receive the seed that had to be fertilized. That is not true of us. That is only true of [?Jews?]?
Well, I am going to have to pray this through now. Because the Bible says that the word is the seed, but of course that is in parable form now. We are told that the word is the seed, but that is when these principles are in parable form. Yet we are told in another place that we are being grafted into the tree.
So the only thing I have for you now is that the word does say the word is the seed, but that is God’s way of expressing it in parable form. The reality is that we are a cutting and that from the second that cutting is engrafted, we are much more mature than a seed that is in the ground that has not even sprouted yet.
A cutting is already above the ground, right? You know what a cutting is do you not? A seed goes under the ground. You have to wait for it to even sprout and put -- and to put down its little, fragile roots. But a cutting is grafted into a vine that has deep roots in the earth and is already appearing above the earth.
So, you see, this second generation of Christ is coming up much faster than the Lord Jesus Christ came up. He was the only one that truly started from seed. He was the only one actually sired by the seed of God. Yet the word of God says that He is -- that the word of God is the seed. So that is the only answer I have for you right now is that that is how it is expressed in parable form.
But the word of God is Jesus, and He is the seed.
Well, He is the seed, but when He hits our human spirit, He is not a seed; He is a cutting. So there seems to be something missing there. I will pray about it, and I will see what I get. OK, I have not changed anything that I have been teaching here. It just is -- it is just the way we are expressing it.
So now we really cannot speak of the Holy Spirit sending sperm.
But that is what the Scripture says: that the seed is the sperma of God. So we have a contradiction here, and I am going to have to find -- pray about it and find out how to reconcile what this contradiction -- I do not think it is a serious contradiction, but it is a contradiction. So the two scriptural co- -- statements have to be reconciled. We will find out what the answer is. As soon as the Lord tells me, I will tell you. Hallelujah.
