Yea saith the Lord, indeed, for many a season I have sought a man that would yield to my Spirit. Yea, I have moved through my church, saith the Lord God, and I have heard many say praise the Lord, and I have heard many say, give your life to the Lord. I have seen many give out tracts, but I have not found a man that would lay down his soul life and let me manifest freely through him. Yea I have seen those that would permit me to speak through them.
Yea they would prophesy, and they would speak in tongues, and they would give words of knowledge and wisdom, but I have not found a man that would lay down his soul life from A to Z and let me live through him, saith the Lord. But I declare unto thee that I have at long last found that man, saith God. Yea, I have found that man. I have found a few faithful in the earth, saith the Lord, and indeed, I am, and I shall manifest saith the Lord God, and my word of light shall come forth, and my Spirit shall come forth, and my purposes shall be accomplished saith the Lord. Fear not, for indeed, thy enemy shall be smitten before thee, saith the Lord God. Thou needest not even raise it up in prayer unto me, for I have gone before thee as a man of war saith the Lord, and I have fought for thee, and I shall fight for thee, and there is not a power, or a principality, or a high imagination that shall oppose thee saith the Lord, successfully.
For I shall fight for Israel, saith God, and I shall defeat thy enemy, saith the Lord. I shall cast them to the ground, and tread them underfoot, saith the Lord God, and I shall tear down their false doctrine, and I shall strip them of their power, and I shall expose all of the false Christs for what they are, saith the Lord. The innocent in the church shall moan and they shall groan, for indeed great fear shall be upon them when I have smitten their leaders, saith the living God, but this I shall do that my people, Israel, might be delivered, saith the Lord. My Christ shall appear and all of those innocents, they shall flock unto the light saith the Lord, and indeed, my purposes shall be accomplished. Glory to God.
Main Message
This is the first part of our series entitled, The Four Horsemen, and we are dealing with Chapter 6 of the Book of Revelation. This is the first four seals, I believe, of the four horses of the Book of Revelation. We are going to start by recapping our Alternate Translations from last week.
Revelation 4, verses 9 thru 11 and Revelation 5 verses 1 thru 14, Alternate Translation:
When those living creatures express their estimation of the value and worth of the creation through their minds, and when they shall submit themselves in every thought, word, and deed, to Almighty God, the sons of God shall cause their souls to birth the Christ, because Jesus Christ of Nazareth brought his soul into submission to the Spirit of Holiness.
And because their souls birth the Christ, the sons of God shall have continual communion with him, who shall live throughout all ages, and they laid hold of and cast forth their spiritual life into the soul life of Christ saying, You are deserving, O ruler of the universe to have your greatness acknowledged, to be reverenced, and to have miracle working power because you have created all things, which things were created for your specific purposes and will.
And I saw the glorified man sitting on his redeemed Adamic soul, and possessing, and giving gifts, and blessings to the pitiable contemptible unredeemed members of the living soul which express the existence of Satan in their personalities, and also in their behavior.
And each of them were marked with the mark of God, the promise of full redemption, even the appearance of Christ in them.
I saw a mature believer, who had birth the Christ, preaching with a loud voice about the one who was qualified to make the living soul responsive, operative, and ready to fulfill the purposes for which she was created, and who was able to fulfill the promise of the Holy Spirit, that she would express the image of God, and receive eternal life. And nothing in the spiritual realm of the soul nor in the realm of appearance, neither in the satanic realm of the unconscious mind, was able to make the living soul operative and able to fulfill her purpose, even to produce an incorruptible soul and body, nor was there anything or anyone able to understand the mystery of how this was to be accomplished.
And I wailed out loud for the masses of mankind because no one was found qualified to enable the living soul to produce an incorruptible soul and body, even though the one who was qualified to do so was being preached about. Nor was anyone found who could acknowledge that the members of the living soul had lived in the realm of God’s Spirit before they entered into the earth. Neither was there anyone who understood the mystery of how incorruptibility and eternal life would be bestowed upon them.
And one of the spiritually mature men said to me, Do not worry, look, the Spirit of God manifested in the flesh, even Christ, the spiritual substance which dwells in David, has overcome the military power of the living soul, rendered it relatively unguarded and made it accessible to bring forth Christ, thus making the promise that Christ shall appear in all men available to the many members of the living soul.
And I looked, and I saw in the middle of the soul that the glorified man was sitting upon, and of the men raised to a higher spiritual power, and in the middle of the mature spiritual men, in whom the fullness of God’s government was operating, I saw a Lamb which appeared to have been sacrificed, stand up in spiritual power with the fullness of spiritual strength, having been restored to him, and the fullness of both the imputed and the imparted anointing sent forth by God into the earth of mankind, even Christ flowing in and through him.
And the firstfruits of the land, the offspring of Jesus Christ, even Christ Jesus, the 42nd generation, came and took the contemptible many membered soul out of the protective and blessing hands of the glorified Jesus Christ, who sat upon his redeemed soul, and the sons of God were manifested in the realm of appearance. And they prepared to execute the judgments which are designed to bring forth Christ in the many members of the living soul.
And when Christ Jesus was given authority to manifest in the realm of appearance, the living creatures who have been raised to a higher spiritual power and the sons of God were fully born again into the soul life of Christ, and each and every one of them had a natural man as part of their spiritual being, whose evil nature had been covered over by Christ, leaving only the shell of the natural man, even the spiritual skeleton which gives form to the body and personality, and they also had souls covered over with the deity of Jesus Christ, which were filled with the spiritual life of God.
And they have ascended to a high spiritual state of being because they sacrificed their soul lives unto God. And their structure, arrangement and relationship to one another produced tranquility, an inner calm and an interweaving in the correct moral order, so that when they spoke their thoughts and words were so much in harmony that they sounded like a single melodious song.
This is what they said. You are suitable to possess the living soul, and to make it accessible to fertilization by your glorified life despite the protective hedge Satan has around it, because you gave up your deity and all the privileges associated with it, and were broken into pieces so that we could have life. When the Father rebirth you back into the eternal realm of the Spirit, you gave up your sinless soul life as Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of God.
You submitted to crucifixion so that the Father could resurrect you, glorify you, and break your sinless soul life in pieces by pouring it out upon the rest of the members of the living soul, fertilizing them and reproducing Christ in each of them, so that they too could be raised back up to the eternal realm of the Spirit, out of every physical race and out of those believing each of the many doctrines contrived by man, and out of all those who know you, and out of all those who have never known you.
And you have brought us into a new relationship with our God as kings, because we shall rule the earth of the soul and body by his Spirit, and as priests, because by his Spirit, we shall be the man Christ Jesus, the only mediator between God and the living soul. And by his authority, we shall rule in the realm of appearance.
I looked, and I heard the voice of many spiritual men around the glorified soul of Jesus Christ, and the living creatures and the sons of God, and the spiritual condition of an innumerable spiritual man joined to the innumerable perfected souls that have obtained to complete salvation is expressed mathematically as ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands, saying with the voice of spiritual authority they had received because their minds were woven together with God, Suitable is the whole living soul to lay hold of miracle working power, and being raised up to the full stature of Christ, and the ability to have all their needs met, and to put their souls underfoot and keep them there, and to be reverenced, and to have its greatness acknowledged, and to speak the life of Christ into the realm of appearance, and every natural man which can be seen in the realm of appearance by his personality, his body, and the behavior which results from his unconscious mind, and the fertile soil of the sons of God, which exercise authority over the spiritual realm of the living soul, and every manifestation of Satan that is within them.
I heard them saying, May the ability to speak life into the realm of appearance and the right to be reverenced, and to have his greatness acknowledged, be granted to the glorified Christ who has brought his own soul into submission by the Spirit of Holiness, and also unto the living soul for the life of the ages.
And the living creatures who were squared in their spirit said, So be it, and the sons of God laid hold of and cast forth their spiritual life into the soul life of Christ, and entered into a spiritual condition of continual communion with the glorified Christ, who lives by the righteousness of God for the life of the ages. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
We are moving on to Chapter 6 which pretty much is a totally different subject, so I will open the floor to questions right now, if you have anything you would like me to go over or clarify from Chapters 4 and 5 or basically what I just read. I would be glad to do it right now before I move on.
COMMENT: It really helped me to understand going back to Message #18. After this teaching I understand the message better too.
PASTOR VITALE: Praise God. I know the Lord just happened to have me reviewing those messages at this time. Everything is tied into everything else. You may recall that when we first started with the Book of Revelation, the word to this ministry was that He had taught us by all the previous 18 major messages, #18 and #31 and #32, Babylon Is Fallen and Mystery Babylon, and that He had completed a series of Basic Principles. If we had not had that understanding, there is no way we really could understand the Book of Revelation. I see that it is really true because the Book of Revelation is a symbolic book depicting all of these basic profound spiritual scriptural principals. There is no way we could understand these symbols if you do not have an accurate knowledge of the things of God, which is almost impossible to find in the Church world today.
We are going to start with Chapter 6, verse 1: And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
We are dealing with the word open. I saw when the Lamb opened. I am just reminding you from prior message teachings about the word open. First of all, the Greek word open is Strong’s #455 and it is from a root that means to open a piece at a time. I remind you that the temple is being opened, the seals are being opened, the living soul is being opened, a member at a time.
Not only is the Rapture an erroneous teaching, but the principal in the Rapture that says that Jesus is coming and sweeping everybody away in one moment is an erroneous teaching. The Church has never been that way. It has always been piecemeal; people receiving knowledge of Christ, people receiving the Holy Spirit, and the new move of God in piecemeal. God is dealing with each member of the living soul individually in just about every area.
Even when we gather in groups for group ministry, that group ministry is individual. If you are in a ministry where the living Christ is ruling, and that does not mean there is no elder or no man that is standing up. We are talking about the living Christ ruling. I know there is a lot of talk about body ministry, but there is only body ministry when the living Christ calls for body ministry.
I believe in body ministry. I know that I have told you this before, that if the day comes that we walk in here and God raises somebody else up to preach, and He witnesses to me in my heart, you have got the microphone. We have been here for a year now, and there really has not been much body ministry. There has been a little bit, but by and large, the ministry is teaching. The move of Christ in this ministry is largely, ninety percent one person, but that does not mean next year, or next week, or next month it is not going to change. There are a lot of Christians today that I have heard say things that sound like the up and coming move of the Lord is body ministry, and if you do not have body ministry in your gathering, you are not at the latest move of God. Well, that is not true, brethren, because the latest move of God is whatever the mind of Christ wants to do in you, and in me, in any given particular moment, and you cannot put Him in a box. You just cannot put Him in a box.
If tomorrow we had a person come in here that needed to hear about the Holy Spirit, the Lord is perfectly capable of cancelling my entire message, that I studied seven hours for, and having me teach on the Holy Spirit. We saw Him do it a couple of weeks ago with regard to a small member of the congregation. He cancelled the whole message to minister to one person for a whole hour, and He changed the whole message. The move of God of the hour is what Christ in you wants to do in that moment. It is not what Joe Blow down the street tells you the move of God is in that hour. There is an overall move of the hour, but the most primary thing to every believer should be what the mind of God, in your vessel, wants you to do at any given moment because the Lord is doing many things at this moment across the world.
He is still drawing people into the thirty-fold. He is still drawing people into the sixty-fold. He still has deliverance ministries across the face of the earth that do nothing but deliverance. He still has sonship ministries that do nothing but sonship. He still has reconciliation ministries that preach only the good part of the Bible. They do not tell you any bad thing that is going to happen to you. They just preach the love and the glory of God because there are people that need that. The balance is across the church world. It is not in any one ministry.
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals. So Webster's Dictionary says the word open, I remind you, is to make accessible to the influx of new factors. The new factor that the living soul was being exposed to in this hour is Christ. He is the new factor. When the living soul comes in contact with the living Christ, the living soul is going to change. Christ is not going to change. There are hedges up around the living soul, and those hedges are up by the spirit that dwells in her. His name is Satan, and he does not want her to be made accessible to the Christ, because he knows that when she is made accessible to the Christ, he is going to be deposed. He has already been deposed because judgment has been executed against him, but it has to be affected. When the Ayatollah executed the judgment of death against a certain man, he is still alive because no man has gotten close enough to him to execute the judgment to kill him. Yes, Jesus Christ has been given all power and authority in the heavenlies, but Satan is still alive and well. He has not yet been destroyed. It is just a matter of time, because the legal action against him has been affected.
I touched on this once before when we first did Revelation, Chapter 5:5. I will read it to you. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
I gave you a whole teaching on who sealed us, how we were sealed, and why we are sealed. The answer to every one of those questions was the Lord Jesus Christ. Everything that I told you was true, but I had it a little bit out of context. I did tell you in one of the subsequent messages that the Lord told me that it was Satan that had the seals on the living soul, but I really did not explain it. I want to explain it to you and get it on this message.
This is what happened. First of all I did not realize that in verse 1 of chapter 5, it says there was a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. I just assumed that the word sealed and the word seals was the same Greek word, and it is not. The word sealed is Strong’s #2696 and it means to seal up closely, to lock up. I had to go into the Old Testament for a witness to show you what the implication in that really is.
Jeremiah, Chapter 32 verses 9 thru 14. This is the prophet Jeremiah speaking now. And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle’s son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver. And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances. What we are seeing here is that a piece of property was sold, and to make that sale legal, it was sealed. So a seal is a sign of something being sold. You might notice that the price is in the form of silver, which we know is a type of redemption. It is a type of redemption and it is a type of betrayal. Jesus was sold for 30 pieces of silver. It is also the type of what is being used when Jesus Christ is purchasing us back.
Verse 11. So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed. Being sealed is the evidence of a purchase, according to the law and custom, and that which was open. There had to be two evidences to the purchase. One was the seal and one, I think, was an open witness. I am not sure about that.
Verse 12, second half. In the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase. There were two people that had to write out that they saw that this purchase was legitimate, and that the man received his money, because they did not have checks in those days. I skipped verse 13.
Verse 14. Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, which is sealed, and this evidence which is open. So there were two signatures that were the open evidence, and the seal was the closed evidence. I am suggesting to you that this sealing was when God sold the living soul unto Satan, when He removed himself from the living soul, knowing full well what would happen, but doing it because He wanted His creation to come into its fullness, to multiply and to go forward and receive bodies, that His entire plan should be fulfilled. God turned over His creation to Satan, knowing exactly what would happen, and that the seal is the sign of Satan’s ownership. You may recall our teaching on redemption. The meaning of the word redemption is to purchase.
Now let me remind you that according to the Old Testament law, this is what happened if you had to sell a piece of land because you could not pay your bills, or for whatever your reason, you were forced to sell a piece of land that had been on your family line. In those days the land was passed from father to son. Nobody sold their land unless there was a tragedy. I cannot go into the whole teaching now. If you were forced to do this, in the year of Jubilee, which was the seven times seven, I believe it was every forty-nine or fifty years, there was a year of Jubilee. It was the time of restoration of all things. Anyone that was a relative of the person that sold the land, the oldest most senior relative, if he had the money to buy the land back, he could go to the person that had purchased the land, and they had to sell it to him. They had to give him his land back if he could afford to pay for it because land is something that stayed on the family line. At least in those days that was the acknowledgment.
You may recall when the Hebrew children came out of Egypt and came into the Promised Land, they were given land by lot according to their tribe. It was the intention of God that the land should stay in the family line. So this whole implication in Jeremiah 32 was that a sealing is one of the two signs that land was sold. I am suggesting to you that the land of the living soul was sold to Satan so that Satan could perform his job. The living soul needed to be multiplied and bodies needed to be developed for the members of the living soul. God gave all power and authority over the living soul over to Satan for this period of time. Indeed, the Scripture tells us he is the prince and the power of the air. He is the ruler and the prince of darkness. He is the complete ruler of this realm that we live in, except for those that are in Christ Jesus. This was, of course, up until two thousand years ago when all power and authority was given over to Jesus Christ. Now Satan has lost his legal authority, but he still has possession. He still has possession.
I remember when Israel was in the process of getting a mandate from Britain to become a legal state in the Middle East after World War II, Britain said that the state of Israel existed, and as soon as Britain pulled out, the Arabs went to war with Israel. They did not care what the law said. They were not turning that land over. Well, that is what we are going through now, for all of these billions of years, God only knows, because one day is as a thousand years to the Lord. So we know that this earth and mankind has been around for more than six thousand years. Satan has had legal authority over the living soul. He no longer has legal authority, but he is still exercising authority. Those of us that are moving on in Christ know what a vicious warfare we are involved in to join with Christ as he takes our soul back. Satan is not giving this up easily.
The implication of the living soul being sealed is that she was sold. She was sold, and she was sold unto Satan. The implication of someone being worthy to loose the seals is that someone has to be worthy or have the price to buy back the land in the year of Jubilee. The year of Jubilee is the year of Jesus Christ. It is the age of Jesus Christ. It is the New Age that is coming. The price that Jesus is paying for us, as we have been taught, is His own life. Somebody had to be worthy to buy back the living soul and give them life. I will just put this on the message briefly. You may recall that we have had a teaching here that Jesus Christ is the ransom, and that it is His life that is buying us back. This is not his human blood that poured out at Calvary on the dust. We are talking about His spiritual life that ascended to the Father, His glorified life, that by the Spirit of Holiness, by His holy soul, raised His body from the dead.
He went back to the realm of the Spirit, and in this hour, He is pouring out of his Spirit upon all flesh, joining Himself to the many members of the living soul. That is the price that He is paying to get us back. It is not the red human blood that poured out on the dirt at Calvary. It is blood that exists in the realm of the Spirit. His life is in his resurrected blood. It is not the human blood that was poured out, but in his resurrected blood.
At the drawing board now. We did it with a sword. I never did find out what the correct word for that was, but we did it with a pipe when we studied this a couple of weeks ago. We said that this is the Father over here, and no man can see the Father and live, so if natural man would come in contact with the Father, he would burn up.
At the drawing board: This is natural man over here. He is dying, and the only way he is going to live is to get the life of the Father. He cannot get to the Father because if he comes in contact with the Father he is going to burn up and die. So the Father devised a plan, you see, and He made His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is man and the Son of God. He is this in-between piece. He is this in-between piece, and He joins natural man to the Father. He is Christ. So the purchased price, that someone had to be suitable to pay, was a sinless soul life that would connect natural man to the Father so that natural man could live.
The Scripture talks about silver, brethren, but the price that is paid for a soul is not money. Silver typifies redemption, and the price that Jesus Christ has paid is that He is nailed to us for the life of the ages. In the hour, and it will never happen, but in the hour should He decide to remove Himself from us, we would die, because life is in the Son, and it is in none other but the Son, and the Father is in the Son. If we are joined to the Son, we are joined to the Father. The price that He paid, the person that was suitable to purchase us back has to be able to connect us to the Father. The Father will not be in contact with anything that is not holy. So His Son connects us to the Father. It is not his blood laying on the dirt on the other side of the world. It is His resurrected life that is pouring out from the heavenly realm of God’s Spirit is this hour, joining Himself to your soul life, that is saving your soul.
The person that is worthy to open the seals had to be the kinsman redeemer, he who is both related to God and related to man, that could reconnect man to God. That person, the only person in all the universe that is suitable to do that is the Lord Jesus Christ, and those people in whom He is appearing, because if He is appearing in you, you are him. I am not talking about speaking in tongues. He is appearing in you in word and in thought and in deed. He is indeed fertilizing the spirits of other human beings so that He can come forth in you also. Did I make that clear? Did everybody understand that?
This concept of the living soul being sealed means is that she was sold. She was sold. The concept of breaking the seals is the concept of her being repurchased back. The person that has her is not willing to turn her over, even though it is the year of Jubilee, and the relative is there with the price, His sinless soul life. He says, I am here, and the law says you have to give her back to me. Satan said, No way. The most vicious warfare known to humankind is in process right now. If you think World War II was bad, brethren, if you think Vietnam was bad, brethren, you do not have a revelation of the viciousness of the warfare that is going on inside of the minds and hearts of men and women that have been apprehended by the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
Just for your information, I have told you that the word sealed is the different Greek word than to be sealed with, than having seven seals. The word for seven seals, which is the noun, is Strong’s #4973 and that means a fencing or a protection. The living soul was sealed up, Strong’s # 2696. It was sealed up closely so that you could not get at it with seven seals, Strong’s #4973, with seven seals or the fullness of protection and fencing, which authority over was given unto Satan. The seal, of course, was the evidence of Satan’s purchase.
I just want to put this on this message. What I had on the earlier messages was a little teaching about whom sealed us and why did He seal us, and all of that. That is what is happening now. We were sealed when we were sold and Satan purchased us. Now we are being sealed again when we are being purchased back by the Lord Jesus Christ. We are receiving another set of seals which is proving that the Lord Jesus Christ has ownership of us. I will just go over that briefly. Who sealed us? 2 Corinthians 1:21-22. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. So there is a second purchase going on. This time we are being purchased and sold over to the Lord Jesus Christ, and he is sent by God, and we are sealed by the earnest of his Spirit in our hearts.
What did he seal us with? Ephesians 1:12-13. That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. Why were we sealed? Ephesians 4:30. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit is the promise of complete redemption, of complete repurchase back into the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ, and every glory and blessing that is associated with that.
I would just like to put a comment on here. I think everybody here knows this, but I want to put it on the message. There is a lot of hysteria in the Church world today about the mark of the beast. Somebody just told me something recently. It was somebody that I really thought would have known differently, but apparently, they did not. They still believed that the mark of the beast is a physical mark. They actually told me that people had been found with the mark under their skin already. Brethren, this is ridiculous. I do not mean to hurt anybody’s feelings, but the Scripture clearly tells us that in the last day we are going to be tempted to believe fables, fairy stories, children’s stories. Brethren, this is ridiculous. There is no mark on your forehead or on your hand. The forehead indicates your mind and the hand indicates your behavior. Either you have the mark of the beast, which is the natural man, or you have the mark of Christ, which is His life in you.
Now I have heard it preached that the mark of Christ is the Holy Spirit. I used to believe that, but I do not believe it anymore because you are not saved by the Holy Spirit. The mark of God, brethren, is Christ. It is not the Holy Spirit. It is Christ. You have got to birth the Son, and when he appears in your mind, it is going to displace the mark of the beast. You cannot jump around, and dance and sing, and then go live after the life of Satan. The concept of the mark on your forehead is your thought processes. The concept of the mark on your hand is your behavior. So you can dance, and sing, and talk in tongues, and prophesy, and cast out demons. But if you walk out of the Church and you hate your brother, and the thoughts coming forth from your mind, ninety nine percent of the time when you are not in church, is the carnal minds, which is ruled by Satan, you have the mark of the beast. Satan’s mind is the mark of the beast. The mind of Christ is the mark of God. My goodness, I cannot believe that man said that to me. I bless him, Lord. I was just absolutely shocked. I could not believe it. Let us go on.
We are in Chapter 6 of the Book of Revelation. We are still in verse 1. And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
The word noise is Strong’s #5456 and it is the same word translated voice in Revelation, Chapter 5:12. We studied that in one or two messages ago. We said that it had nothing to do with language or with speech. It had to do with a disclosure. You can impart your thoughts simply by a look to a child or another human being. In the realm of the Spirit, we know that the mind of God is imparted to us spiritually. This phrase, the noise of thunder, is a disclosure of some kind of knowledge that is described as thunder. We are going to find out what that means.
The word thunder is Strong’s #1027 and it really means thunder. I went back into the Hebrew and it is Strong’s #7481 and it means to tumble, to toss around, to be violently agitated, to rage or to roar. We are told in Strong’s that the word thunder is closely related to the word roar, as in the roar of a lion. The second half of Job 26:14 is speaking about the Lord. But the thunder of his power, who can understand it? We find that the word thunder is used to describe the mighty power of God in the Book of Job..
I just want to point out here another Scripture to show you that thunder is associated in the Scripture with the roar of a lion. Job 37:4: After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency. That is speaking of the Lord, of course. The word roareth is the same Hebrew word as thundereth. After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency.
This word roar is used in the Scripture to describe fierce soldiers. Psalm 74:4: Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations. It is a threatening sound. It is not a negative sound. It is a sound that goes forth and it has power with it. Webster Dictionary says that the word roar means to utter or emit a full loud prolong sound with full force, and it could be either of anger or of laughter. I remind you that the Lord Jesus Christ has told us He shall laugh at his enemies. So it is an aggressive word, and it is a victorious word. Webster says the word thunder means the sound that follows a flash of lightning. It is caused by the sudden expansion of the air in the path of the electrical discharge.
You may recall that when we studied lightning several weeks ago in our study in Chapter 1 of the Book of Ezekiel, our definition of lightning was the flashing of light produced by a discharge of atmospheric electricity from one cloud to another, or from one cloud to the earth, or the actual discharge itself. One cloud to another, meaning a spiritual communication between two spiritual entities, or from a cloud to the earth. It could be a spiritual communication from a spiritual man to a soul man, or it could be a spiritual communication within one being, from the Christ within you to your own soul, from cloud to cloud or from cloud to earth. We know that one of the things that the Lord is emphasizing in this ministry is that the healing that takes place by the power of God takes place as a result of an application of the energy of Almighty God.
There are some mature ministries that are teaching that you no longer need hands laid upon you because Christ is within you, and that energy source can come forth and heal your own soul. The teaching in this ministry, brethren, is how can you stand up in front of a ministry, and tell everybody that is sitting under you is in that place? Maybe somebody needs healing and the Christ in them is not mature enough to do that. Maybe they have a mature Christ, and they are so afflicted that He is still overcome. Maybe there are such heavy curses or such opposition coming against the soul of that person that He cannot rise up in the power of the Christ within them. I consider myself very mature, and I ask for prayer all the time. I need the power that God has imparted to you to join with the power that God has imparted to me. If I am sick, and I pray for myself and I get better, that is fine. But if I do not, I believe that I would not want to hear it preached to me that nobody can lay hands on me, or to hear a message preached that would make me ashamed to ask for prayer because I am too mature to ask for prayer. That is an error, brethren.
If you want to be big and brave, and you want to pray for yourself for your own problems, that is fine, but maybe there is someone sitting under you that just needs a little touch from somebody else. Maybe you are strong enough to pray yourself out of it, but maybe you need to know that a human being cares enough to touch you. We believe in this ministry that to make no prayer line available is a very great error. What if someone walks in off the street? Where is the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ to them? How can you assume that everybody is strong enough to heal themselves in everything? I just believe it is an error in the church. It is a lack of the mercy of God. Hallelujah.
We recall that lightning is energy that passes from one spiritual being to another or from a spiritual man to a soul man. Now we are being told that thunder is the sound that is made when the air or the spirit is increased because of the power of God that is discharged from one spiritual entity to another. That’s what it said. It is the sound that follows a flash of lightning and it is caused by the sudden expansion of the air in the path of the electrical discharge. So let us spiritualize this. If I need help and you pray for me, and a bolt of lightning is emitted forth from your spirit, from the Spirit of Christ in you, and it goes to my spirit and strengthens my spirit, my spirit has increased and increased. The thunder is the increase that comes to me after the power of God has been released towards me.
I am going to say it again. The spiritualized concept of thunder in the realm of the Spirit is the increase that I receive in my spirit after the power of God has been imparted to me. It is typified in the Scripture as it happens. It is identified with a loud noise. In other words, it is going to be obvious that it has happened. Something is going to happen when my spirit is increased. It is going to be obvious. The typical example we have is that a loud noise is going to be made, but maybe I am going to get a healing. Maybe the loud noise is going to come from me as I jump up and down saying, Glory to God. When the power of God comes forth, it is followed by an increase in the Spirit, which is typified in some manner or other by a loud noise.
I just took Webster’s definition of the word expand here, to sort of support what I just said. I will read it to you. Expanding; to increase the extent, or scope of, or to enlarge. It means to express fully or in detail. It means to write fully in detail, and it may apply whether the increase comes from within or without. Whether the increase comes because you lay hands on me or whether the increase comes because Christ, within me, rises up in power. It is still called expansion. It can be manifested in any way such as growth. So if you lay hands on me and your spirit joins with my spirit, I could experience spiritual growth as a result of that. It can also manifest as an unfolding or an addition of parts. If you are a natural man and you do not have the Spirit of God, and I lay hands on you, and a bolt of spiritual lightning comes forth from me, and touches your spirit, you will have received an additional part to your spiritual being. You will have received Christ.
If you have the Holy Spirit and your human spirit has not yet been fertilized, and I lay hands on you, or maybe I am not laying hands on you, maybe I am just standing up here preaching, and my words are going forth in a spirit of truth. My words are Spirit and my words are life, and they join with the Holy Spirit in you, and give it an extra shot of power and wham, your human spirit is fertilized. Now something has unfolded in you. It has increased in you. You have more. This is the concept of thunder.
A lot of these Alternate Translations that I do, you really can see the original verse in it, but you are going to see it when I read you the Alternate Translation of verse 1 of Chapter 6. It is really profound. I hope that you will be able to see what I tell you. It is there, but you may have to even write out the Alternate Translation and just really look at it, if you feel it is necessary to convince yourself that what I am telling you in the Alternate Translation is really there. I will tell you what the Lord is saying in those few words is so much more than those few words. We will go on.
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. Now this word saying is Strong’s #3004 and there are several words that mean to say. This particular word means to relate in words, usually in a systematic discourse. They were not speaking casual talk. They were not making small talk. When the beast said, Come and see, they were not making small talk. They were speaking the oracles of God. What they really were doing was giving a command. Now I cannot prove this to you, but this is what God gave me in my heart, so you are going to have to pray about this because I cannot give you natural proof. I do not understand enough Greek grammar.
I know when I studied Spanish in high school, there was a tense that I cannot even remember the name of. There was one way that you could translate a word and the correct translation would be, let it be, let the man come, let him be blessed, let him be happy. Does everybody know what I am talking about? Let it come to pass, so be it. It is a particular tense that I cannot remember the name of. It is in every language. The Lord told me that this expression, Come and see, the last few words of verse 1 of Chapter 6 of Revelation, what the Lord is really saying there is, Let it come to pass and let it be seen. This is the wrong tense of the verb. Do you understand what I am saying?
In this Scripture it says, And the beast said, Come and see. It makes it sound like the beast is saying to John, Come and look at it, but that is not really what they are saying to him because at the beginning of verse 1, John said that I saw. I already saw it happening, so why should the beast say, Come and see? What I am suggesting to you is that word saying is the word that is used to describe preaching. It is the Greek word in Strong’s #3044 that is used to describe preaching. I am suggesting to you that what they said had authority. The word come is Strong’s #2064. It really means to appear. It really means to appear.
The word see is Strong’s #991 and it means to perceive or to be aware of. If I am losing you, just wave at me.
Back to the first few words in verse 1 of Chapter 6, And John said: And I saw when the Lamb open one of the seals. The last few words of the verse, Come and see.
Saw and see are two different Greek words. They are both translated to see, but they are two different Greek words. Now this Greek word at the end of the verse, Come and see, is Strong’s #991 and it means simple voluntary observation, just voluntary observation. I could say to you, Come and see, but if you do not say okay, you are not going to see it. I could say to you, Come in here and see the manifestations of Christ. If you do not get up and walk into this room, you are not going to see it. It is a voluntary saying. You have to agree with me and come and do it. It is an indication. That is what it is. Thank you, Lord.
Now the word saw at the beginning of the verse where John says, I saw, this is Strong’s #1402 and what it means is mechanical passive or casual vision. What that means is that the beast that was speaking to John already has his attention. It is as if I say to you, Come and see what is happening at Living Epistles Ministry, and then you get up on your feet and place yourself in this room. Now that you are sitting here, I have got you. Whatever happens in this room you are going to see it. You would have to willfully sit there, and close your eyes and clog your ears up, to not hear and see and get touched by what is happening in this room.
So the beast already had John’s attention because he was already watching this whole panorama. He was already in the Spirit and he was seeing everything that was happening. It was a casual involuntary thing. You are sitting here now. You are not actively doing something to see and hear me. You are here. How can you not hear me? How can you not see me unless you were actively doing something to not see me. So it is called a passive scene, where John says, I saw, and at the end of the verse, the beast says, Come and see. My whole point is they were not talking to John. They were not talking to John.
Let me read you my Alternate Translation. I want to tell you before I read it that I have changed the order of the phrases. It is going to sound very different.
I put I heard as it were the noise of thunder. I pretty much put that at the end. Like I said, if you do not want to take my word for it, you certainly do not have to. If you want to check it out, you are probably going to have to write down this verse because I switched everything around. But every phrase that is in there, I translated it with an Alternate Translation. I just put it together in a different order.
Alternate Translation of Revelation, Chapter 6, Verse 1. And since my attention was already turned towards the vision, as it passed before my eyes, I understood that when the sons of God began to release men from Satan’s control, the first command they spoke into the realm of appearance by their spiritual authority was, let the work of the Lord Jesus Christ appear in the many members of the living soul, and let men be aware of it, and understand it. And as they spoke it, it came to pass, and the sound of human spirits being expanded to the spiritual dimension of Christ was heard.
I want to take it a phrase at a time. And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and since my attention was already turned towards the vision, as it passed before my eyes. Now I skipped opening the seals there. I heard, I understood. Skip over one of the four beasts saying, that when the sons of God. I am saying that the four beasts are the living creatures that have been squared in their spirits, and I am calling them the sons of God. I heard, I understood, that when the sons of God began to open the seal. The Lamb opened one of the seals. That was when they began to release men from Satan’s control. This is what the opening of the seal is. They began to release men from Satan’s control.
One of them said, Come and see. It says here one of them, but I am translating it the first command they spoke into the realm of appearance by their spiritual authority was, let the work of the Lord Jesus Christ appear. Come and see, let it appear. Let the work of the Lord Jesus Christ appear in the many members of the living soul. That was come, let it come, let it appear. And they are saying, and see, and let men be aware of it, and understand it. Let them look at it and understand it, but they have to make that effort. They have to turn towards it. And as the living creature spoke it, it came to pass and the sound of human spirits being expanded to the spiritual dimension of Christ was heard.
The living creature said to the living soul, Here is the invitation. It is available to the masses. Just turn towards us, just turn towards God, and look at what He is going to show you, and you are living in the dispensation where you will be able to understand it, and partake of it, and have your human spirit fertilized. But you have to make one effort. You have to turn towards it. I am not going to come and throw it on you. You have to turn towards it, and if you turn towards it, this is the hour that you will understand it. I am going to read it one more time.
Verse 1 of Revelation, Chapter 6. And since my attention was already turned towards the vision, as it passed before my eyes, I understood that when the sons of God began to release men from Satan’s control, which is the opening of the seal, the first command they spoke into the realm of appearance by their spiritual authority was, let the work of the Lord Jesus Christ appear in the many members of the living soul, and let men be aware of it, and understand it. Understand what? The work of the Lord Jesus Christ. And as they spoke it, it came to pass, and the sound of human spirits being expanded to the spiritual dimension of Christ was heard. That is the thunder. The thunder is the sound of human spirits being expanded to the spiritual dimension of Christ.
Verse 2. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Now we are not going to do too much on verse 2 tonight because next week we are going to go into a study in the Book of Zechariah. I do not know how many of you are aware of it, but these next two verses talking about the four horses are based on an Old Testament Scripture in the Book of Zechariah, Chapter 6 verses 1 thru 8. I am going to read you those verses now, and then we are going to do a brief review on what horses mean in the Scripture. Starting next week we are going to be in Zechariah to review those verses for however long it takes us. I made a mistake and first said it was the Book of Ezekiel on the message.
Zechariah, Chapter 6, verses 1 thru 8. And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. In the first chariot there were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; and in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, what are these, my lord? And the angel answered and said unto me, these are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth. Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
I just want to take a few minutes before we close to review horses in the Scripture. Does anybody remember what horses represent in the Scripture? Right, it is the man that has been brought into total submission to the Lord. You may remember that the Scripture refers to unregenerate man as a beast, a man that does not have the root of Christ in him. God calls him a beast. The beast in the Book of Revelation is the natural man without the root of Christ, developed to his fullest negative potential, and all the wickedness associated with that. The next stage of the living soul, as he receives the root of Christ, the Scripture calls him sheep. Jesus says, My sheep hear my voice.
What that means is if you are incarnated with the root of Christ, and you come into a meeting like this, and you hear the word of God, my words are spirit and my words are life, and they are going to touch that root of Christ in you, and you are going to hear the voice of the Lord. Your spirit is going to respond. The third stage for mankind, as the Lord expresses us in the form of animals, is as horses. Now horses are beautiful animals, brethren. I do not know about you, but ever since I got this revelation, every time I see a horse in the movies or on TV, I just look at them. They are just beautiful animals. They are just so graceful and regal, and they are fearless. The Scripture tells us that horses are fearless. They go into battle without any fear.
First of all, when we have responded to the Lord, we are sheep, and when we have received His processings, and we have been broken to the point that He can ride on us, without us throwing Him, we are called a horse. We are called a horse when we are totally in submission to the living God. Now this is humbling. Some people might find it humiliating, but I remind you, brethren, that being the horse of the Lord is better than being the lord of your own life because you are not the lord of your own life. You just think you are. It is the mind of Satan in you that is the lord of your own life. You are Satan’s horse anyway. You just do not have the spiritual awareness of it. If you are not the Lord’s horse, you are Satan’s horse, brethren. We have said that the rider is God, the rider of the horse, if you are in submission to Him as God. The saddle or the chariot is your soul, and the horse is your body, glorified or otherwise, if it is in submission to the Lord. If your rider is not God, the Scripture says, and behold, I saw a pale horse and his rider was death.
Still at the drawing board: Your saddle or your chariot is also your soul, but over here your soul is in a condition of life. It is the soul of Christ. If God is your rider, your soul is Christ. If death is your rider, your saddle, or your chariot, it must be of Satan. The Scripture says his rider was death and hell followed afterwards. I would say that if God is not your rider, Satan is your rider. Your soul is death, and your horse is your vile body. Over here is if your body is not glorified.
I was having a conversation with someone tonight. Without a question of a doubt, when Christ appears in us fully, we will be delivered from every infirmity right down to pimples, to overweight, to problems with our teeth, everything. This body is going to completely reflect the soul that is within us.
At the drawing board: So this is the vile body, and if this is not the glorified body, it will at the very least, be a healthy body. Brethren, I saw something on TV last night. I am telling you this body is nothing more than a reflection of the soul that dwells in it. I know that we have talked about this here, and we have talked about multiple personalities. It is an established scientific fact that some people have multiple personalities. When one personality manifests that has diabetes, and they take tests, the body shows diabetes. In the very same body when another personality manifests two minutes later, they do the same test and there is no sign of diabetes in the body.
I saw a Matlock detective show on TV. There had been a murder, and there was this really timid little woman there. All of the signs showed that she did it. She was hysterical and crying, and it just seemed impossible that she could have committed the murder. Then Matlock discovered that she had a multiple personality. What was confusing the jury was that this hysterical woman had been sedated to the point where no human being could get up and walk around. The doctor testified to that, but apparently when the other personality manifested, this drug had no control over her body. Matlock stood up there, and he held up this book to the jury and said, this is a scientifically and medically proven fact concerning cases of multiple personalities. No matter how strong the drug is, when the personality that was not drugged rises up, the drug has no effect on that other personality manifesting in the same body.
This body is just a slave. It is a reflection of the soul that is in it. If you want a good measure as to what degree Christ has appeared in you, check out your body. I am telling you, brethren, I consider myself spiritual, but I am a lot sicker than I would like to be. I am a hundred percent better than I was one year ago when God raised up this ministry. I am a hundred percent better, but brethren, I am not where I want to be. You think you are spiritual. You think you are a manifested son of God. Check out your health. Check out your emotional problems. Some people are just naturally healthy. They were healthy when they came to the Lord.
If you were healthy when you came to the Lord, do not come to me and tell me that you are a son of God because you have not been sick in five years. Everybody has got some kind of a problem. If you were healthy when you came to the Lord, you have to have some kind of a bug in your head. There had to be something wrong with you when you came to the Lord. Your thinking had to be wrong in some ways. So if you did not have physical problems, check back to when you were saved, and look at your emotional problems, and look at your attitudes, and compare it to Jesus. Do not compare yourself to your brother, not to your pastor, not to your husband, not to your wife. Compare yourself to Jesus and tell me how far you are manifesting as a son of God.
I find that amazing that the body of that woman was heavily drugged, and the other personality rose up and there was no sign of the drug. Brethren, I am telling you that when Christ appears in you, you are going to have a perfect body. Every problem you had is just going to dissolve away when Christ is your soul.
