Glory to God. Before we start I just have a couple of comments to make. The Lord has told me that we are to have a prayer line after every meeting because there is no way you are going to hold on to this doctrine with your carnal mind dying. Your carnal mind has to be destroyed, and I will be here for anyone who wants hands laid on them at the end of the meeting for any reason. He rebuked me for not offering it last Sunday.
I will be here, and I suggest that you all come up and get hands laid on your minds for the destruction of your carnal mind and the implanting of the engrafted Word into your heart, because James tells us that the Word must be engrafted.
Jesus said, "My words are spirit and my words are life." As you submit to this kind of teaching, it is not going to do you any good if it does not engraft in your soul as the male seed joins to the female egg and engrafts in the uterus. It is not going to do you any good if it does not get engrafted and start to grow in you, because what is in me has to get inside of you.
What is inside of me is Christ. He has to be formed in you. You cannot be sitting in a school situation for the rest of your life. It is perfectly acceptable now, but it is the Lord's intent for you to reproduce everything that you are hearing, everything that you are experiencing in His spirit, and go forth an give it to your group of people.
We are all limited by our humanity, and the plan of the Lord for the human race is that He is going to have a many-membered body of Christ ministering to, eventually, the whole world. We have to be continuously expanding ,for as long as you are supposed to be sitting in a school room situation, that is great. The end result of it is that you are supposed to graduate and go out and do what the teachers do, not be a student for the rest of your life. Glory to God.
We will start in the book of John, Chapter 8. Where we are going to wind up, only Jesus knows, but we are going to start here. I am just going to make some comments on Verses 1 through 29, and then we are going to look at Verses 31 and on, a little more closely.
I would like to call to your attention that in Verse 8, Jesus went into the temple, and He sat down and He taught them. That is Verse 1. The Scribes and the Pharisees came to Him, in Verse 3, and they brought with them an adulterous woman. They tempted Jesus because they wanted Jesus to accuse this woman.
You see, the mind set of the Scribes and the Pharisees was condemnation. Why? Because the spirit of adoption had not yet been poured out, and the only thing that they had was the condemnation of the law, because by a knowledge of the law we are convicted of our sins, but by the Lord Jesus Christ we are resurrected from the dead.
The Scribes and the Pharisees in the law of Moses had no authority to raise anybody from the dead. They had no power to save anybody. All they could do was condemn and destroy what was ungodly in the earth. Jesus was a man of New Order, and they could not recognize Him. They could not see who He was. We are told in the Prophets that He was their stumbling block, His flesh was their stumbling block. They could not see that He was God in the flesh, and He rebuked them and He said, "The Scriptures tell you about me. The Scriptures tell you what to expect, that God is going to appear in the flesh. Emanuel, God with us. Here I am, and I am doing all of the works of God. I am without sin, and you cannot see my spirit past this body."
The Scribes and the Pharisees came to Him, and they wanted Him to condemn this woman. God gave me a very exciting word that He is going to let me share with you today. Everybody that I know of in the church world wonders what Jesus wrote with His finger. The Scripture in Verse 6 says, "And they said tempting Him (the Scribes and the Pharisees) that they might have to accuse them."
Well, let me go back to Verse 3. "And the Scribes and the Pharisees brought unto Him a woman taken in adultery, whom, and when they had set her in the midst they say unto Him. Master this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Moses in the Law commanded us such should be stoned. But what sayeth thou?"
I want to put it on the tape in case somebody has not heard this before, that Jehovah was not a mean blood-loving, blood-thirsty God. The reason the law of Moses was so strict that you were killed if you committed adultery, along with a host of other sins, was that it was Jehovah's intention to preserve Israel without blame. If this woman was not killed, if adulterers were not killed, or other breakers of the law were not killed, the whole nation of Israel would have been polluted.
If the whole nation of Israel would have been polluted, the Christ, the seed for the creation of God, would not have been able to come forth. The Lord Jesus Christ in the Old testament, known as Jehovah, was not a blood-thirsty God. He was, and still is, a very strong military leader to His people, and He was willing to sacrifice individuals who would not obey His law so that the whole nation of Israel could survive. Why? So that the seed, the spiritual creation of God, could be born. Why? So that the human race could be saved. Glory to God.
The law of Moses said that she should be stoned. Why? To save Israel. Verse 6. "This they said, tempting Him, that they might have to accuse Him. Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though He heard them not. When they continued asking Him, He lifted up Himself and said unto them, he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."
Jesus is establishing the New Order. I call your attention to the Scripture in Verse 6, before He said "He that is without sin among you cast the first stone." He said that in Verse 6. It says, "Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground." Biblical scholars have been pondering this for centuries, and the Lord had me look up these words in the Greek today. I looked up that words "stooped down," and what it means....a very legitimate translation.
I do not know if I told everybody here, so I will explain it again. One of the things we do in this ministry is that we will look up the Greek or Hebrew words, and there could be twenty different definitions for these Greek or Hebrew words. The words that appear in the King James Translation, the words that were chosen by the King James translators, but other translators can just as legitimately choose another definition for the same word. Open up a Webster's dictionary, there are twenty definitions for each word.
God gives me a word in my heart, I go into the Greek, I look up the other choices of the translation for the Greek, and I get a witness to what He told me. The words "stooped down" can be translated as "Jesus, the man, put His soul down under so that the Father who dwelt within Him had full preeminence, had full rule in His mind, rose up in spiritual power." The Father manifested in the man, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Jesus stooped down, and the Father rose up in a full manifestation of uninterrupted spiritual power.
"And with His finger...." The Greek that is translated "finger" comes from the root "ten." The number ten typifies the law. He wrote in the ground, and there is more than one Greek word translated "ground," and this is the Greek word that typifies the ground of your soul. The Greek concordance text says or translates this word this way.
"Yet, Jesus down bending to the finger, down wrote into the land." Now what does that mean? It says, "Yet, Jesus bending down or stooping down to the finger." It does not say that Jesus wrote with His finger. It says He stooped down to the finger, and we said that, that Greek word translated "finger" is from a root, "ten." What does "ten" typify? It typifies the law. Where does the law prevail? In the soul realm.
I am suggesting to you that Jesus bent down to the realm where the law is, in effect. He bent down into the soul realm, and He wrote into the land, that woman's soul, and what did He write? What He engrafted is the image of the Father. He imparted righteousness, He imparted the New Covenant to this woman. He imparted the ability to her to overcome her sin, and, therefore, she did not have to die. I am suggesting to you that this woman came to Him, the man Jesus Christ, He humbled Himself, the soul man, and the spirit of the Father rose up and touched this woman's heart.
He engraved her heart with the spirit of Almighty God. He gave her a new heart. He fulfilled the prophesy of the prophet in her, and if you go down a few verses, He did it again. He did it twice. In Verse 6, it says, "He stooped down, and with His finger He wrote on the ground of her heart." He wrote what? He engraved her heart with the image of the Father, and He imparted righteousness to her.
"So when they continued asking him, He lifted Himself up and said unto them, he that is with out sin among you, let him first cast a stone." Now, He could never have said that if salvation had not been imparted to her. The image of the Father had been engraved on her heart, and He said, "Alright, you who are without sin, cast the first stone, because she is in the bosom of the Father, I have just put her there. Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground....the ground of her soul."
At one point, He engraved the image of the Father in her spirit, and at another point, He engraved the image of the Father on the soul. Both our soul and our spirit must be in the image of the Father, and when we are in that condition, there is no more any condemnation in Christ Jesus. He translated her into the kingdom, translated the condition of her soul from fallen adamic to Christ.
He said, "You cannot condemn her because I said to her, go and sin no more." Well, I read this Scripture and He said, "Go and stop sinning." We know we cannot stop sinning. We know we cannot stop sinning, we do not have the strength to stop sinning. Jesus wrote on her heart with the spiritual finger of the Father and imparted the life of the Son to her, the ability to stop sinning. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
This was just a little aside. Jesus was dealing with the Scribes and the Pharisees here, and He goes on in Verse 12 to tell them who He is. This is how He is dealing with the Scribes and the Pharisees. He is telling them who His is. "I am the light of the world, He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life."
Verse 14. "Though I bear record of myself, my record is true. For I know whence I came and whither I go. But ye cannot tell whence I come and whither I go. Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man." Now is this a mystery! In Verse 15, Jesus says, "Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man."
Verse 16. "And yet if I judge, my judgment is true." Well, what kind of thing is that to say? Jesus was two men. He was soul man, and He was spirit man, and He said, "Out of my soul, I judge no man. Judge not lest ye be judged." Has this ever confused you? Jesus said to judge righteous judgment, judge out of the spirit of Christ in you, and if you cannot tell the difference, do not do anything, because if you judge and it is out of your soul, you will be judged.
Jesus said to the Pharisees, "You are soul men, you judge after the flesh. I judge no man after the flesh." Verse 16. "And yet if I judge, my judgment is true or my judgment is genuine. For I am not alone, but I am with the Father that sent me." Judgment is only out of the mind of Christ that is within Him.
We have a double problem in the church today. We see some believers judging out of their soul. They are causing a lot of trouble for a lot of people including themselves because if we judge, we are going to be judged. You cannot judge. Then we see some believers maturing a little earlier, and they are judging out of their spirit. They are judging righteous judgment. They say, "I see sin over there." We have other believers in the church rising up and saying, "Do not judge your brother. Shhhhh. Love covers a multitude of sins. Look away, go in your closet and pray about it."
I have got a flash for you. When you go in your closet and pray about it, God is going to raise you up to go to that person, but you have to go in righteousness. If you go in condemnation, you kill them. If you see a problem in somebody, pray about it. If God says go, you go. What do you do? You tell them the truth. What is happening in the church today, a large majority of believers cannot tell the difference. They cannot tell whether they are judging after the flesh or not.
Because they do not realize that they are judging out of their flesh man, when you come to them in the spirit of Christ, they cannot recognize the spirit of Christ, and they perceive all kinds of ungodly motives in you for coming to them to tell the truth. This is a big problem in the church today. The people do not want to be corrected, and they do not want to be corrected because they think that they are under the blood, and they are flying away to Heaven.
I am going to show you what Jesus said to the believers as we go on. Right now Jesus is still dealing with the Pharisees, and He is telling them who He is. He is giving them His credentials. His credential is the Father, the spirit of the Father.
His credential is not a card, His credential is not a denomination, and His credential is not another minister or group of ministers who are attesting to the validity of His ministry. He has two credentials, Himself and His Father.
No other man witnessed to Him, and this is how He is talking to the Pharisees, the religious people in the church. Then in Verse 21, He says, "I go my way, and ye shall seek me and shall die in your sins. Whiter I go, ye cannot come."
He is telling them who He is. He is speaking in a parable. He is not saying that I am going to the Kingdom of God. He is just telling them that you will never come because you are in your flesh. You cannot discern my spirit, and you are going to die in your sins. Why? "Because you cannot discern my spirit."
Verse 23. "Ye are from beneath, I am from above, ye are of this world, I am not of this world. I said, therefore, unto you that ye shall die in your sins, for if ye believe not that I am, ye shall die in your sins." the King James translators put in that word "he." What Jesus said is, "If you believe not that I am, ye shall surely die in your sins."
Christ is coming in the flesh, and if we cannot discern Him, we shall surely die in our sins. Why? Because the message that He is coming with, the work that He is coming with, is the greater work. It is the implantation of the seed of Christ in your heart. He is coming to form Christ in you so that He can be resurrected in you, and so you can receive eternal life through His resurrection from within you.
If you reject Him, and if you turn away the Word and the ministry that comes with Him, thou shall surely die in your sins. We must learn to discern the spirit and if you cannot discern it, pray for it. "You have not, because you ask not. If you do not have it, you shall surely die in your sins." I assure you, He is not coming like you expect Him to come. He never comes like we expect Him to come.
Why? Because He wants to find faith in us. He wants us to discern His spirit where ever it is. He wants us to give up our own ways of doing things. He wants us to give up our will, making our decisions, and making our judgment. He wants us to prostrate ourselves like Jesus did when the Father rose up and wrote on the heart of that woman. He wants us to lay down our soul life and utterly submit to Him.
I will tell you, obedience is the name of the game, and the Lord told me just this weekend that when we are disobedient in something, no matter how small it seems, we may never know what we had missed, because Jesus builds one thing on top of another. If we are obedient, then something comes out of it. Many times, things come out of it I could have never imagined.
I was leaving my house today, and the Lord had told me to bring tapes for somebody, and I had forgotten. As I got in the car, I had just turned around, and the Lord said to me, "You forgot the tapes." Now I was really tempted to say, "Lord I have everything packed in the car, I really do not want to go up the steps again." I am trying to be obedient.
I turned off the car, and I went upstairs and as I came down the stairs, XXXX was just walking over, and I believe the Lord wanted her here tonight. Now He did not say to me, "Wait five minutes, because XXXX is coming." He said, "You forgot the tapes." Now if He had said, "XXXX's coming," I would have waited. He said, "You forgot the tapes." I may not have gone back for the tapes. He wants obedience, that is what He wants.
We see Jesus dealing with the Pharisees, and He continues to talk about Himself. He told them who He is. He has told them that the Father is His second witness. He told them He is going away, and they cannot follow. He has told them He is from Heaven, and they are from Hell; although, they probably did not interpret it that way. That is what He said, "I am from above, that is Heaven, you are from beneath, that is Hell." Jesus said it. This is Hell.
If there is an above and a beneath, what does it mean? Heaven and Hell. He is from Heaven. He came down from Heaven, we know He said that. This is Hell. He said to the Pharisees, "You are from Hell." Hell is your mind, and Hell is this world system.
Then He goes on to say, "I have many things to say to you and to judge of you. But He who sent me is true, and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of Him." He is talking about Himself still.
Verse 28. "When ye have lifted up the Son of man, when you have crucified Him, then shall ye know that I am He, and that I do nothing of myself." This is what we should be striving for, to do nothing of yourself. If everything we do is because the Lord told us to do it, we must discern His spirit when it manifests. It is impossible, but we must lay down our life totally, and the smallest little thing. You know, once we start doing it, it is such a blessing.
I ordered some stationary the other day, and I made a decision. I said, "Lord, I do not know if I should do this, but I am going to do it. If you do not tell me not to do it, I am going to do it." It was something on the order. I sent the order in, and today He showed me what a big mistake it was. Hopefully, tomorrow morning at seven o'clock when I get up, I can call and change the order. I do not think they started to print it yet. I was just so blessed because He saved me from all kinds of aggravation and maybe a loss of money.
Ideally, we would pray about the simplest little thing. We could not imagine the dangers in this world. Some of them small, some of them great, but we are in total protection when we pray about everything. Everything. He is our protection. How can He protect us if we do not ask Him? If you are a believer, and you think that He is your protector and you can do anything that you want, you are mistaken, because He is your cover, and when you are under the cover you are protected. If you are out doing your own thing, you are not protected. He is not going to fight with you to stay under His cover. He is going to let you crash your head into the wall. Amen. Amen. We have an amen in the congregation. Glory to God.
We see in John Chapters 1-30, He is talking to the Pharisees about Himself. Verse 29, the last thing He says to them about Himself. "And He that sent me is with me, the Father hath not left me alone: for I do always those things that please Him." What pleases the Lord? Giving out tracts? I am sorry. What pleases the Lord is whatever He tells you to do. If He tells you to give out a tract, it pleases Him. I have heard a lot of believers say, "Only that what you do for Christ survives or is worthwhile." What that means is only what you do because Christ told you to do it, survives. Not what you think Christ wants you to do.
There is a big difference. Why? The big difference is when Christ tells you to do it and you do it, He is increasing in you, and, eventually, He must crush and damage your fallen adamic soul. If your soul is doing it, I do not care if you are praying deliverance, I do not care if you are healing, I do not care if you are in church eight nights a week. I do not care what you are doing, if the Lord has not told you to do it, you are putting Christ under the foot of your own fallen adamic will, and in that hour of His appearing, He shall not appear in you.
He will say to you, "You have done religious works." You will say to Him, "I have healed the sick, and I have gone to the prison houses, I have fed the poor." He will say, "Get out of here, I never knew you, I never told you to do that." He has got the whole church in control. The people that are supposed to go to the prison houses, He has told them to go. The people that are supposed to feed the poor, He has told them to feed the poor, and He has given them the funds to do it. People that He has told to teach, they are teaching. there is a whole bunch of people doing all the same things that God never told them to do it.
Now we go on to Verse 31 and we see that it says, "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him." If you read down as we are going to do, He spoke entirely different to the Jews that believed on Him. To those that did not believe on Him, He told them who He was. To those who did believe on Him, He reveled their sins to them. Are you ready?
He is going to be, if He has not started yet, He is about to reveal your sins to you, and there is a required response when He reveals your sins to you, and if the response is denial you are manifesting pride. If the response is anger, you may be manifesting rebellion. He wants us purified. "He that hath this hope of His appearing, purifies Himself." Our soul is to be purified, and we are entering into the hour of the purification. The church has been playing kindergarten for the last 2000 years.
It is very nice to go to church and sing and dance, and then go out and lead your carnal life, but the hour has come for us to grow up and our sins have to be purified. Before they can be purified, before our soul can be purified and our sins cast out of us, we have to know we have sin. It is not enough to say, "I am a sinner and I repent." He is coming to you and to me with a word of specific sins. He wants us to say, "It is true," when He convicts us of it.
Of course, we cannot lie about it, but if something happens in your life, or if God sends someone to you, for whatever reason to tell you something, we owe it to Christ to say, "Lord, is it true? Is it true about me? Was I wrong in that confrontation?" When the Lord convicts you, we are to repent and submit to deliverance in whatever form He wants to bring it forth.
Let us go on so I can make this point, that He is speaking to those who believed in Him. Verse 32, He says to them....He is not talking about Himself anymore, neither is He talking about the Father. He is talking about them. He says, "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."
I am sorry, I should have read Verse 31. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him. If ye continue in my word, if you continue in my word. Then are ye my disciples indeed." Then everyone says, "Oh hallelujah, I am a disciple of the Lord." Then He says, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." We have a corporate manifestation of pride. The Scripture says in Verse 33, "And they as one man, who all believed in Him, we be Abraham's seed and were never in bondage to any man, how sayest thou, ye shall be made free?"
See, they liked being His disciples, but they do not like their sins pointed out to them. Of course, if you have someone coming to you and pointing out your sins, and they are coming with a spirit of condemnation, of course it is not Christ. We know that there are people all over the church that are in this error. We just talked about it. "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
In this hour, the Lord is convicting His people of their sins. Sometimes it is in a meeting like this. It is much easier to take when someone is up here preaching to a group. I am telling you, brethren, I am telling you the truth. The hour is coming, if you are called....you see, this is not a condemnation on you, it is an honor. If you are called to this high calling of His appearing in you, the chances are really good you are going to find yourself in a confrontation with somebody, and that person, in a right spirit, is going to tell you an error.
COMMENT: Is it true that not everyone is called to the high calling, I mean chosen people?
PASTOR VITALE: In this hour, it is a very small group that Jesus is starting with, a very small group. The Lord usually works with small groups, and then it is going to spread to the whole creation. It is starting with a small group. Each one that He brings to a place where He says they are ready, they are going to go out, and they are going to have groups that they are going to be talking to or minister to on individual levels. Maybe it is starting already, I do not know.
He will take you...the thought that came into my mind, I am hesitating to say it because sometimes people misunderstand me. I will say it anyway. He is so desperate for someone to submit to Him...now we know Jesus is not desperate for anything, I am trying to make a point.
There are so few people willing to pay this price, that the second you get your little toe in the water, He has got something for you to do on your level that you are at. In this hour, there are very few, and I will tell you this, He is not sending you to minister to people in this ministry if you are not willing to confess your sins and to repent and to receive whatever cleansing He has for you. He is not sending you, and I will tell you why He is not sending you. Because if you go to somebody and point out their sin and you have the same sin, when the judgment falls, it is falling on both of you.
You see, the Scripture says in one place, you know that person has that sin because you do the same thing. Right? Now if that is the heart in which you are going to that person, the judgment will be executed, but it is falling on both of you. We saw it happen to a minister in the news a couple of years back. He went out and exposed adultery, and he was exposed across the world. God have mercy on his soul. How terrible. Do not ever expose somebody's sin if you have the same sin.
I will tell you, if you cannot examine your own heart, and you do not know what is in your own heart, you just may go expose someone's sin that you have, so be prepared when that anointing comes down. It is going to expose it in you too.
When we go in Christ...now Jesus is going in Christ. Jesus was without sin, and He went to them and started to reveal pride in them. He said, "You do not know everything." They said, "What do you mean we do not know everything?" He exposed them. He broke the group into two groups, those who believed and those who did not believe. Those who did not believe, they went away. He spoke to those who believed.
The first sentence He spoke to them, He exposed sin in them and even though the second generation of Christ is not in full stature today, as God brings people into your life that are moving in this anointing, Jesus is the only one who makes this decision, and you get into a relationship with them, you are going to find your sins being exposed, and you are not going to like it.
You are hearing these words spoken, you see, and you are going to be responsible for them. No matter what somebody says to you, even if it is in a wrong spirit, God requires you to go before Him. When everything calms down, if you have had words and say "Lord is it true? If it is true I want to know because I want to repent." I am telling you that as this cleansing comes forth in your soul, and as His life increases in you, His power is going to increase in you. You are going to go catapulting to spiritual maturity, and you are going to have strength to heal the sick and to deliver the demonized. His compassion and His mercy is going to come forth in you as your soul is purified.
The very first word that Jesus said to the..... the first thing He did was separate the goats and the sheep, and He spoke to the sheep. He said, "Repent, you have pride." They said "Not us."
Verse 34. He answered them, "Verily, verily I say unto you, whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin." Now all of a sudden, He is talking about sin. He is telling these church people that they sin. I thought they were all covered in the blood? I heard someone say that to me, "Oh, put it under the blood." It is like going to the Catholic Church, go out, do five Hail Mary's and you are okay. I am sorry, but that is not what Jesus was talking about. Being under the blood means that the judgment that is going to come down on you when that sin is exposed, it is not going to be your destruction. It is going to fall under the category, "All things work for the good to those who love the Lord."
"And I have exposed this sin, not to destroy you, but to get it out in the open so it can be dealt with, so you can be purged from it. You can be purified and not be the servant of sin anymore. I have not exposed it to use it against you, I have exposed it to set you free." The Pharisees that believed say.....Glory to God.
Jesus said a little more in Verse 35. He said, "And the servant abideth not in the house forever." Well, let us just skip down to Verse 39 and see what they answer to Him, and then we will go back. They answered and said unto Him, "Abraham is our father." Then Jesus said unto them....
Verse 41. "We have one Father, even God." I suggest to you that by that statement, they were accusing Jesus of being born of fornication, because they knew His mother, Mary, was pregnant before she married Joseph. What have we got? We have a church world broken into two groups. Jesus speaks to the believers, and the first thing He tells them is that they have pride. He convicts them of sin, and what do they do? The first thing that they do is reveal their pride, they deny that they have sin, they deny they serve anybody except themselves. They said they are in total control of their own lives. "No devil has power over me, he is a toothless wonder." You cannot get off drugs, you cannot take the victory over your problem, and you have no faith.
The last thing they do, or the third thing they do is they accuse the person sent by God of sin, Himself. These are all manifestations of pride. They will not even receive the correction. They will not even pray about it. I mean, you do not have to believe everyone that walks up to you and says that you have a sin. The Lord does not require that of you, but He requires you to pray about it.
I will tell you no matter what anybody says to me, I will sit down and pray with them, and I have been accused of some hairy things. I will sit right down and pray with them. Someone told me they prayed about me the other day, that if I was not of God I should be destroyed.
These are all manifestations of pride. If you are being called in this hour, chances of you having pride are very great. Why? Because pride is the condition of the natural man. I condemn you not, I am telling you the truth, so that you can overcome pride. Why? So that when you overcome pride, that is the equivalent of putting yourself under, and the Father is going to rise up in you, and all kinds of glory is going to come upon you.
You are going to admit you have this pride, and I do not hesitate to say this to you because you have it. Some a little more, some a little less. Some have it under control a little more, but even if you are controlling it, it is there. There is nothing wrong with controlling it until God delivers you, but you cannot be controlling it as a white wash. You cannot be controlling that pride so you can say you are righteous. We are all sinners, all have fallen short of the Glory of God. All have sin. Not one is righteous, not one. Even when you have the Holy Spirit, you are justified with God. Satan can no longer destroy you, and the judgment will be used to deliver you.
This is the warning. If you are called, beware of pride, and this is the word of Jesus to you. We will go back to Verse 34. "Verily, verily I say to you whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin." Well what does that mean? It means that you cannot stop doing it. I know you stopped drinking, and I know you stopped fornicating, and I know you stopped your drugs. Can you stop envying? Can you stop being proud? Can you stop the competition that is in your heart? You cannot. It is the condition of your soul. Your only hope is that Jesus will be formed in you unto full spiritual manhood, and swallow up your Adamic soul.
You have to admit it is there for this to happen to you. He is challenging you to admit that it is there, and He is telling you that you are the servant of sin. There has to be something that you cannot stop doing. How are we doing over there? There has to be something that you cannot stop doing.
Verse 35. "The servant abideth in the house not forever, but the son abideth forever." Now what in the world is Jesus talking about? "If the Son therefore shall make ye free, ye shall be free indeed." I suggest to you that the house is this body, and Jesus is saying that if you are a servant of sin, you shall not abide in the house forever. You shall die. If you serve sin, you are going to die.
The only way to stop serving sin is to have Jesus swallow up that sin and become your righteousness. For that to happen to you, you have to admit that you serve sin, and that you do things wrong, and you have to work with Jesus. Work with Him, strive with Him to change by His power. It is impossible for you to change without Him, but neither is it true that He is going to do all the work. He is giving you the power. You must exercise that power unto righteousness.
How could you do that? First, you have to get a revelation of what righteousness is. Even before that, you have to get a revelation of what your problem is, and then you have to apply the righteousness to the problem, and watch yourself go. You are going to take off because that is power, power in the name of Jesus. We have got to wield that weapon. We cannot say, "I am okay," and expect to be delivered.
Jesus is saying to them that if you serve sin, you are not going to abide in the house forever, but the son abideth forever. When the son fills your house, you are going to live the life of the ages. We have to stop serving sin, and we have to, by some mystery, get our house or our body filled up with the life of Christ, because the Son is not going to die. The servant, the soul that serves sin, which is fallen adam, he is going to die, and when he dies your body is going to die.
I bet you always thought your body died and then your soul died. No, no, no. Your soul dies, then your body dies. This body is just a slave, it reflects the spiritual life that dwells within it. Your soul dies from sin, and when our soul dies, our body dies. Glory to God. Everything is backwards, we are here on the other side of the mirror. This world system is a mirror image of what is happening in the realm of the spirit, the spirit world.
First, your soul dies and then your body dies, but if your soul is Christ, and He never dies, your body is never going to die. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
Verse 36. "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I know that ye are Abraham's seed, but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you." Now there are two points there. Maybe the Pharisees did seek to kill Him physically, but you know we kill each other with our mind. What Jesus is saying here, I do not believe that these Pharisees that believe were physically trying to kill Him. I do not believe that. I believe what He is saying, and I believe the spiritual power of your fallen adamic mind, fallen adam/fallen adamic soul is the ultimate mind control.
Looking at a human being who, at that moment, is manifesting Christ to you and calling Him evil, you are killing Him. Jesus said, "You seek to kill me." These are the ones who believed, but from the second that He started to expose sin in them, the spiritual power of their fallen adamic mind, fallen adam/fallen adamic soul, was opposing Him, and He said that is murder. Can anyone not hear what I am saying? The people were not trying to physically kill Him, but they were opposing the word of God, the perfect word of God coming out of His mouth. He was saying to them, "You have pride, repent." They were saying, "We do not have any need to repent. We do not have pride, what you are saying is a lie."
This is the ultimate spiritual warfare, mind to mind. You think it was fun when you cast out demons. You have not seen anything yet. Those are just the little guys. Wait until you come up against a powerful carnal mind in another believer that is trying to kill you, and if you tell the person that, they will say "You must have a devil, I do not seek to kill you." When you call Christ in me sin, you are killing me. Jesus just said it. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
I just want to read Verse 37 again. "I know that ye are Abraham's seed, but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen in my Father, ye do that which ye have seen with your father." I tell you, Jesus is telling the same word to the church today. They are the Pharisees of the church today even with the Holy Spirit. Israel had the Holy Spirit. Israel had the spirit of Christ. They had the word of God. They had miracles. Do you know there is no recorded history of a doctor ever being in Israel? I actually read in a magazine once, this poor ignorant man actually wrote this article that Israel was so backward that they would not see a doctor. Miraculous healing in Israel. They went to the priest and they got healed. Glory to God.
They were Abraham's seed, and today we have Abraham's seed. Why are we Abraham's seed? Because you have the Holy Spirit? Jesus said, "My word is not in you." You have the spirit of Christ, it is flowing around your head, you are sitting in meetings, it is passing you by, it is whizzing over your head, but it is not rooting in your ground. There is something wrong with your ground. You have stones in your ground, you have thorns in your ground, and you have weeds in your ground.
Jesus is saying right here that you do not have to give up because you have stones, and thorns, and weeds in your ground. By the power of Almighty God which you have, the Holy Spirit, you could get your ground plowed. You can get these stones, and these weeds, and thorns out so that the word that is spirit, and the word that is life can engraft in your fallen adamic soul and start to grow.
Someone said to me recently, "I am sorry, I do not believe the Holy Spirit is different than Christ." I said, "That is fine, do not believe it." She could not believe that I said that. I am telling you, it is different than Christ. The Holy Spirit is the seed of the Father. It is whizzing over your head right now. It has to be engrafted in your fallen adamic soul, and Christ has to be formed in you or you shall surely die in your sins.
Do not panic, pray for it. "You have not, because you ask not." If you are hearing the word, He wants to give it to you. He is not going to let you hear it and deny it to you, but, of course you have to admit you do not have it and ask for it. Jesus said, "I came to Israel, I came to heal the blind, but you tell me that you are not blind. You tell me that you can see. There is nothing I can do for you."
You tell me that you have the engrafted word, and that Christ is being formed in you, and He is not, and you will not take ministry, you will not receive prayer, there is nothing I could do for you. You shall surely die in your sins. I do not know about you, but every time there was an altar call, I made tracks for the altar. I was not going to miss anything. I went up every time. I even went up when it was not what I...when I was not up for what they were calling for. That is the person who gets it.
We have a church full of people who can take it or leave it. They are not hungry for God. They are just resting on their riches because they think they have all that they need. Well, you do not have it all, you are in a great deception. You are in a great deception. There is a great work to be done in you, and the time is short. The time is short.
If you do not have Christ formed in you, or let me put it this way for you. If you have Christ formed in you, you are one of the five virgins with oil in their lamp, and the door is opening up to enter into Heaven, and if you do not have the oil, you are not going in. Christ must be formed in you. If you do not think He is being formed in you, I will be glad to pray for you after the meeting. Hallelujah. What verse are we up to?
Verse 38. "I speak that which I have seen with my Father, and you do that which ye have seen with your father." Who is their father? He told them their father is the devil. The fallen adamic soul, Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, is their father. The church is filled with believers whose father is Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, and even if Christ is being formed in them, you have to submit to Him. You have to be obedient to Him, and you have to do what He says.
Jesus says, "I speak that which I have seen with my Father." The Scripture says that even if Christ is formed in you, it is possible to tread Him underfoot, and there is no more sacrifice for sin. You cannot do whatever you want, you cannot go where ever you want. You have to pray about everything, about your job, about how you spend time with your family. You have to pray about everything. "Lord what do you want me to do. Let my life honor you, that I should be able to say in the hour that I have only done what you have told me to do."
Verse 39. They answered and said unto Him, "Abraham is our father." They did not know what He was talking about. He was talking about the spiritual father. They were saying, "Abraham was our father, and you are of fornication, you have no father."
Here we see this problem manifesting frequently as we mature in the spirit. We will get into confrontations with other believers. Why? Jesus will bring us to this. Why? Because Jesus is exposing sin. Now be careful that you do not get snared by somebody with a wrong spirit looking to destroy you. Jesus is exposing sin, and it is going to come forth in relationships, mostly with other believers, but non- believers too. It is exposed in relationships.
The kind of conversations that Jesus is having with these Pharisees, He is exposing sin, and what you will find as you mature in Jesus Christ is that you are trying to have an intelligent conversation with somebody, you are talking spiritual things, and they are talking about carnal thing, and never the twain shall meet. You just go round, and round, and round.
Let us see how Jesus handled it. They answered Him carnally. He spoke to them spiritually, and they answered Him carnally, and He continued to speak spiritually. He said, "If you were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. Abraham was righteous, but now ye seek to kill me, a man that told you the truth, which I have heard from God. This did not Abraham, ye do the deeds of your father, the devil." Then they said to Him, "We are not born of fornication, we have a father, God." Jesus said unto them, "If God was your father, you would love me for I preceded forth and come from God. Neither came I of myself, but He sent me."
What is He talking about? This is some confusion. He is talking spirit, they are talking fallen adamic soul. What is He talking about? He is saying that He was incarnated at the specific will of the Father. Did you know that every human being on the face of the earth is not born because the Father has commanded it? Jesus said, "I proceeded forth and came from God, neither came I of myself, but He sent me."
On some of the early tapes in this ministry, we talk about the fact that there are many human beings that are born for other reasons than Jesus calling for them to be formed. People just decided to have a baby. Some people have sex, and they get pregnant, and sometimes the fallen adamic soul decides that he wants to appear in a man. Everyone in the earth today is not here because Jesus Christ or because the Father, however you want to say it, has said that they should be born.
Now if you are at a meeting like this, the chances are really good that Jesus Christ said that you should be born. The chances are really good, but there is a whole world out there that are not the first fruits company. Glory to God.
Then Jesus said to them, I mean, I am really laughing when I read this because I have been in conversations like this. He says. "Why do you not understand my speech, I am talking to you. Why do you not know what I am talking about? Even because you cannot hear my word?" What word? The spiritual word. They did not understand His speech, the human language, because they could not understand what His heart was saying. He could have been speaking Spanish or French.
Then Jesus goes on to say. "Ye are..." still Jesus never comes down to their level. He continues to stay on the spiritual realm where He is. He says, "Ye are of the father, the devil, and the desires of your father, ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him."
Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, is the lie. Jesus is the truth. "When he speaks the lie, he speaketh of his own. The Father did not put that word in his heart." Anything that comes out of your own heart is a lie. We have a whole church full of people running around saying, "The Lord told me, the Lord told me, the Lord told me, the Lord led me, the Lord gave me." The Lord never told them, the Lord never led them, and the Lord never gave them, and they are liars. Glory to God.
This is very serious business, especially when you start going to other people saying. "The Lord told me to tell you." That is very dangerous to do if God did not tell you to do it. It is witchcraft. Did you know when you look at somebody's life, and you form an opinion out of your own heart, and then you start praying about that opinion to pass, that is witchcraft. You are not to do that. You are not to pass a judgment about somebody else's life. Your answer, your fallen adamic soul's answer to their problem, and then to start praying about it, you can do them great damage.
You go before the Lord and you say, "Father, I perceive this problem, I call your attention to it, help them, bless them. How would you have me to pray? Would you have me to do anything?" Then you wait. You do not assume because you pray this prayer that the next thought that comes in your mind is God telling you to go tell them, because I have seen people pray like that, and then they go jump up and do whatever they want to do.
They say, "God sent me." God did not send you. Your father, the devil, sent you. Again, I condemn you not, but if we are going to ascend into the high realm of His spirit, we must learn to tell the difference between Christ and fallen adam, who is ruled by Satan, the unconscious part of the carnal mind, speaking to our mind. We have to learn. Now you can hears these words, but it is mostly trial and error. All I can say to you is pray your way through everything.
Sometimes He does not answer you right away. God is slow to answer you. I am telling you this from my experience, except in moments of severe crisis where your life is in danger. Usually, I will wait two or three days, or maybe I will have the answer in my heart right away. I will not move, I will wait two or three days just to make sure it is God. I will pray. "Lord I think I have the answer, I have an answer in my heart, if it is you." Then I will wait another couple of days, and then I will say, "I am going to do it, if you do not stop me I am going to assume that it is okay, that it is you." Then I will do it.
God is not compulsive. God does not have you get up and move like that unless it is some kind of emergency. He is faithful and He can wait. He does not care if you try the spirit for three days. He wants you to try the spirit slowly, and when God tells us to do things, it is rarely in a burst of emotion. If you are filled with emotion as you do whatever you are doing, it is not likely that it is God. God is calm, and He is rational, and He is strong in His quietness. He is powerful, and He is immovable. When we are emotional, that is almost always our fallen adamic soul which is female.
You know, you go out into the world, go talk to some military men that are career army men, and they will tell you that they look down on emotion. It is a sign of weakness. I used to work for lawyers a lot, and, I am telling you, they know it is a sign of weakness.
If you are a lawyer that tends towards hysteria, they are watching you because you are not stable. Now I am not putting you down, I am giving you information. How can we grow in Christ if we do not know what we have to overcome? I am not attacking anyone here. I am talking to you. I used to be hysterical all the time. Now I am rarely, very rarely hysterical, very rarely, because Christ is taking over and swallowed all that up in me. We are to be calm, we are to be methodical, we are to think things through, and we are to make intelligent decisions after we have prayed and meditated over the word. When we get the answer, we try the spirit.
Emotion is almost never God. I cannot say "never," because I cannot put God in a box, but almost never God. God is cool in the fire. What He is doing, He is filling in our soul.
We used to draw pictures going back a few years. I used to draw pictures of mountains and valleys, and our fallen adamic soul life consists of mountains and valleys. The Lord is coming in, and He is filling up the valleys, He is raising them up to the level of the mountains, and He is making everything even.
We are to be in total control of our emotions at all times. This is the ideal. If you lose it, do not get condemned. You have to have a goal, you have to know what you are reaching for. We must rule by the spirit of Christ. When everything is raging around you, He will talk to you in a still small voice, and I have heard it, but you have to hear it. If you are in agreement with the rage, you will never hear it. He is there, He is training us, and this is what we are to strive for.
In the moment of crisis, sit still and listen for His instruction. This is what He is training us for. Hysteria and emotion is the fallen adamic soul. It is spiritually female. I could just hear everyone saying, "Boy, she is a woman hater." That is what they said about Paul. I am not a woman hater, I am a woman. I am not a woman hater, but I am telling you the truth. God set up the creation that way.
Thousands of woman did fit into these categories. There they were, usually hysterical, and they did not think too much, and they were all emotions, and the men were the rational beings. It is only in the last hundred or fifty years that woman have changed. That is just because that is the reflection of the spiritual realm. Women have the opportunity to become spiritual men in this hour, but all that means is that you become a man. We touched on this Thursday night.
I feel to repeat it again. It is alright for a woman to give up her hysteria and to give up her weakness. Well, you could still very much be a woman and be strong, but as we ascend in Christ, we are becoming spiritual men.
It is fine unless you are married. Now if you are married, you have to acknowledge that the physical male is the head of the marriage. A lot of people get messed up at this, and they think that all woman have to submit to all men. That is not true. The wife submits to the husband. It has nothing to do with your education, it has nothing to do with your intelligence, and it has nothing to do with your wisdom.
God said that the man is the head of the family, and if he is doing something wrong, a wrong decision, and you are 100% sure it is wrong, what you do is get down on your face and cry out to God. You do not take on your husband unless God sends you to him in a spirit of Christ to tell him something he needs to hear.
You never fight for power, even if what he is doing is wrong. If you turn it into a fight for power, you are rebuked. You are the first one the Lord will rebuke. The Lord will rebuke you before He will correct the error in the husband. The woman must come into submission, That is the way He set it up, I am sorry.
In this hour, you have an opportunity to choose. You do not have to get married, but if you get married, you have to submit to your husband. You do not have to get married if you do not want to, and you can be, if it is okay with the Lord, you can be a spiritual man. You can be calm, cool, and collected, rational, and very strong, and a leader, but you are going to have a problem if you want to get married.
Not that you cannot get married, but you cannot stay....well, you can stay that way, but you cannot challenge your husband. Did I make that clear? You cannot challenge your husband. if it is going to be.... if you are going to, for whatever reason, marry a man that is not as intelligent as you are or that is not as educated as you are, and after you are married, you decide you are frustrated with him, you still have to submit to him.
Do not get married for some frivolous reason, like because they are good looking, or because you are sexually attracted to them. That is not a reason to get married. Everybody knew that years ago. It is just in this society that we get married because we think we love the person, but it is not love. It is just physical attraction.
The whole society is falling apart. For thousands of years, society has known you do not get married for physical attraction. You marry someone that is going to be a good husband or a good wife, that is going to fulfill their role in the marriage. Everybody knew that years ago. It is just in this society that we get married because we think we love the person, but it is not love, it is just physical attraction. Everybody knew that, nobody knows it anymore. They are going crazy. People are married six times, seven times, looking for that pie in the sky.
No one is going to make you happy, just Jesus is going to make you happy. Get your life in order, submit to Christ. If you are a woman, submit to your husband. Your kids will never submit to you if you are not in submission to your husband. They will never submit to you. You could beat them day and night, and they will never submit to you if you are not in submission to your husband. He should be in submission to Christ. At least you have to be in the right order, God said it. I could hear them screaming in the spirit. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. I do not know where that came from.
In the Book of John Chapter 8, and we are up to Verse 43. I would like to repeat that. Jesus said, "Why do you not understand my speech." They did not know what He was talking about. He said. "Even because you cannot hear my words." He said, "You are carnal, you cannot understand spiritual things." Verse 44. "Ye are of your father, the devil and the lusts of ye father, ye will do." We know now that the natural man lusts. One of the major characteristics of the natural man is lust.
"He was a murderer from the beginning." Who did he kill? Anybody, know who he killed? He killed the righteous Abel. He rose up in Cain, and he killed the righteous Abel right from the beginning. "He abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. He is a wild raging beast. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own heart. He does not speak the word of the Father for he is a liar and the father, or the originator of lies."
God does not lie... that is not true, we know in the Scripture that God lies. When God lies, He has a righteous motive, and it works for our good. See, God is life. Everything that He does results in life. Man is death. Even if he tries to be righteous, he winds up hurting people. I am sure all of us have this testimony. We have tried our very best to be a good son, to be a good mother, to be a good father, to be a good brother or sister, and we always wind up hurting the person.
We just cannot give them everything that they need. It is impossible. Jesus, even when He tells a lie, and we know He sent a lying spirit into the prophet, it turns out for good because He is life, and He can do things we cannot do because we are death. He is righteousness, and we are unrighteousness. Hallelujah.
Verse 45. Jesus still speaking, He says, "And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convicted me of sins and if I say the truth why do you not believe me?" He is saying to them, "I am without sin, show me my sins. Which one of you can accuse me correctly of sin?" He said, "I say the truth, why do not you believe me?" the answer to why they did not believe Him was because their heart was evil. Their heart was filled with sin and mostly pride, and they did not want to hear the truth. Why? Because His truth reveled what they were in their heart.
They would not admit it, and they would not believe Him. It was not to their advantage to believe Him. Did you ever come to somebody with the word, and if it suits them they believe it. If it does not suit them, they do not believe it. Well, you cannot play games like that with the word of God. If you take it, it is going to work in you. You cannot sit in a meeting like this and expect to not have it touch you. It is going to touch you. It is going to work in your life. It is not going to start with your enemy. Jesus wants us purified.
They did not believe Him because they did not want to be purified. They wanted the other guy punished. You know, sometimes Jesus does that for you. I hear about people that have trouble in their job, and the Lord moves out the offensive person. He will do that if you are a baby. When you start to grow up, watch out, watch out because He is not moving them out. He is not moving them out of your path. You have to overcome by the love of Christ.
You have to be down on your face praying for them. You have to show them kindness and love and, if necessary, you can give them a righteous rebuke. Do not expect Him to take all the difficulties out of your life very long because you are in for a big surprise. You must deal with controversy in righteousness.
You know, the church does not give a very good witness today. There are many people in the world, they look around and get into conflicts with the people in the church. They say, "That is a Christian?" Trials and tribulations are already upon you to form you into a good witness for Christ, and contrary to common belief in the church, your witness for Christ is not your personal witness for what God did for you. Your witness is what you are. Is Christ appearing in you? Especially is He appearing in you during a controversy?
If He is not, He is going to be after He beats you, because if you are not chastened by the Lord, you are a bastard. I remember the first time I heard that I was like, "Why would God want to beat me? I did not do anything wrong." He has been beating me for years. "None is righteous, no not one."
Verse 47. "He that is of God, hearth God's word. Ye heareth not because ye are not of God." Now what does that mean? It means that Christ is not being formed in you. I am telling you, brethren, to hear the words of God, Christ must, in some measure, be being formed in you. The Holy Spirit is not enough. You must have something of the very life of Christ.
You see, the Holy Spirit is the Father, Christ is the Son. You have to have a measure of the Son. He had to be already being formed in you. The Father has come to impregnate us and form His Son in us. If you do not have the Son...it is the Son in you that can understand this. He is your eyes, He is your ears, and He is your understanding. A Lot of people misunderstand this Scripture, because,"Therefore, you hear them not because you are not of God." You can be of God. If you just humble yourself, and repent, and receive the seed of the Lord you can be of God. All things are possible with Christ.
Then answered the Jews, they said into Him, "Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?" See now, they are attacking Him. He is telling them the truth, because the truth is going to set them free. He said it back at the beginning of this message. "The truth is going to set you free." They did not want to hear that. They are telling Him that He has a devil, and that He is a Samaritan. That was the worst thing you could say to a Jew, that they were a Samaritan.
Samaritans were idol worshipers, and a Jew would not even talk to them. They were filthy perverts, bowing down to golden calves, dropouts from Israel, the shame of Israel. That is what they called the Son of God in full stature, that is what they called Him. Jesus said, "I have not a devil, but I honor my Father and ye do dishonor me." They dishonored the Son of God. Why? Because they did not like what He said to them. When He told them they were disciples, they were thrilled. When He told them the truth about their spiritual condition, they dishonored Him, and they lied about Him, and they sought to smear His name.
Be careful, you see now how could they have avoided this trap? You are not supposed to be doing that to anybody. You are not supposed to be dishonoring anybody. The book says be careful, you could be entertaining angels unaware. You do not know who you are entertaining. You do not know where that person is in God.
If you honor everybody, and you treat each other better then you would yourself, and if you are always in submission except for unrighteousness, you are not going to fall into this snare. Jesus just proved that they were not even keeping the law of Moses. They had murder in their hearts. Jesus said, "I seek not mine own glory, there is one that seeketh and judgeth."
"Verily, verily I say unto you, if a man keep my saying he shall never see death." Now check this out, if a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. Jesus said, "He shall never see death." The Pharisees said, "Then said the Jews unto Him, now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead and the prophets, and thou sayest, if a man keep my saying he shall never taste of death."
if you look up those words in the Greek, you will find out that Jesus was saying to them, "That if you keep my saying, you shall enter into the age of the kingdom where death has been abolished. It will not be there anymore." They turned it around, and that word "taste" means "to experience," and they said that He said, "You will never experience death," which they are already experiencing. This whole world system is death.
What does it mean? They had no idea what He was talking about, and instead of submitting themselves and being teachable, and saying, "I see a great Son of God..." If nothing else, He was doing mighty miracles. "...teach me, let me learn." They stood up in pride, and hardened their hearts. The Scripture says they shot out their shoulder and stiffened their lip, and they killed the Son of God. Believe me, what they did to Him on the cross, they killed Him with their mind.
What is the word of the Lord to us tonight? Be very careful when you form opinions about people, pray carefully and even if it turns out that it is a righteous judgment that there is sin in somebody, make sure that is God before you pray against it. Do not pray out of revenge. Do not pray out of retaliation. Look at your heart, what is your motive for praying? Is that person tormenting you? Are you rebuking rebellion because they are tormenting you? It will not work. If you are dealing with sin in anybody to deliver yourself from torment, I am telling you, you have no power to set them free.
The only time you have power to set them free, is when you are willing to be crucified by them, and you are praying for God's mercy on their life, that He should have the same mercy on them that He had on you. If you are trying to get them in shape because they are giving you trouble, forget it.
Remember that Scripture where the disciples could not cast the demon out? Jesus said, "Oh you faithless generation. How long am I going to suffer you?" Do you know what that was really about? They were out there saying, "Wooptedo, we have power over demons, are we not great?" They went and tried to cast it out, and it would not come out because they were fallen adamic men who Jesus had given power. They were the faithless generation.
Fallen adam and all of his children are a generation, and the other generation is Christ. A seed shall be a generation, we are told in the prophets. A seed shall form a generation. Everyone that has Christ being formed in them is of the generation of Christ. What Jesus was saying to them is that you try to cast it out by your fallen adamic soul so that you would be glorified and that you had power over the demons. Did not Jesus say "Do not be happy that you have power over the demons, be happy that your name is written in the Book of Life."
Jesus went and out of the soul of Christ, He had the authority to cast the demon out. His motive was to serve the Father. He did nothing except what the Father told Him to do, but they were out there playing games and they got into trouble.
Be careful who you judge and pray about everything and discern the intents of your own heart. Even if you see sin in somebody, you cannot bind and loose that person because their sin is making you uncomfortable. That is witchcraft. We have a whole church world full of people practicing witchcraft. You cannot do it. God might permit it for a season while He is teaching you, but if you are hearing this message, you cannot do it. You must be willing to die so the person could get delivered. Go before the Lord and say, "Lord, anything you want me to do I am willing to do. Have mercy on this person that is in this terrible desperate spiritual condition, and I will give up anything as long as it is you." Do not go do something stupid because some devil is telling you to do it.
As long as it is God, pray "What would you have me to do to help this person? Give me your heart, give me your mind, give me your thoughts." We are to die for the brethren, that is not a vain Scripture. We are to die for one another. What does that mean? Our fallen adamic soul is to be sacrificed. "My pride, you hurt my pride." Well, is that not too bad? This is the crucifixion. You forgive your brother seven times seventy. You do what is best for him. You be right with Christ, and He is going to pour such power on you, you are not going to know what to do with yourself, but not when you are doing it for your glory. Not when you are using that power to get irritating situations away from you.
When you have sacrificed your life so that the Father can fully manifest through you, when you do not do anything you want to do, you are going to have the power that Christ had, and in that condition you are going to use that power to set the people free. He is not going to give you that power if you are going to....I heard somebody say, "As soon as I get the power, I am flying in the spirit to some country or something," and somebody turned around and said, "You mean without asking the Lord?" This was how she was thinking.
She was going to get this power, and she was going to do what she wanted to do with it. No you are not. To get this power you have to die. You have to die. Glory to God. Do we have any questions tonight. How is our question ministry?
The following is an exhortation after we started to pray in the meeting.
See, this is the catch, and there is a real trial here. It does not matter what kind of filth we see in somebody. The reality of our existence is that we are all capable of everything. Depending on what the conditions we were born in and what happened to us, we are all capable of anything. That is why Jesus hates pride. He hates somebody that says, "I have never been on drugs." I just use things that are easy for people to relate to. "I have never been on drugs, and you are on drugs. You must be weak, and I must be strong." Watch out if that is how you think, because He is....a real heavy trial is coming your way because that is pride, and what He is trying to build in us, what is His intention to build in us, is compassion. No matter how filthy the crime is, the mind of Jesus would say, "How terrible for this man to find himself in this horrible condition where he has committed these acts."
Now judgment has to be executed. You cannot leave murderers out on the street, but His law is to be executed in mercy, and with prayers for his restoration in Christ. While you are putting him behind bars if it is necessary, if he is guilty, if he is a menace to society, you are to do it with tears in your eyes, asking God for a miracle to change this man's heart, that it would be possible to set him free, that he should be a decent citizen in society.
How terrible to be a human being in a prison that is inside your own mind that is making you do things that is destroying others, and destroying your own life and our families, whatever your situation is. How terrible a bondage to be in. I do not care how hard you hurt me, I thank God I am not in that bondage, and I have mercy on them because why would you have mercy on me and not have mercy on them?
This is what God is building into our heart. It is this kind of thinking that is going to receive the power to set you free. I am telling you, He will never pour out His miraculous miracle working power on you to set the captive free if you are condemning people in your heart. I do not care what they have done, I do not care what they have done, Jesus will execute judgment that will be necessary to protect society, but He will never condemn that person, because He has cursed this human race, and He has come to save us. He has smitten and He has torn down, and He is now building up, and we are in the condition we are in because God has cursed us.
Some human beings are in a worst condition than other human beings, and you better watch out if you are in a better condition, and you are condemning the other guy, because you are in trouble, and your children are in trouble, and your grandchildren are in trouble, and your great grandchildren are in trouble. By the time you get to the fourth generation, you just might see the same problem on your family line. That is the size of it.
We are supposed to be turning into Christ. Christ had compassion. He had compassion on the Gadarene Demoniac. He has compassion. He does not condemn. Check your hearts out. Check your heart out, and if you see something horrible in your heart, do not hide it. The Pharisees white-washed their hearts. Jesus said, "You shall surely die in your sins." Say, "Jesus it is there. I do not want this heart. Kill it and give me your heart." That is the size of it. Do we have anymore questions? We are going to start praying. You have a question XXXX? Does anybody else have a question? I will be glad to pray for anybody.
