PROPHECY
Yea, saith God, I am the Beginning and the End, so I redeemeth, saith the Lord. I shall, indeed, bless thee this night, saith God, for I have heard thy prayers, saith the Lord, and, indeed, they have come up unto me as a sweet smelling savor, and I shall, indeed, meet the needs of my people, saith God, for it is unto this end that I have entered into the realm of appearance. Yea, that thou should ascend and meet Me and be where I am, saith God, that I should come down and meet thee, saith the Lord, and lay hold of thee, and join myself to thee and elevate thee to where I am, saith God. And yea, indeed, ear has not heard and eye has not seen the things that I have in store for those who have been elevated to the right hand of the Father, and I shall do this work, saith the Lord, none other. Not he, known as Adam or any other saith God for I am God, and there is, indeed, none other like me, and none other that has the capability of performing the promises, that I have promised unto thee. Yea, listen not to another voice, saith the Lord, but discern My spirit, and if thou cannot discern My spirit, ask, for I am He that is abundance. Yea, My name is even abundance, and I shall pour out unto thee everything that thou has not and that thou asks for of my spirit, saith God. Yea, I shall not turn thee away, but I shall, indeed, hold out the scepter unto thee, and I shall grant every Godly request, saith the Lord, and I shall pour out Myself upon thee, and I shall bring thee up into Me, and we shall be one, and we shall go in and we shall come out, and my every purpose shall be accomplished in the earth saith the Lord, and you shall be with me during this glorious time, saith God. Yea, you shall partake of all that I shall partake of, saith the Lord, for I have granted unto thee of My spirit, saith God. Yea, I have deemed to call thee My Sons, saith the Lord, and, indeed, the Son Himself thought it not robbery to make Himself equal with God, and this is where I shall bring thee to, saith the Lord, but during the process I say unto thee, humble thyself, seek me early, saith the Lord, listen for My voice, and I shall not fail thee.
Genesis 32:24-32, "And Jacob was left alone and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day, and when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, and he wrestled with him, and he said, let me go for the day breaketh, and he said, I will not let thee go except thou bless me, and he said unto him, what is thy name, and he said, Jacob. And he said, thy name shall be called no more Jacob but Israel for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men and have prevailed. And Jacob asked him and said, tell me, I pray thee, thy name, and he said, wherefore is it that thou doest ask after my name, and he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel for I have seen God face-to-face, and my life is preserved, and as he passed over Peniel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh. Therefore, the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh unto this day because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank." Praise the Lord.
Now, these are several verses that are placed right in the middle of a pretty natural chapter of the Book of Genesis, and we have discussed this on previous messages, of how the Holy Spirit interjects deep spiritual truth in the midst of very carnal teachings. We did a teaching recently, I think it was in the Book of 1 Corinthians, where it says how Paul just went from natural to spiritual, from natural to spiritual, and there is no way to tell what he is doing, unless the Holy Spirit quickens it to you, and if the Holy Spirit has not quickened it to you, the average believer tends to take the spiritual teaching that is like a nugget of gold, buried in the earth and takes it by the letter and interprets it carnally. Not only does he miss the deep truth that God is telling to His people, but sometimes he does great damage to his own understanding by dragging this deep spiritual truth down to the natural realm.
This book is not the word of God. This book is the Scripture. It is a book, it is just paper, and it has words written on it. The Word of God is the glorified Christ. From Revelation 20, God has given us the Scripture for our school book for the purposes of us growing up into spiritual men and women, and we know that we are Living Epistles, and when we are completely one with Christ, the entire understanding of this book will be in our very hearts. We will not need a book to refer to, but right now because we are still natural men, this is the way that God has chosen to teach us. These few Verses are very controversial, it is not even a whole chapter, and I would like to remind you also that the King James' writers were not religious. They were scholars, and I do not even know if they were Christians. When they interpreted the Hebrew, they interpreted it to the best of their ability with no spiritual knowledge.
We also know that when we open up the Webster's Dictionary, we can have 10 or more definitions of any English word, and the Hebrew is even worse. Hebrew is such a rich language. You can have 20 or 30 definitions of every word, so what we have is deep spiritual truth that is buried under a mistranslation by the scholarly King James' writers, and in this hour the Holy Spirit is bringing forth the truth of His Spirit to His people. He has some interesting things to show us tonight.
I would just like to talk a little about Jacob before we get into Verse 24. Jacob was one of two brothers. His brother's name was Esau, and they were both natural men, but the spiritual promise was promised that it would come down this line, and it was promised to the older son, his brother Esau. Jacob, in cahoots with his mother, stole the birthright from his brother, Esau. He tricked his father, he lied to his father, he stole, and then he ran away to avoid the consequences. Not only was he not the nicest guy, but he did not have a verystrong character. There are many Scriptures that indicate that he had great fear, and when he ran away, he was cheated by the father of the woman that he desired to marry. He reaped what he sowed, he robbed, and he was robbed, and when he left his father-in-law's house, he did not leave on good terms. He left with his wife being a thief. His wife robbed her own father, just like he robbed his father.
We see family line curses operating here in great power. Jacob was just a natural man with many, many problems, and as we move into Genesis, Chapter 32, he is returning home because the Lord had said to him, "Return home." Jacob is greatly afraid of his brother Esau, who is a natural man who lost the spiritual inheritance, but has prospered in the natural, that has great money and armies and many men in his household, and Jacob is afraid to return home. He is afraid that his brother will kill him. Fear is a sign of spiritual weakness. Jacob was on a low spiritual realm. Hallelujah.
Jacob prepares to meet his brother, thinking that it is possible that not only will his brother kill him, but that his brother will kill his wives and his entire household. Jacob is a very rich man. He has households, a great household, many goods, many animals, and many sons, and servants, and he is returning home afraid to meet his brother. Now, the spiritual application here is that even though he is still a natural man, he has the spiritual promise, and to return unto the father he has to get pass the natural man. He has to get past his brother who was a natural man, and he is terrified. What he does is he cries out to God, and it is wonderful to know that no matter how poor our character is, no matter how weak we are, no matter how far we have fallen, we can always cry out to God, and that is very reassuring because some of us have fallen, including me, I am the chief of sinners. Hallelujah.
This is what happened to Jacob, he was terrified. He had, had a horrendous experience. He had to work all those years to get his wife. He was cheated and tricked into marrying his wife's sister, and he found himself in a difficult situation where his first wife desired him and craved after him, but he desired his second wife. There was competition in his household, there was competition among his sons, there was great strife in his life, but he was heading home back unto God, and in great fear of his life, he had an encounter with the living God.
We will try and understand what Genesis, Chapter 32, is saying to us, and we are starting at Verse 24. "And Jacob was left alone and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day." Well the word, "left" is pretty much as it sounds. He was left or he remained alone. Along means, "apart." He was separated, he had separated himself from his wives and his entire household. He was totally by himself hoping that Esau, if he did see fit to kill him, would have mercy on the other members of his household and let them go alive. He separated himself from them, but it is really much deeper than that. He is also separated from God. Hallelujah.
The Hebrew word, translated "wrestled" means to float away as a vapor of light particles, such as dust or powder. It can also mean, to grapple or wrestle, and the reason we get the translation, wrestling, is that when you wrestle, dust is raised. When you wrestle on the ground, dust is raised. The true meaning of the word is dust, and when I studied this in my Gesenius Lexicon, the author comments that it is really unusual that this word would be translated wrestled, and he gives some abstract explanation for it which did not make any sense to me at all because no one can understand why the translators used this word. They were just trying to make sense out of this Chapter. Glory to God.
Jacob was left alone, and there was a man of dust. Now, to float away as a vapor, a light particle, such as dust or powder....now we know that man is made of dust, and when God created Adam He formed him under great pressure. If you study that out in the beginning of Genesis when God formed Adam out of the dust of the earth, He exerted great pressure to form Adam into a solid mass. We have had recent teachings about the lowering of the creation into this realm of appearance, whereby he became thick and solid. This is not our natural state. God does not intend man to remain thick and solid. We are a fallen creation, and when we are elevated again, as was the case with the original creation, he was not thick and solid. When Jesus was glorified He walked through doors, He appeared and He reappeared because His substance that His body was made of was not thick and solid. He had been turned into a spiritual liquid, and we know that chemistry tells us, that the elements are never really destroyed, but they can change form. They can be gas, they can be a liquid, or they can be solid.
When the creation fell, the highest point that the creation was at, was gas. That is the highest form of the creation. We liken it to gas, in that it can move freely about, and it is not impeded by walls or solid objects. During the lowering, we become liquid, and then eventually man became solid. Well, we are going backwards again, and this has a spiritual application. We are in the bodies that we are in, the equivalent of being in a solid state. We are being returned to a gaseous state where we can float off in the air. We can take this body anywhere, we can do anything we want with it, and we can put it in any form. The Scripture tells us that Jesus appeared on the road to Emmaus in another form. He was capable of taking many forms in His glorified body which was no longer thick and solid. It had become gaseous, and He would do anything that He wanted with it.
We know that with regard to liquids and gases, when we want it to take shape, we put it in a vessel, and it takes the form of the vessel that we put it in. We can put a liquid or a gas in here, and it will take the form of the container. Well, God is giving us a body, that we can put into any form for whatever purpose. I cannot even tell you what purpose it is going to be for, but we know that one purpose will be to walk through walls. When Jesus entered into the room after His glorification, He appeared just as a man. He said, touch me, put your fingers in my wounds, but when He wanted to leave, without opening the door by His own will, He converted into a gaseous state and passed through the wall. This is what we are being called to.
Now this man, we are told, that was wrestling with Jacob was a man that was made of vapor or light particles such as dust or powder. He was a bedusted one, he was a man who was in a gaseous form, he was a man of a high spiritual order, and he was not solid. I would like to read to you as a reference, the Book of Nahum, Chapter 1, Verse 3, which says, "The Lord is slow to anger and great in power and will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet." The clouds are the dust of His feet.
Now the Hebrew word, translated, "clouds," this particular word, there is more than one Hebrew word translated clouds. This word means, "the thundercloud," the big dark cloud that covers the whole sky. It is sometimes called the Nimbus, and Webster's definition of Nimbus is, of course, thundercloud, and then he goes on to say, "a luminous vapor, cloud or atmosphere, about a god or goddess when on earth, a cloud or atmosphere about a person or thing, an indication as of a circle of radiant light or glory about the head of a drawing or sculptured divinity, saint or sovereign."
Well, we know all about that demonic stuff that we see in the paintings, but it is typifying something. A cloud from which rain is falling, the rain cloud which is of uniform grayness and extends over the entire sky. What we are saying here is that the Nimbus or the thundercloud covers the entire sky. Only God could cover the entire sky, and He is filled with vapor that is about to rain out upon His people. We know that the Lord tells us, that He will come to us as the rain, yea as the former rain, and as the latter rain. He is going to pour Himself out upon us, and this atmosphere, this cloud, this glory, that came forth that wrestled with Jacob, I am suggesting to you was Christ coming forth in Jacob. He was the seed of the Living God that was with Jacob from birth, that manifested forth because the Lord said, "I desire to speak to you." God was with him, and He proceeded forth from within the very spiritual life of Jacob, and He did not wrestle with him according to this.
Jacob was left alone from his party, and there appeared a bedusted, or a vaporized, or a spiritual man which was with him, until the breaking of the day. Hallelujah. First of all, I have the word, "man" for you. I have an Alternate Translation for that. The clouds are the spiritual life of God manifesting in man. Now, there are several words translated as man. We have spoken about man a lot recently, and this is Strong's #376, which is from an unused root which means to be extant. Since I did not know what extant means, I looked that up in Webster's, and it told me that it means, "standing out or above, currently existing, not destroyed or lost, a man of virile age, a manly man," and I am suggesting to you that this was Christ in Jacob. He was standing out from the thickness of his natural body. Remember, we have had teachings that the mountains are the spiritual life that project forth from within us.
Some of you may not have heard this tape yet, but our spiritual life dwells within this body. Our physical life is restricted by the body. Our organs, our heart, our lungs, cannot come out from this body without it killing us, and if we lose blood it is not a healthy condition. Our physical life is contained by this body, but our spiritual life is not contained by this body. Our spiritual life emanates out through our body, and sometimes it is seen. In the Occult it is called an aura, but there is a spiritual reality. It is right here in the Bible. There is a glory that can come forth from a man. It came forth from Peter, and when it fell upon people that he was passing by, they were healed. The glory of God permeated his flesh and his skin, and it went before him. There is no time or space in the realm of the spirit. If you are interested we have a tape where this is really explained. It is really interesting. God told us that the mountains in the Scripture are the projecting spiritual life, and that the hills are the top of our vessels here. Hallelujah. There is projecting spiritual life that permeates through our skin. Our skin does not restrict the spiritual life that is rooted in our soul. Glory to God.
This was a man that was within Jacob, and He was standing out from him, and He was not destroyed. He was a male, He was virile, He had a manly mind, and we know that, outside of Christ, we are all female, so, there was something inside of Jacob that was male, and not only was He male, but He was male in His mind. God has been teaching us in recent weeks, that everything that is spiritual that is going on is in our minds. It is in our minds. There was a virile, manly man in the mind of Jacob, that had been lying dormant from birth, and He emanated forth from him until the breaking of the day. Hallelujah.
In Judges 13:6, 8, I have a reference for you. "Then the woman came and told her husband saying, a man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible, but I asked him not whence he was and neither told me his name."
This Hebrew word that is translated "angel" is the same Hebrew word that is used here. He said, "The man of God came unto me." It is the same Hebrew word, Strong's #376, and this is Samson's mother acknowledging that this man was an angel. What Jacob is dealing with here is the angel of the Lord that is coming forth from within his very being, and He was there until the breaking of the day. The "breaking" means "the rising," and the "day" means "the sun or the morning." He was there until the morning rose upon Jacob, and we know that when Jesus Christ enters into our heart we enter into a new day. He is the new age, He is the age of the Kingdom. Glory to God. Hallelujah. All life, eternal life, the life of the ages, is in Christ. We have to get into Christ, not die and fly away. We have to get into Christ who is in our minds. We are now two men, fallen adam and Christ, and we have to move into the life of Christ that is within our very mind. Glory to God, and that is the new day.
We are told here that Jacob was separated from his company, and there was a vaporized man of a high spiritual realm with him until the new day broke in Jacob. The new day broke in Jacob. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Christ was revealed in him. This expression "was with him" is very interesting. I am fascinated by it. I know in Genesis, in the account of the Serpent seducing Eve and she ate, and then the Scripture says, "And she gave to her husband with her." I have done a study on that expression "with her," and it means they were together, this close. To me, this is another witness that the angel was manifesting out of the thick, dark, lowered natural body of Jacob. He came forth from the deep recesses of this being. He was there all the time. Glory to God.
I have a reference for you in Isaiah 14:12, "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning." That is the same Hebrew expression "until the breaking of the day."
Hosea 6:3. "His going forth is prepared as the morning, and he shall come unto us as the rain."
That is the same Hebrew expression used in the Scripture we are studying. Hosea 10:15 says, "In the morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off." This is talking about an evil king of Israel that shall utterly be cut off, when the Day Star rises in our hearts. The fallen adamic nature shall indeed be utterly cut off. Glory to God. Isaiah 8:20, "There is no light in them," and that is the same Hebrew expression "the dawning of the day." They are without Christ. Isaiah 58:8, "Then shall thy light break forth as the morning." Hallelujah. The new age. Glory to God. We have an Alternate Translation. I will read the King James, and I will give you the Alternate Translation.
Genesis 32:24, King James. "And Jacob was left alone and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day."
Alternate Translation. - "And Jacob was left alone and a bedusted, vaporized, spiritual man was with him and came forth from him, standing out from him, until the new day or the life of God appeared in him." Hallelujah. Glory to God.
Verse 25, "And when he saw that he prevailed not against him he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint as he wrestled with him."
The Hebrew word translated "prevailed" means "to master something difficult," and the Hebrew word translated "touched" means "to lay the hand to." It could mean "to lie with a woman, to reach into and violate." God is showing us that He refers to spiritual intercourse very frequently, but the King James' writers rejected that translation, but that is what this word "touched" means. It can mean "sexual intercourse, to reach in, to violate, to lay the hand to." There are more definitions which would indicate a spiritual intercourse than to merely touch.
Isaiah 6:7, "This hath touched thine lips and thine iniquity is taken away." Well, surely our iniquity cannot be taken away by a carnal touching of the lips. Something spiritual happened to Jacob or happened between Jacob and the angel. 1 Samuel 10:26 says, "And a band of men whose hearts God had touched." This is the same Hebrew word "touched" used to express a spiritual communication or confrontation between God and man. Leviticus 5:3 says, "Or if he touched the uncleanness of man, that man shall be defiled." We know that we cannot be defiled by touching something. It has to penetrate us, it has to enter into us, any germs in it has to penetrate our body to be defiled. When we say that the angel touched Jacob, it is much more than a casual surface touching. Glory to God.
The Hebrew word translated "hollow" means "that which is curved or hollow," and it refers to a socket or a hollow vessel. I would like to remind you of a study that we did in The Seduction of Eve in the Song of Solomon 5:4. Let me read that to you. The Song of Solomon, Chapter 5, Verse 4, "My beloved put his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved to him." It is basically the same expression. This is referring to a spiritual seduction of Eve by the Satanic realm within her. The Scripture expresses it by saying, "The Serpent put his hand by the hole," and "of the door" is added by the King James translation. It is not there. He put his hand, he put his communication with her by the opening, by the spiritual opening. However, it is in the spiritual realm, we do not really know. "And my bowels or my reproductive parts responded to him." That is the spiritual seduction of Eve by the Satanic realm, and we have the same expression here, and I am suggesting to you that the angel that rose up from within the life and the mind of Jacob, touched him, he lay with him as a woman, and that they did, indeed, have spiritual intercourse, and that he became xxxxx. Hallelujah.
The Hebrew word translated 'thigh" can mean "reproductive parts," and in Numbers 5:12-31, (I do not think I will read the whole thing,) but there is something in the Book of Numbers, and it is called the law of jealousy. I am not going to read it, but you can check it out later if you want. There is a provision for a jealous husband in the Levitical law that if he suspects that his wife has committed adultery, he can be in sin with God by, either hurting the man or hurting the woman or sinning against her, without a cause. God made a provision in the Levitical law, and what this man does is, he brings his wife to the priest, and he says, "I suspect that my wife has committed adultery," and the priest sits her down, (we also had a study on this too.) This is a legitimate spiritual realm. He made some motions over her, and he touched her, and he passed his hands over her, and he made up a potion, and he took some water and he put dust in it, and he made the woman to drink it. He pronounced an oath upon it as she drank it. We do not do things like that any more in God. We are elevated to a higher spiritual realm, and (on a prior tape), we likened this to witchcraft.
We explained that, of course, it is illegal when it is witchcraft, but that, this whole concept of pronouncing oaths, and drinking potions, and making motions with your hands, is a valid spiritual realm in which God once moved, but we are in a higher spiritual realm right now, and this poor woman has to drink this potion, and the oath that the priest pronounced upon her was that if you did, indeed, commit adultery, may your reproductive parts rot. A lot of people do not understand God. They read the Old Testament, and they say, "Oh how terrible, they stone people without mercy, look at what this poor woman had to do." What God is saying here is that if this woman did indeed commit adultery, that there was an evil spirit of adultery in her, and in the Old Covenant there was no way to get it out, except by killing her.
With regard to this time, God did not kill her, but with regard to other crimes such as murder or whatever the judgment for stoning was, the reason God said "stone them" was to preserve the entire race of Israel. He did not want this curse and this evil spirit to continue in future generations, and with regard to the adulterous woman, if she were indeed adulterous, He would remove from her the ability to reproduce. She could not pass this weakness in her character on to her offspring. This poor woman, if she was innocent, had to submit to it and have this priest make motions over her and say, "If she is indeed adulterous may her reproductive parts rot." The Hebrew word that is used for reproductive parts is the same word that is translated "thigh" in Genesis Chapter 32, Verse 25.
When we read that the angel touched Jacob's thigh, we are talking about Jacob's spiritual reproductive part which is his mind. Paul said," Gird up the loins of your mind." We reproduce in our mind. Hallelujah. Glory to God. The Hebrew word translated "rot" means "to fall away, to emaciate," and the purpose was that she could not bear children and pass on this weakness in her character. Now, the Hebrew word translated "joint" means "to be alienated in your mind." Makes you wonder how the King James' writers got this translation at all. It means, to be alienated in your mind. Alienated from whom? Alienated from God. Ezekiel 23:17 says, "And her mind was alienated from them." This is the same word as "joint," being used in a different application. Jeremiah 6:8, "Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee." It is the same word translated joint, and God is speaking about withdrawing His spirit from the mind or alienating Himself from the mind of Israel, because the mind is indeed the soul.
Now, we have another translation for the word "wrestled." It is used again in Verse 25, "And when he saw that he prevailed not against him he touched the hollow of his thigh or his reproductive part, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was alienated, and he wrestled with him." There was one more definition in Webster's for wrestle, and that is translated "grappled," and it means "a small anchor with 4 or 5 flukes or cords, used to fasten an enemy ship along side, before boarding it." Glory to God. I am going to read Verse 25 and give you an Alternate Translation. King James, "And when he saw that he prevailed not against him he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, and he wrestled with him." Alternate Translation. -"And when the angel saw that he could not master Jacob, he humbled him." That word "humbled" throughout the Scriptures is used to indicate sexual intercourse. When a man sleeps with a woman, she is humbled. This is all throughout the first five books of Moses. You can check it out for yourself.
Let me start again. Verse 25, "And when the angel saw that he could not master Jacob, (he was putting up some fight of rebellion,) he humbled him, he slept with him, he had intercourse with him, he obtained him for himself, and Jacob's reproductive parts were alienated from the fallen adamic realm. He was alienated in his mind from his carnal ways, and the angel drew Jacob near in preparation for the joining, Glory to God, for the joining of the spirit of God to the soul of men. They are going to become one. Amen.
First, we receive the Holy Spirit, and He fertilizes our human spirit which brings forth Christ. When Christ appears in us, He marries our soul, and they become one. Christ had appeared in Jacob, but He had not yet married him, so He drew near to him in preparation for the marriage. Verse 26, "And he said let me go for the day breaks, and I will not let thee go except thou bless me." Now the Hebrew word translated "go" means "to release or dismiss," but it also means "to give in marriage." It also means "to deliver up unto someone's power," and it can also be translated "to be let down into a dungeon, to cast down, or divorce a wife." How interesting. It can mean to give in marriage, to divorce, to be raised up or to be cast down.
Jeremiah 38:6 says, "And they let Jeremiah down into the dungeon with cords." That is the same Hebrew word translated "go." Revelation 20, Verses 1-3, "And I saw an angel come down from heaven having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand, and he laid hold on the Dragon, that old Serpent which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up and set a seal upon him that he should deceive the nations no more." Glory to God.
I am suggesting to you that the angel of God cast the Satanic realm in Jacob, down into the pit, and he bound him there. Glory to God. He put him underfoot and took authority over him. The Hebrew word translated "bless" means "to bow the knee, to kneel, to submit to God." Now, I do not know about you, but when I read a lot of these Scriptures, the pronoun is not clear who God is talking about, whether it is talking about Jacob or He is talking about the angel. I am going to read this verse to you so that we can understand it. Now remember, bless means to bow down. When I read here "And He blessed him," I assumed that the angel blessed Jacob, but here I am told, that the word bless means, to bow down. The angel could not have bowed down to Jacob. It had to be Jacob bowing down to the angel. Glory to God.
Isaiah 45:23 says, "Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall swear." That is the same word "bless." I will read Verse 26 in the King James, then I will give you the Alternate Translation. "And he said, Let me go for the day breaks, and he said, I will not let thee go except thou bless me." Alternate Translation - "And the angel said, be delivered into my power, be divorced from the carnal mind, be cast down Satanic soul realm into the pit because the new age of the Kingdom of God has risen in the heart of this man. And the angel said, further, I will not only cast you down and put you underfoot, but I shall not marry you, unless you submit to me or lay down your soul life and go underfoot, but I intend to marry you, but you must first submit to me and lay down your soul life and go underfoot. (Glory to God) And further, I will not marry you unless or until you submit to me." Glory to God. Hallelujah.
2 Peter Chapter 1, Verse 16, "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables when we made known unto you the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye witnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father, honor and glory, when there came such a voice to Him from the excellent glory, this is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven, we heard when we were with Him in the Holy mount. We have also, a more sure word of prophecy, whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn and the Day Star arise in your hearts." Glory to God. I am suggesting to you that the Day Star arose in the heart of Jacob, a light shines in the dark place of his soul, and the day dawns, and the Day Star, the Living Christ, arose in his heart and demanded submission of the carnal realm, in order that he might marry him. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
The Hebrew word translated "dawn" means "to glimmer through." It is what we would know in English as the breaking of the day. I am still in 2 Peter 1. But the word "Day Star" is a totally different word than the dawn. It is from the Greek word, "phosphorus," and it is from the English word, "phosphorus, luminescent," and it means "to shine or to make manifest, especially by rays, luminous," and it sounds just like the angel that appeared in him. He is going to become just like the angel, and then they will become one. He is going to become a vaporized spiritual man also. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
We are now in Genesis 32, Verse 27, "And he said to him, what is thy name and he said Jacob," Jacob means "usurper," and we spoke about this earlier. The natural man, Jacob, was a thief on a very low spiritual realm, without a high moral character, and his name described what he was. But the angel said to him in Verse 28, "And he said, thy name shall be called no more Jacob but Israel; for as a prince, thou hast power with God and with men and hath prevailed." The Hebrew word translated "Israel" means "he will rule as God," and we know that we are being made as God. In our ultimate state, we will be as God, but we will not be the natural, wicked, carnal man, running around wielding the power of God.
God is changing us, He is catching us up. He is giving unto us of His righteousness, of His character, of His spiritual strength and His morality first, and then we get power with God. The Hebrew word translated "power" means "to place in a row, to set in order, to be a leader, a commander or to wage war with anyone." He has power with God. He is being placed in order with Satan underfoot. Glory to God.
The Hebrew word translated "prince" means "to be an exalted one, a rising mist, or a vapor." Again, we are speaking about the elevation of the soul from a liquid state to a gaseous state, the highest realm you can go to. The Hebrew word translated "men" is different than the one we studied earlier. This is Strong's #582, and it means "mortal man." Jacob shall have power with God and with mortal men. The Hebrew word translated "prevailed" means "to be made able lawfully." Now, we have a lot of people in the world today that are spiritually able, but the powers that they are wielding is witchcraft. It is illegal, God hates it, and it will be dealt with in due season. Jacob was made able. He received spiritual power lawfully. As we just said, God increased his spiritual character and his nature, and gave him spiritual and moral strength and righteousness before He gave him power. Law, spiritual power, is to be a master of anything difficult. It is the word "prevailed."
Genesis 32, Verse 28 in the King James, "And he said, thy name shall be called no more Jacob but Israel for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men and has prevailed." Alternate Translation. - "Thou shall no longer be a natural man Jacob, for as one who has become a spiritual man, you have been set in order." We have a whole tape on that. He was made a leader, a commander, capable of waging war both in the realm of God and in the realm of the soul. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
Genesis 32, Verse 29, "And Jacob asked him and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name, and he said, wherefore is it that thou doest ask after my name and he blessed him there." The Hebrew word translated "bless" is a greeting in the Old Testament. In the Hebrew, it is used when you come into a room, or when you leave a room. You say "God bless you," or "be blessed." That is all that it means. In the Book of Titus, Chapter 2, Verse 11, we are told, "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men." The Hebrew word translated "tell" means "to explain an enigma or a dream." It is not just, "tell me your name." Jacob wanted to know the mystery of this spiritual man. Who are you? What is this all about? Where did you get your power to do what you did in my life? Jacob wanted to know spiritual mysteries, he wanted to know spiritual truth, and we know there is only one way to get spiritual truth and that is from God, but the angel rejected him. He would not tell him.
Romans 16:25-26, "Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, (Paul preaching) and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest and made known to all nations for the obedience of faith." The spiritual mysteries of God were not available to all men under the Old Covenant. I believe there were men that did partake of the mysteries, the priests, isolated men, but now at the end of the age, it is available to all men. Glory to God. Hallelujah. For the obedience of faith is the purpose for it. When we understand the mystery, it is for the obedience of the faith.
The Greek word "obedience" means "to heed or command or conform to a command or authority." Faith means "the conviction of the truth," so, we are told the secret of the mysteries. We are told the answer to the riddle, so that we can receive the righteousness of Jesus Christ, not to go out and use it to have our own needs met. Glory to God. We are to become like Christ, Hallelujah, for the purpose of conforming to the truth of God, and Jesus is the truth. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."
Genesis 32,Verse 29, King James, "And Jacob asked him and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name, and he said wherefore is it that thou doest ask after my name and he blessed him there." Alternate Translation. -"And Jacob said, tell me the mystery of your spirit, and the angel said, The mystery is sealed until a later time, and he greeted him and departed." Glory to God. He would not tell him.
Verse 30, "And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel. For I have seen God face-to-face, and my life is preserved." The Hebrew word, translated "preserved" means "to snatch away, to pluck out, to pull apart, to deliver out of the hands of anyone, to strip ones self of anything." Glory to God. "And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, for I have seen God face-to- face and my life is preserved." That face-to-face means confrontation with God. Alternate Translation. - "I have seen God face-to-face. I have had a confrontation with God, and I have been separated from the soul realm." Glory to God. Hallelujah.
Verse 31, "And he passed over Penuel and as he passed over Penuel, the sun arose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh." Now, the Hebrew word translated "halt" could mean "lean," but it is from the root word that is translated "rib," in Adam's rib. "And God took of Adam's rib and made a woman." It is that same word, and it really means one-sided. What it means is that God crippled him, and he made him one-sided. He took part of that soul realm away. He took away his reproductive parts in the soul realm. The Greek word translated "upon" means "can devote motion unto or toward." It denotes motion. "And he passed over Penuel and as he passed over Penuel, the sun rose upon him and he halted upon his thigh." Alternate Translation. - "And as he was confronted by and began to see God, the Christ began to emerge within him, and he leaned toward his reproductive part or upon the Christ emerging from his reproductive parts." Glory to God.
Verse 32, "Therefore the children of Israel, eat not of the sinew which shrank which is upon the hollow of the thigh unto this day because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank." I do not know about you, but I read this for years, and I really thought there was some religious ritual that the Jews kept, that they did not eat of some thigh, but I could not find it anywhere in the Scriptures that there is a religious ritual or a feast in which the Jews will not eat of a sinew that shrank. I could not find it anywhere in the Concordance so let us try and find out what this means. The Hebrew word translated "sinew" means "a compressing thong, something that holds in," or it could mean "a tendon," and it is from a root word that means "to crowd upon or attack or assembled troop." It is troop pressing in upon him and holding him in place. We know that when we are a natural man that our soul is just filled with all the works of darkness, and they press in upon us, and they affect our conscience. Sometimes they cause us to do things that we would choose not to do. Paul talks about that in Romans 7 and 8. Glory to God.
The Hebrew word translated "shrank" means "a nerve or tendon which passes through the thigh and legs to the ankles," and it comes from a sense of failure. It means "to be crippled." That is what it means, to be crippled. It is from a root that means "to deprive, to be deprived, to be neglected," and it could mean to "exact taxes." So you are deprived because some one exacted taxes from you. It is not a very positive word.
Verse 32, "Therefore, the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank which is upon the hollow of the thigh unto this day because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank."
Alternate Translation - "Therefore, the children of Israel are no longer joined to the enemy troops in their soul, which previously crippled them and deprived them of spiritual life, which exist in the reproductive parts of their minds unto this day, because the angel penetrated Jacob's reproductive part, had spiritual intercourse with him in the very same place of the mind, where Jacob had been held captive and prevented him from keeping the law and he thus saw God." In the very same place where he had spiritual intercourse with Satan which produced the troops that kept him captive and prevented him from keeping the law of God, in that very same place the Spirit of God entered in, had spiritual intercourse with him, came forth and defeated all the enemies in the soul. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
We have a witness to that in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 12. The Scripture is talking about the Manchild being born, and down in Verse 7, now, this is right after the Manchild was born, and the Scripture says that there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the Dragon, and the Dragon fought against his angels and prevailed not. Neither was their place found in heaven any more and the great Dragon was cast out, that old Serpent called the Devil. Glory to God. Christ comes forth right in the midst of enemy territory. He goes right in there, and is born right in the midst of all the demons and starts kicking them out and purifying our souls. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Thank you Jesus.
In Chapter 33 of Genesis, we find out that Jacob survived his encounter with the natural man. Esau typifies his own natural man, and he overcomes, he has been given favor with his brother, and he goes forward as one that is having power and prevailing in the realm of God and in the realm of men. I would like to wind it down with a few Scriptures in 2 Peter Chapter 1, Verses 2-11, "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord according as His divine power has given us all things that pertain unto life and Godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue; whereby, are given unto us exceeding and great precious promises that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." Glory to God.
2 Peter, Verse 9, "But he that lacketh these things, the things that come forth from the spirit of God, is blind, and cannot see afar off and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins; wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to your new calling and election for sure. For if you do these things you shall never fall, for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." Glory to God. We are, indeed, called to these precious promises that we might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world, of the lust of the soul, and it is only by the birth of Jesus Christ, in our individual reproductive parts that we shall be delivered out of the age of darkness, which is in our minds, into the age of the Kingdom of God. Hallelujah.
COMMENT: How would you classify them, they are not Christians...(comments indistinguishable) ..what about those that are going through all the....people who are not believers....and a member of the family is dying of cancer. If we as Christians say, "Well, the Lord is going to touch them," so how would you classify that?
PASTOR VITALE: Well, I personally believe.... well, I know you have heard some of my tapes that everybody is not incarnated at the express will of God, and those that are incarnated with the life of Christ in them; yet, it may not be their time to be called forth into an active life in Christ, that the soul realm just rises up and tries to destroy them, and in many instances they are in mental institutions, and they are dying of cancer, and there are people out there that have just mastered this soul realm. They are healthy, they are wealthy, they are prosperous, they are doing fine because the soul realm has not risen up against them. I work in Manhattan, and there are a lot of derelicts, and they just sleep on the street. There was one man when I first moved into Manhattan, I looked at him and I do not even remember what I thought, but God said to me, "That is a Son of God." He said to me, "You see him now? He is utterly overtaken at this moment, but that is a Son of God," and God anointed me to pray a very powerful prayer for him.
COMMENT: I believe that. I believe that each one is going through, in the place they are, whether they know the Lord or not.
PASTOR VITALE: Yes, they are going through it anyway. Yes I agree. They may not even know who they are. Did you know you were a Son of God before God called you? I did not know I was a Son of God before God called me, so how do we know what God is doing in their life. I went through Hell before God called me, and my whole life prepared me to receive the Lord and to be where I am today because I do not think that you can give up everything. You do not really know me, but I really lost a lot, I have given up a lot, I have lost a lot, a lot was taken from me. Most people could not bear it, but God has used it to draw me close to Him, but most people could not survive what I have been through. There is a purpose for it, but I believe that God is calling forth a First-Fruits Company, that we are still in preparation, that we are still in training, and when we stand up in spiritual power, we are going into the mental institutions, and we are going to get these people out.
We did a study and, at the moment, I cannot remember the name of the tape, and God showed us that what He is really saying in that Scripture is that there are people in the earth today that have the seed of Christ, but some are stronger than others, and when the sound of the trump goes, and we are caught up in the air with the others, what is happening is that those that have showed spiritual strength in this life, like you and me, we are in Christ, and we are overcoming, and we are walking with the Lord, that we are going to get caught up right with the ones that were overtaken. They are coming too, so do not despise the weak ones.

Prayer for various ones: Father, in the Name of Jesus, we just bless this woman, Oh God, that you have called to this high ministry in Christ, Father. I just thank you for her and thank you for knowing her, Father. I just pray that you bring her through, Oh God, that you give her everything that she needs to come forth in the image of Christ, that she should be as God, and that it should not be called a sin, Oh God, but that she should manifest your glory, and that it should stand up and stand out from her, Oh God, and that You indeed project forth from her, Oh God, and that your words and your oracles should be spoken, and that the power of your spirit should be known, Oh God, that she should indeed receive the fulness of the promise, Oh Lord, and that all of her labor and all the travail should not have been in vain, Oh God, but that you should indeed be glorified in her. Hallelujah. And that great miracles should be done through her hands, Oh God, by the power of your spirit. Glory to God, and that she should indeed partake of the greater work, that she should bring forth Christ in her, and that she should indeed be a part of the First-Fruit Company, yea, indeed the two witnesses that shall shortly rise up in the earth, Glory to God, in whom You shall be revealed. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

Father, do it Oh God in this group that you have gathered for this anointing, Father. We knew something special was going to happen tonight, Oh God, with all the opposition coming against her. Bless this woman, Oh God, bring forth your spirit, raise up in great power, project forth from her, Oh God, put your oracles in her mouth and your healing power in her hands. Yea, may the spirit of life be imparted unto you, two witnesses, Oh God. Bring them forth. Manifest in them Oh God that they might rise up in the face of all that have persecuted them. Hallelujah, that the spirit of fear shall enter into all those that have been against them. Glory to God. That they shall ascend into the heavenlies in the sight of those that have given gifts upon their demise. A special word for this one, Oh God.
