Yea, saith God, even in this hour the consolidation of the ministries is near at hand, saith God, yea I shall complete this work, saith God, in accordance with my mind and my will, saith the Lord, yea it shall indeed be accomplished saith God, and I shall bless and I shall curse not, for indeed I have found faith in Israel, saith the Lord, and I have found obedience, saith God, and this thing shall come to pass, and upon the completion of the joining, saith God, indeed I shall pour out a great anointing upon this ministry, saith the Lord, and I shall increase it, saith God, and they shall come from the north and from the south and from the east and from the west, and it shall grow, saith God, and indeed my spirit shall wax mighty through it, saith the Lord, and this word shall spread, saith God, for indeed I shall open the hearts of men to hear it. For, indeed, they cannot hear unless I open their hearts. And I shall bring it, and it shall come, and judgment shall come with it, saith God, and there shall be a mighty outcry upon the land, saith the Lord, yea and I shall bring forth repentance, saith God, yea my word shall bring forth repentance. And with that repentance great deliverance, and my son shall rise up in the hearts of many, saith God, and those that will not repent, the judgment shall fall mightily, saith God, and if they will not repent even unto their destruction and their death.
Praise the Lord everybody. The Lord has named this message, All Ye Adulterers & Adulteresses. Hallelujah, in this hour the Lord is calling his people to repentance, and, as you all know, we cannot repent if we do not know what our sins are. And he's been telling me for a while now that we are all adulteresses and adulterers in our mind, and what that means is that we are copulating with the wrong spirit, with the wrong spirit, and I remind you that one act of adultery does not make you an adulterer.
So for the Lord to call us adulterers and adulteresses, it means that we are copulating on a regular basis with the spirit of this world.
We're opening with II Cor. 11:2, "For I am jealous over you with Godly jealousy, for I have espoused you to one husband that I might present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear lest by any means as the Serpent beguiled Eve through his subtleties so your mind should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit which ye have not received or another gospel which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him, or you might well stay with that other spirit." Glory to God.
Paul is warning us here, is warning us and reminding us, that we have been espoused to the Lord. There is a wedding coming, brethren. The Lord Jesus Christ wants to marry us, but he will not marry someone who is not a virgin. And we've recently talked about virgins in our studies in the Book of Revelation, and we found out that the reason the Lord Jesus Christ is never late is that he has the power to undo every ungodly thing.
I heard that preached for years, Jesus Christ is never late, and the first time I heard it, I said, "I don't understand that, because I have this problem and I have that problem, and I have this problem, and look at what's happened to me."
Well, the whole point is that the Lord Jesus Christ is not trapped in this realm of time which continuously goes forward, goes forward, goes forward. He can go backwards in that he can undo any ungodly thing that has happened to us.
Some of you may be familiar with the Scripture in the Old Testament where Hezekiah asked for some extra time to live, and the Lord agrees and the Scripture says, And Hezekiah's sun dial was set back, the Lord set back Hezekiah's sun dial, and I read that for years and I thought that this carnal contraption probably made of stone that was outside of Hezekiah's house moved backwards. No, brethren, no. The Lord went into Hezekiah's spiritual being, that part of his spiritual being that has determined or that indicates God's determination of how long Hezekiah was going to live on the earth. From the day he incarnated as a baby, there was something inside of him, He came forth with a sun dial, a part of his spiritual being that indicated how long he had to live in this lifetime, and the Lord adjusted that. He set back his sun dial so that his life span, his generation in this earth, would last longer.
God is a spirit brethren. He works in the realm of the spirit. Everything that we see happen in the realm of appearance is merely a result of what God has done in the spirit. Jesus Christ is going to marry us but not until we have become virgins again. We're all corrupted, we're corrupted by the spirit of this world with whom we fornicate daily, including me, and we're waiting for the glorious process by which the Lord Jesus Christ will separate us from our husband Satan.
Look at that. We're engaged to marry Jesus, and we're still married to Satan. Boy, this would make some soap opera. Jesus is breaking every rule that man...that has been set up for mankind to live by. Just as when he appeared 2,000 years ago, he broke all the rules of the Levitical law. He is God, he is God.
So we are espoused to one God. His name is the Lord Jesus Christ. Before the marriage can take place, we must become chaste virgins, we must stop copulating with the spirit of this world. Paul says he fears that as the Serpent beguiled Eve, originally, back at the beginning of time, as we found out in our Number 2 tape, The Seduction Of Eve, the unconscious mind of man, Satan beguiled or seduced the innocent human spirit and married her. And she has been fornicating with him or copulating with him ever since producing his offspring, the carnal mind, and the result of that is that the creation has appeared in the realm of appearance.
That must stop, brethren, and Paul is saying that he's afraid that we are going to continue to be deceived in this matter. And the result of that deception.... and what is the deception?
That we think we're in agreement with Christ but, in reality, we're in agreement with the spirit of this world. That is the deception. I think most Christians desire to follow Christ, but there are very few of them that are. Unless I'm mistaken, the ones that I know are in outright rebellion. They're deceived, they think they hear from the Lord and they're hearing from their own unconscious mind, Satan, who is their husband. And Paul says, I'm afraid that this procedure is going to continue in your minds, and that the result of that procedure, Verse 3, is that your minds are corrupted from the simplicity that is Christ. I'm not going to get into that word "simplicity" tonight because this is not....I'm not teaching, I'm preaching tonight, but I don't believe that word "simplicity" is what it sounds like.
What Paul is saying here is that if you stop joining with Christ in your mind or if you're deceived into joining with Satan in your mind, the result is corruption, and corruption brings forth death. Brethren, we are in hell now. This life is hell, and it's hell in the flesh, and the way out is by stopping joining our minds with Satan and starting to agree with Christ, and Jesus said, the gates of hell will not prevail against his church. Brethren, this is hell right here, and it's in our mind, and the gates of hell are the forces that cause us to keep agreeing with the satanic mind. Jesus said, they will not prevail. We're going to break through, and we're going to come to a place where we agree with Christ 100% of the time, and, at that point, we shall be changed. In a twinkling, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we shall be translated into heaven. Right here on the earth, in these same bodies, we shall pierce through into a new heretofore unexplored for man realm of the spirit of Almighty God.
And where are we going to meet Jesus? In the air of the spirit of the soul realm brethren. He's coming down from the spirit of God, and we're rising up into the soul of Christ, and there we shall meet the Lord in the air, in the realm of the spirit which is the soul of Christ, the meeting place in the air, a place that's higher than where we are now, and where the human race has been for thousands of years. And we shall be with the Lord forever once we pierce through, brethren, but down here in hell it's pretty tough, and we all fornicate with the carnal mind just about every day of our life.
Verse 4, "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus whom we have not preached or if you receive another spirit which ye have not received from us, or another gospel which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him." He's saying, if you're going to be seduced, if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, who's preaching another Jesus? Well it could be a man, but it also could be a satanic mind preaching to you during the day, when you sleep, and when you read the Bible. He could be giving you false revelation and false understanding, and Paul says that if you receive that other Jesus, if you receive that other spirit, if you receive that other gospel, you might as well stay with him.
What good is Jesus Christ in your life, brethren, if you're believing the other gospel. If you're receiving the other Jesus, if you're receiving the other spirit, Christ is doing you no good at all.
Jesus said in another part of the Scripture, "Ye are the salt of the earth, but if your salt has lost its saltiness what good is it." I pondered over that Scripture for years, brethren, what does it mean? I'll tell you what it means. Christ in you, brethren, is the preservative of your soul. His job is to keep your soul alive. The soul that sinneth, it must die, so if Christ's job is to keep your soul alive, he has to stop you from sinning, brethren. And if you have two souls, if you have Christ, and you have Adam, and you are not joining in your mind with Christ and producing the continuation of Christ in your being, if you are joining in your mind with the Adamic mind, with the Satanic mind, what do you need Christ for? If he's there, and he's not doing his job, what good is he? If he's your preservative, and he's not preserving you from death because you're not listening to him, but you're listening to Satan, what good is he? If he's lost his saltiness what good is he? You might as well throw him out in the garbage which is pretty much what Jesus said in that Scripture.
If he's there and you're not receiving him as your conscience, if he's there and he's not changing your mind, if he's there and he's not changing your behavior, who do you think you're kidding? Your dove pin isn't going to do you one little bit of good. He's come to change you, to change your thinking and then to change your behavior, the end result of which will be you piercing through the gates of hell, which is your Adamic mind, into the mind of Christ where you will no longer have to labor to not let these horrible Adamic thoughts overtake you, and they're not always horrible.
Sometimes they don't seem horrible to the carnal mind, they're just doubt and unbelief, but it doesn't matter. If they're not Christ, you've received the wrong spirit, and let me tell you something, brethren, you're not going to stop thinking with the mind of Satan and start thinking with the mind of Christ without being tormented. How could he do it without your being afflicted? You're not going to do it without paying the price. You're not going to do it without trials, without tribulations.
There's no easy way. Satan's not letting you go. This prosperity doctrine is killing believers, it's destroying them. Why were we created brethren? For God's pleasure. Did you ever hear it preached God was lonely, he wanted company? God is not lonely, and God does not want your company. God wants to live his life through you. He wants you to think his thoughts, and he wants your body to perform the behavior that he wants you to perform. For thousands of years Satan has been in God's place. You've been thinking his thoughts, and your body has been performing the behavior that Satan wants you to perform. This is a warfare, brethren, Jesus has come to take you back from the one that enslaved you at the beginning of time. Hallelujah.
Okay, we're going to pick this up now in James 4, and we're going to do some verses in Chapter 4 and some in, I think we're going to go into Chapter 5. James 4:1, "From whence come wars and fightings amongst you, come they not hence even of your own lusts that war in your members? Ye lust and have not, ye kill and desire to have and cannot obtain, ye fight and war, yet ye have not because ye ask not. You ask and you receive not because you ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lust. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."
Brethren, we have Christians rejecting other human beings, refusing to talk or fellowship with people that they think are in the world. Brethren, that is not what James is talking about. The world, brethren, is the cosmos of your own spiritual being. Ye who are fornicating, ye adulteresses and adulterers that are unfaithful to the Christ within your own mind, that have joined in thought and deed with the world in your own mind, brethren, you are the one that is at enmity with God. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Brethren, it's in your mind. "He who is not for me is against me." Either you're copulating with Christ, or you're committing adultery with the Adamic mind.
There are no two ways about it, no ifs, ands, or buts. The hour is at hand that the Lord is calling us to discern every thought that enters into our mind, and everyone that is not of God must be cast down and rejected, and if we're overtaken we must cry out to God and repent, and ask for deliverance. Friendship with the world, brethren, in your mind makes you God's enemy, and the judgment shall fall upon you if no repentance comes forth. And sometimes the judgment shall fall even if repentance does come forth. If God makes a judgment that a judgment upon you is necessary to break you free from joining with the Adamic mind in this area, the judgment will fall.
God never told us to reject people of other denominations or other religions. You might not want to share in their ungodly behavior, but I'll tell you something, brethren, it's time for the church to wake up, and if the day comes that God sends me into a bar and I know that it's God, I'm going!
I don't believe he'd ever ask me to take a drink. The revelation that I'm walking in now, I don't believe that, but you never know. Paul said, I became all things to all men that by the grace of God I might win a few. Now someone is going to listen to this tape and say, oh Sheila said it's alright to hang out at bars. No, I didn't say that. I said you go where God sends you, brethren, you go where God sends you. And let me tell you something, if you are one of the blessed people that he brings into obedience, he's going to send you a lot of places where a lot of Christians wouldn't go. He's going to send you right down into the pits to drag these people out. He's going to send you to some terrible places, but he will be glorified in your obedience and in any discomfort that you're feeling in your soul. It's time for the church to grow up. Jesus has not called us to reject anybody.
I stopped off for gas the other night, and it was one of these gas stations where you pull up next to a pump, and then you go to pay the money and this man is sealed behind a window, and a woman got there just ahead of me and she paid him the money and she said to him, Oh, I just want to tell you to have a really nice evening, and I want you to know that Jesus loves you. And he was a young fellow behind the glass, and he smiled. You know, I never really heard anybody's nasty when someone says something like that to them, and she turned around, and she says to me, and Jesus loves you too, and I said, thank you.
But brethren, that's all she knows how to do. But, brethren, that's not what Christians are called to do. I won't deny that God can use that, but that's not what we're called to do, brethren. We are called to go to the person that Jesus specifically sends us to, to the person that's crying out to God, to the person that's in need, to the person that needs his help, to the person that he wants to talk to, to the person that he, that Jesus has something to say to, and sometimes those people are in pretty terrible places.
Brethren, God's calling the people in this hour. He's calling them to maturity in Christ; yet, there'll always be some people that will walk into these churches, and there'll always be some people that will respond to your TV programs, but I'm telling you, brethren, there are thousands, if not millions, of people that can't get that far, and God's going to them, right down into the pits of hell to preach the gospel to the dead that are in hell, in these bodies, on this earth.
But he's not sending you, brethren, if you haven't been born into obedience. He's not sending you if you're going to run the minute someone says something that hurts your feelings, and he's not sending you if you're going to run the minute someone scares you. He's sending those people that are going to go in when they're sent, and they're going to stand until they're released, and then they're going to tell these people what Jesus wants them to hear, even though the people are going to rise up, in many instances, like wild venomous beasts and threaten you because they don't want to hear those words. They're going to threaten you, and if it's on the phone they're going to hang up on you. Sometimes they'll ridicule you, the attack will be felt in your being because it will be a spiritual attack.
Paul said he wrestled with wild beasts in Ephesus. That's what he's talking about, brethren, wild beasts in human bodies. This is what we are called to, brethren, this is the true church. Hallelujah. Let's get our eyes on our self and off of other people unless we're specifically sent with a word. Let's get our eyes on our self, let's confess our sins, let's get cleaned up, brethren, so that this move of God can get moving.
Jesus is still out there looking for a hand full of faithful people that are going to be willing to pay the price. Brethren, you're not getting into Jesus' army without paying the price. You're not entering in hanging on to all of your possessions, brethren, and all of your lusts, and all of your dreams, and all of your desires from the soul realm. You're not entering in, brethren. There's a great, great price to be paid, and if you think that you could take all your jewels in with you, you're mistaken, because either the Lord's going to strip you of your possessions without your agreement, or you're just not going to enter in. He's going to let you have it, and he's going to turn away from you. Hallelujah.
And we're told, of course, in the first three verses that if you find yourself in situations where you're fighting and warring and that....of course, there are lusts that war in your own members. It's coming from your carnal mind, and if you're lusting for these things that you're not willing to give up, and you don't have it, maybe God's not giving it to you. You kill and you desire to kill. How do you kill? By hatred, and you still can't get it.
You fight and you war and you lust, and you don't have it because you ask not. Why don't you ask? Because you think that you're going to get it out of your own power, and then finally you get the revelation that maybe you should ask God, and you still don't get it. Why? Because you asked amiss, because you're asking for something that God has no intention of giving you. Why? Because it's going to be a hindrance to your spiritual growth. And don't tell me about Solomon, he died a reprobate man.
Better you should enter into the kingdom without an eye that permits you to lust or without an arm that permits you to gain things by your own power, but enter in. God has one intention for you, brethren. He wants you to enter into the kingdom, and he's going to deny you everything that would oppose that plan if you're one of his.
Verse 5, "Do you think that the Scriptures saith in vain, the spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?" Do you think that's not true, that the spirit of this world lusteth to envy? That it lusts so that it brings you to envy and envy is idolatry? Brethren, God is calling an army in this hour, and he is calling us to give up everything. Now that doesn't mean that we're going to be out living in the jungle. It means that in our hearts we have to be willing to give up everything and take whatever God has for us, whatever ministry he has for us, whatever lifestyle he has for us, whatever trials and tribulations he has for us, whatever job he has for us.
He's calling us in this hour, brethren, to give up our own self desires, just as if you were entering a natural army. You get your orders and you go, and the day before you pull out, you may not even know where you're going. That's what he's calling us to, brethren. I saw a movie once called the Nun Story, and I looked at it and I said, "wow, look at that Nun, you know her heart's desire was set on going to do tropical medicine in the jungle, and they let her go only for a season, and then she didn't get the hospital that she wanted and then they called her back." And at the time I said, "wow you know that's such an unnatural structure, the Roman Catholic church, it's not God running that system." And then God showed me that, yes it's true that it's not God running that system, but when you're subject to the system of God, he does the same thing to you. He sends you where he wants to send you, he puts you in the area of ministry where he decides you should go.
Your desires have nothing to do with it, brethren. A woman called me up on the phone the other night and she said that, she told me, she spoke about something that God's doing in her life, and she said to me "well you know I never intended for him to break this thing off completely, I just wanted it restricted." And I said, "I've got a flash for you, what you wanted never even came into the picture, what you want has nothing to do with it." You can pray, and you can ask, but if your prayer is not in accordance with God's plan for your life, you better believe you're not going to get it. And one quick way to get hurt is to keep trying to get it. Give it up, brethren, give it up.
Just let the Lord direct you. Stop fighting, stop flailing your arms, he is going to bring you into total submission. If he has called you to this, he is going to do it, and the sooner you stop fighting him the better off you'll be. You don't like the church you're in, you don't like the location of the church, you don't like the people in the church, you better go where he sends you, brethren, or you're just taking the long way around.
Five years later, you'll end up in the church where he originally sent you to, after five wasted years, with perhaps some unpleasant experiences in it, in those five years. You worship God, you raise your hands, you sing. That's not worshiping God, brethren. You've got to do what he tells you, and you've got to do it with respect, and with honor, and with humility, and with a humble heart. Not with a rebellious heart because, if you can't do it, he'll have to straighten you out, he'll chasten you because you're a son and not a bastard.
The spirit of this world lends to war. If you're not warring with others, then the war is between you and the Christ within you. You don't have any peace, brethren, you're praying for peace and contentment. Where is your peace? Brethren, your Adamic soul is much too strong. It's waging war against the Christ in you, and if you are in submission to Christ, he's waging war against you because he wants you to listen to him, not to Christ. Hallelujah.
Verse 7, "Therefore submit yourselves to God." You don't want more.... brethren, you don't want any more war. You don't want war with other people, you don't want war in your own soul, you want peace, you want contentment; therefore, submit yourselves to God, stop arguing with him, stop fighting him, stop picking isolated Scriptures out and demanding that they be made a reality in your life, when God may not be doing that right now. Submit yourselves to God, resist the devil, resist your Adamic mind, and Satan who rules it, and he, the satanic mind, shall flee from you.
We found that same Scripture in the book of Revelation recently. Submit yourself to God. You see, it's not enough to resist the Adamic mind. You have to do what God wants you to do, you have to become his servant, you have to become the bond servant of Almighty God and totally under his protection. Submit yourself to the will of God in your life, and that means in every area, brethren. Then you resist the devil, then you resist the satanic mind, and the satanic mind will turn away from you.
Your submission to Almighty God is the greatest weapon that you have against the devil. It's not binding and loosing, it's not breaking curses, it's not deliverance ministry. Brethren you want to get set free? Submit yourself to Almighty God. A lot of people say, "Oh, I have no problem with that, you know, God told me to give up this, no problem, God told me to give up that, no problem. God told me to give up that, no problem." Well, hold on brethren, because he's about to ask you to give up something that is a problem.
Submit yourself to God, the best protection in the universe. Become a bond servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the strength of being joined to him, resist the satanic mind, and that satanic mind will turn away from you. Verse 8, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you, cleanse your hands ye sinners and purify your hearts ye double minded." Draw nigh to God, how do you draw nigh to God? You have to hear his word, you have to embrace his word, you have to say, yes it's the truth, yes I want it, yes I believe it, and I pray for the power to accomplish it in my life. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you, he will join to you.
Cleanse your hands, stop your evil works, brethren. Cleanse your hands ye sinners, stop that behavior and purify your hearts ye double minded. You who go back and forth on a daily minute- by-minute basis between the Adamic mind and the Christ mind, ye double minded, cleanse your hearts by rejecting the Adamic mind and joining constantly, continuously to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Verse 9, "Be afflicted, and mourn and weep, let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness." What a strange thing to say. Can you imagine this being preached in some of these big, happy-go-lucky churches here on Long Island? Be afflicted, that means trouble, and mourn and weep and let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness.
I thought I was a king's kid, I'm still waiting for my house and my Cadillac. Brethren, you can't stay in Kindergarten for the rest of your life. It's time to grow up, and what this says is, let your childish laughter be turned to mourning, and weeping, and heaviness, because your joy is a childish joy. It's not the joy that Peter had when he was in jail. It's the joy of little children, that think nothing can ever go wrong in their life, that their parents don't want them to have any pain.
That's what the apostle is saying. Give it up, be afflicted and mourn and weep, let your childish laughter be turned to the mourning that's going to bring forth maturity, and your childish joy, let it turn to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. Give up these childish doctrines, brethren. You cannot stay in Kindergarten. Either you're going to grow up, either you're going to get out of that nest and fly, or you're going to fall away. Hallelujah. "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and he shall lift you up." Humble yourselves by joining yourself to God's spirit, and he shall lift you to a spiritual place that is higher than the Adamic soul. He shall lift you up above the soul realm and give you the victory in every area.
Verse 13, "Go to now, ye that say, today or tomorrow we will go into such a city and continue there a year and buy and sell and get gain, whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow, for what is your life, it is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time and vanisheth away. For that you are to say if the Lord will, if the Lord will we shall live and do this and do that, but now ye rejoice in your boastings." I shall do this, and I shall do that, and I'm moving here and I'm going there, and I'm getting a new job. But now you rejoice in your boastings. All such rejoicing is evil.
"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him is a sin." Brethren it's time to grow up, God is not here to give you everything that you want. You are here to serve God. I know some people that decided they wanted to move up to the mountains in upstate New York, and they prayed, and they prayed, and they prayed and finally the Lord said, Go.
They said, I know this was God and I know he gave us this house, and I know he sent us to this church, I don't doubt it for a second that they never once prayed, "Lord is it alright, Lord is it your will in our life, Lord do you want us to go." Well they moved upstate, they had this beautiful house on the top of a mountain, and they're in a dead church, they're in a dead church and they've been there for years. When they first moved there, they thought the Lord was going to raise up a church there. Well he hasn't. They have no mature believers around them at all, no deep teaching, no deep ministry, and the last I heard, they can't figure out why God "did this" to them. God didn't do that to them, brethren. They never asked him if he wanted them to go there.
The prayer is not "Lord I would like this." I mean, brethren, the prayer is not "Lord I would like this, Lord I would like this, will you give it to me?" That's not the prayer. The prayer is, "Lord what is your plan for my life, what do you want me to do, how will you be glorified in me, what is your purposes in me, what do you want from me now?" Brethren, there's a lot of work in the church. If you are willing to go where God sends you, there is ministry after you've completed your training period. Most Christians that I know of don't even get through their training period because they don't like the teacher, or they don't like the church, or they don't like the fellow students, and they rise up and leave the training location.
The church is filled with rebellious, and I'm sorry to say this but it's the truth, ignorant believers that don't know their God, that don't have a revelation of how he operates, and, unfortunately, for all these people it's not being taught. The preachers are teaching them incorrectly, but the church is filled with believers that haven't the vaguest idea of how God works, or that you have to do what he tells you, or that you have to go where he tells you, and that. very frequently, where he sends you, your immediate soulish needs are not going to be met.
If you're looking for a husband, there may not be a man there for you. If you're looking for a church that has big splashy program for your children, it may not be there. There may be no children's church or royal rangers.
And let me tell you something, brethren. In my opinion, I have never seen a church that has a children's church and royal rangers that's moving in the deep power of God. I've never seen it. If you know a church that is, you just let me know, that's fine. I've never seen it. I've been in a couple of churches that really move deeply in the power of God that never had a Sunday school, they've never separated the children from the parents, it's the same teaching for both, and there's never been royal rangers. You get where God is serious, and there isn't any of this stuff.
And I also challenge you to show me one place in the Scripture where it tells you that a church has all this stuff, that the church separates the children for different teaching from the parents. I can't find it anywhere in the Scripture, brethren. I was raised up in a church where the power of God flowed continuously, and I believe that the Holy Spirit ministered to the people in that church from the youngest child to the oldest or most mature believer, in accordance to what they were able to understand. It's by his spirit, brethren, it's by his spirit.
I can't find it anywhere in the Scripture where the Lord raised up a church, and said that the church was too big for the elder to teach everybody so they were going to break it down into home meetings. And if you wanted to come to church on a Sunday, we have all this music and the guy in charge, they call him a pastor here on Long Island, stands up there and preaches for fifteen minutes, but if you want to get taught, you have to go to somebody's house, and that somebody is never the elder in the church. And the teaching is dry, and it's not anointed because God never did that. God never did that, and he raises up an elder over the church, that elder is the teacher.
Now that's not to say God may not raise up somebody else, but that elder is the teacher and the primary teacher. I've never seen it any other way, and when an elder tried to break it down and give the teaching to somebody else, it's dry, and it's lifeless, and it's not anointed. The people don't know God, they don't know God. They don't have any idea what he's doing at all, and they think all the ministry is for the people outside of them. No, church, the ministry is for you, because you cannot stay in the condition that you're in. You've got to change. Hallelujah.
Verse 15, "For ye ought to say, if the Lord will, we shall live...." I had a very well-meaning friend give me a big argument just a couple of weeks ago, because I said something like that. "If he heals me I'll be healed, and if he doesn't, I won't." She got very upset. She said, "The Lord has to heal you, there's something wrong with your faith." There's nothing wrong with my faith. The Lord doesn't have to do anything, he doesn't have to heal me. He can keep me alive for a hundred years and keep me sick every day of that hundred years if he wants to. He can do anything he wants with me, I am his property. He owes me nothing, he loves me, and he has mercy on me. He owes me nothing, and he will do with me what he determines is best for my spiritual growth, and for the purposes that he has called me to.
And I've got a flash for you, brethren. He's not really all concerned about my soulish needs. He's going to meet some of them because if he strips me, or if he doesn't satisfy any of them, I might die of a broken heart, but he gives me as little as possible. Why? Because he's forcing me in the direction of his spirit. He's meeting my soulish needs just as much as he has to and not one little bit more because, ultimately, I'm going to have to give them all up, and live my entire life by his spirit.
So you are to say, if the Lord will, we shall live and we shall do this, and we shall do that, but you don't do that. You rejoice in your boastings of what you're going to do and all such rejoicing is evil. "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him is sin." Well what does that mean? To him that knoweth to put the offering? To him that knoweth to have mercy on the street? What is doing good, what is doing good, brethren? Doing good is obeying the will of the Lord. What?
I was just nice to that little girl that's doing good. No, brethren the Lord wants you to take your family and your three kids and go to a church where there's no children's church, that's doing good. The Lord calls you to a high ministry, and he wants you to go even though your husband is manifesting anti-Christ and tells you no. That's doing good.
He wants you to obey him, brethren. If it's not God, you're in rebellion against your husband. If it is God, your obedience to him can bring your husband in with you. Brethren, we have got to stop this nonsense. Doing good is obeying God, denying our own desires, crucifying the flesh, ignoring our own feelings and doing what God wants us to do. God wants us to do what's good for the whole body. He wants us to give up selfish interests and work towards the good of the whole even though those other members of the whole will hate us and revile us and despitefully use us. He wants us to cling to him for every need that we have, and sometimes he might meet that need through another human being, but it's him doing it. It's him doing it, brethren. Hallelujah.
Chapter 5, "Go to now ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you, your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth eaten, your gold and silver is cankered and the rust of them shall be a witness against you and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped up treasure together for the last days. Behold the hirer of the labourers who have reaped down your field which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabbath. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth and been wanton, ye have nourished your hearts as in the day of slaughter. Ye have condemned the just and killed the just and he doth not resist you."
Brethren, this is saying to me there are very few true believers that are wealthy. I'm not saying that it's impossible, but there are very few true believers that are wealthy. And the Lord is saying here that we should not lust and envy for this wealth, because the day of judgment will come. The Lord is saying here that it's very common for wealthy people to have abused and taken advantage of the poor, the people that they employ, the people that come in and out of their lives. That's what this is saying.
You rich men weep and howl for the miseries that shall come upon you, and don't tell me that you know someone that died a rich and a happy man. Brethren, it could happen to his son, or his grandson, or great grandson. These judgments go on the family line. We were talking about the Kennedys here a few weeks ago. I personally don't believe that the terrible things that happened to that family happened because the man brought liquor into the country. There were bootleggers all over the country. God only knows what that man did, whose heart he cut out, who he stepped on, who he..... I don't know whether he even murdered anybody, I don't know, but that man must have done some wickedness to get that money for that curse to fall that hard and that fast, third generation, third generation. It fell on his grandchildren.
That wasn't just for bringing liquor into the country, brethren. God only knows what he did to make that money, who he murdered, who he killed, God only knows. I'm not accusing the man of murder. I know this is going to be a public tape, I'm just saying, I don't know what he did, but it had to be more than him bringing liquor into this country. This country was filled with bootleggers. No, there was much more to this than that, brethren. God only knows what he was involved in.
Don't envy the rich brethren. It's a curse. We should have....pray to the Lord that we have our needs met, and it's alright to be comfortable, but that kind of money is a curse, brethren. Don't envy the rich. Your riches are corrupted. He's saying here you don't get that rich without corruption, and your garments are moth eaten, your gold and silver is cankered, and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Brethren look at Donald Trump, look at what it's done. What good is his money doing him? What is that man doing, throwing away the mother of his children, wrecking his home, for what? Because he has so much power that he thinks that he can do anything he wants. He has no fear of God. Don't desire it, brethren.
"Behold the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields," the people that have worked for you, that you have kept back by fraud, you haven't let them get ahead, you haven't given them opportunity, you haven't paid them fair wages. Why? Because if they get ahead, who's going to reap your fields. You know, all the people even in this country that work in sweat shops for minimum wages, there's much more to this than the employers not wanting to give them more money. They don't want them to get ahead. Who's going to work for minimum wage? If the whole country gets educated and raised up and into better jobs, who's going to work for minimum wage? Who's going to run their factories.
"And the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabbath." Brethren, this is talking about generations. You can only take advantage of God's people, or not only God's people, do you know that all the victims of the world are God's people. You cannot take advantage of people indefinitely. God is not mocked, you shall reap what you have sown. You cannot do this to people, you've got to be fair and decent and honest with them, because there is a law. It's very "in" today to mock the law of God, but I declare to you, there is a spiritual law of God. Vengeance is mine saith the Lord, I shall recompense.
I had a shocking experience a few years ago, brethren. I was going through this period of continuously losing my job. I didn't know at the time that the Lord was bringing me to a place where he was breaking me from my dependency on jobs because he knew that he was bringing me into full time ministry. I didn't know that it was God. I thought it was demons in those days, and I was alone and supporting my daughter, and I lost one more job because of the jealousy of an office manager, and I came home. And, in those days, I believed that you could pray against demons without praying against the people that the demons lived in. That's what I was taught and I believed it.
And I was so upset, I cried out to God, and I said, "Lord I want vengeance from these demons that keep taking my job." I didn't know it was God that kept taking my job, that God was stirring up the demons in the people to do what they were doing to me, and I was really upset. And I was screaming at the top of my lungs, I said, "God I want vengeance."
Brethren, the only two children of the woman that got me fired were killed within the next year. Her only two children were killed simultaneously in a car accident. I thought I was praying against the demons, I wasn't taught that the demons were in the people. And subsequent to that, God showed me in the Scripture, if you abuse the widow or the orphan and they cry unto me, I shall recompense, and that judgment, it's in the Levitical law, it's death. I had no idea, I had no idea, I cried out to God and he executed his word as it appears in this book.
Now why he killed the two children and not her, I don't know. Since then I've learned that we're to pray for our enemies and bless those that despitefully use us. I'm not thrilled that God executed that judgment on that woman, but it was a righteous judgment. Do you hear what I'm saying? You cannot abuse people, you better be very careful about taking somebody's job, brethren. If you ever find yourself in a position where you could go one way or the other, where you could influence to get someone fired, or to get another chance, you better do what's right for that person. You better know that they're just a human being, that they have a family, a wife, or a husband, or children, or what, that whatever it is they need money to live on. You better not join with somebody for any ungodly reason to take somebody's job.
God have mercy on you if you do. Or you better not join with anybody to cheat some average working person to take their furniture from them or to take their home from them, you're on very dangerous ground, brethren. You're in trouble, you don't know it but you're in trouble, and your children are in trouble, and your grandchildren, and your great grandchildren are in great trouble. If you find yourself in a situation where you're sophisticated and you're educated, and you have money and you're up against someone who's unsophisticated and uneducated and doesn't have money, you better do what's right. You better not step over them like they're a bunch of cockroaches. Brethren, you're in trouble if you're doing that.
Brother, you better humble yourself before the poor. There's no way they can get up where you are, there's no way they're going to match your Harvard education, or your genius level IQ. That is a gift from God. They are no match for you brother, you better do what's right, or you're in a lot of trouble.
"Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth and been wanton, ye have nourished your hearts as in the day of slaughter, ye have condemned and killed the just, and he doth not resist you." God have mercy on this nation that has largely lost the revelation of God and of his justice. Hallelujah.
Verse 7, "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord, behold the husbandmen waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth." That's Christ in the earth of your soul." "And hath long patience for it until he receive the early and the latter rain. But be ye also patient, stablish your hearts for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against the other, brethren, lest ye be condemned, behold the judge standeth at the door." Don't bicker with your brother, make it right, submit, submit, submit, give it up, give it up brethren.
Verse 10, "Take my brethren the prophets who have spoken in the name of the Lord for an example of suffering affliction and of patience." Boy, I've never heard this preached on Long Island. "Take my brethren the prophets who have spoken in the name of the Lord for an example of suffering affliction and of patience." I know that everyone that I heard prophesy dances in front of the church, and they think they're some great one. Many of them think they're some great one, because they have the gift of prophecy. If you were a true prophet, brethren, you wouldn't be dancing around the church in that hundred dollar dress. You'd be suffering affliction.
Verse 11, "Behold we count them happy which endure." True happiness is a result of endurance in Christ. "Ye have heard of the patience of Job and have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy. But above all things my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath, but let your yea be yea, and your nay be nay, lest ye fall into condemnation." Brethren, don't break your word. Do you know how wide spread this is in the church with people not keeping their word?
They think nothing of it, and I'm going to give you another variation of it, brother. You know, we have a lot to learn, there's a lot we're doing wrong that we don't know we're doing wrong. It says, let your yea be yea and let your nay be nay. Brethren, if someone asks you a question, they're entitled to an answer, they're entitled to an answer. A lot of us don't say no because it's painful for us to say no, but your brother is entitled to an answer, brethren. If they ask you if you'd like to accompany them someplace or you'd like to join them in doing something, don't just change the subject, say yes or say no, and if you need time to think about it, say I'd like to think about it, and when you reach a decision, go and tell them. Don't just forget about it.
It's not Godly brethren, and if you've never heard this preached before, listen to it now. People are entitled to answers, and your refusal or your failure to respond is not a Godly answer, it's not a Godly response, brethren. Lets start being Godly. Say no, thank you for the offer, I appreciate you, but no thank you.
It's so common in the world and in the church to just forget about it, because they think saying no is embarrassing. No brethren, that's wrong. If someone made you an offer or asked you a question or suggested something to you, they're entitled to an answer, and the Godly response is an answer, yes or no. Hallelujah, glory to God.
We are in Verse 12, "Let your yea be yea, or your nay be nay, lest ye fall into condemnation." Brethren, there could be a judgment associated with this lack of....I can't think of the word. You have to be clear, it has to be yes or no. This indifference, it's not indifference, that's not the word I'm thinking of, but this inability to give a clear cut answer, there is judgment associated with it, there is condemnation associated with it. You could be bringing judgment upon yourself and why? Did it ever occur to you brethren that if something requires an answer, and you never give that answer that you hurt that person. There's a judgment associated with it, you're bringing judgment upon yourself.
So, if you could say amen, I fit into this category, seek the Lord to give you the ability to let your yea be yea and your nay be nay, because if you don't you're bringing condemnation upon yourself, and upon your children and upon your grandchildren, and upon your great grandchildren.
Don't be wishy-washy. If you're wishy-washy, it's because you're afraid. I condemn you not with this message, I'm giving you information. I know how common it is in the church, it's a reaction to fear, embarrassment is fear, but you can't do that. Christians have to do what's right. Say yes, or say no, and save yourself and your whole family from condemnation. Glory to God.
Verse 13, "Is any among you afflicted?" The answer to being afflicted, brethren, is to pray. It's not to call up your friend, it's not to look for someone. It says it right here, pray. It's not to ask someone to lay hands on you, it's not to look for someone to have pity upon you. If you are afflicted, brethren, the answer is to pray, turn to God. Don't eat compulsively, don't indulge in other compulsive behavior. If you are afflicted, there is help for you in turning to God. Pray if you are afflicted.
"Is any merry, if you're happy, let him sing psalms, is there any sick upon you let him call for the elders of the church and let him them pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." Brethren, the elders of the church, we've talked about this many times, going back a couple of years, it doesn't mean someone that's in an office. An elder is someone that has a spiritual office, someone that is anointed to heal, brethren, and let them pray with you anointing you with oil. That's not the olive oil that comes in the little bottle, brethren. When an elder in Christ prays over you, you are anointed with the oil of the Holy Spirit that comes in the name of the Lord.
God in this hour is calling us to be spiritual people, brethren. The day of the type and shadow is over. Many of us no longer take communion, and many of us no longer pray for the sick with olive oil. The oil that's going to heal somebody, brethren, is the oil that's within you. No more types and shadows, brethren, it's time for the real thing. Glory to God.
Verse 15, "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick." Not the olive oil, you see. The prayer of faith shall save the sick. Now it's interesting, I haven't looked up any of these words in the Greek, but it's not translated heal the sick, it's save the sick. "And the Lord shall raise him up, and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." Many people are sick, brethren, because they're not living out of Christ. They need a spiritual healing and when their spirits are healed, then their bodies are healed.
Nevertheless, the Scripture does say, "and if he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." There is a group of people that the Lord can permit illness to come upon for spiritual growth. Paul, himself, suffered along those lines. But be very careful, brethren, if you're sick and I suffer with infirmity continuously. You must continuously repent and seek God as to whether or not there is anything that we must repent of so that we can be healed. Although, in some cases, he lets that infirmity continue for a long time if he's using it for your spiritual growth, but don't hear what I'm saying and go around saying, "well I'm sick but there's nothing for me to repent of."
Brethren, I repent frequently, and those of you who know me know I suffer from infirmity, but I repent continuously. I cannot risk falling into the condemnation of pride, saying that this is not because of anything that I've done, it's just a trial. I can't risk making that mistake, and all infirmity originally comes from sin. For me to be in this condition, there had to be great sin in my life and on the family line and there was. But I know many people come to the Lord, and they're healed much more quickly than I am.
So there has to be a reason why the Lord is letting the infirmity continue, and I believe it's because he's using it for my spiritual growth. But I've been repenting for years, and I continue to repent. Be very careful not to take the attitude, "well it's just a trial." You can fall into condemnation, brethren. Hallelujah.
Verse 16, "Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that ye may be healed, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Brethren, confession is essential. Now, we do this in accordance with the direction of the Lord. We don't go confessing our sins to the church gossip, and we don't go telling people things that are going to hurt them. But you find somebody that you could trust that God sends you to, and you confess your sins and you receive their....you humble yourself before them, and you receive their prayers, brethren. It can be essential depending upon what God is doing in your life. It can be essential in your deliverance. Glory to God.
Verse 19, "Brethren if anyone of you do err from the truth, and one convert him, let him know that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death and shall hide a multitude of sin." Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, we're talking about false doctrine, and someone set you straight, know that the one that set that sinner straight....now the Lord is saying that false doctrine is sin, "let him know that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death." They shall save that soul from the death of separation from God. Sins separates us from God.
Brethren, this is not talking about that soul being saved after death. "He that lives a life of sin is dead while he yet liveth," because sin is a separation from God. So if the Lord sends you to someone, just make sure it's God, brethren. We can't go around forcing ourselves on people, it has to be God. If God anoints you to rebuke somebody, well then you have to do it, but please make sure it's God. There's a lot of people going around, they think it's God, and it's not. I've experienced it myself. Two people in my life right now frequently think it's God, and it's not God.
"Brethren if anyone of you do err from the truth and one convert him, let him know that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death." From the death that's happening to them right now, and shall hide a multitude of sins. Brethren, the hiding of the multitude of sins is confession and repentance, and that which hides your sin is the life of Christ. Now if you see a brother or a sister sinning, this Scripture does not mean that you're suppose to say their sin is alright.
I'm going to read it again. "Brethren if anyone of you do err from the truth and one convert him, let him know that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." The sins are hidden behind Christ after confession and repentance. An unconfessed sinner does not have his sins hidden. Now God does not call us to go to each other, attacking each other. Usually, if he shows you a sin in somebody's life, the thing to do is to pray about it. If God sends you, he sends you, but please be careful, brethren.
I preached this message and am preaching this message for two years, and it's very hurtful to me to see somebody rise up....I preach it, and I give all the warnings, and they rise up in their carnal mind, and they go out, and they do all these wrong things, and they're convinced that it's God. I just don't know how to stop them. I have to preach this word because there have been preachers around for a long time now telling the church that they're not to do anything, that only the ministry is to do these things, and that's not true.
If you have Christ, you have a ministry. It may not be a public ministry, but if you have Christ, you have a ministry, and God sends you, you're suppose to go. Well how do you know whether it's God or not? Pray, brethren, pray, and if there's somebody that you trust, the minister that you sit under, talk to the minister that you sit under about it. If you don't trust him or her, you shouldn't be sitting under them.
There was somebody in this church, a word of knowledge came forth one day....come and talk to me about what you think about the revelation that's coming down here, it was a word of knowledge....because if you've got it in your mind, and it's twisted in your mind, I have no way of knowing that if you don't feed it back to me, if you don't come to me and tell me what you think. And the person that it was for, I didn't know it at the time, got this silly little smile on his face. It was a manifestation, and, within a month or so, this same person rose up and used the doctrine that's being taught in this ministry in the most ungodly way, and insisted that it was God, and it wasn't.
So what am I saying to you? If you have Christ, you have a ministry and there are times when God will send people that have ministries to other people to convict them of their sins. But if you go, and it's not God, you're in a lot of trouble, and I would suggest you get some very strong witnesses, preferably one from the head of the ministry that you're sitting under, that you're ready for this.
This is a highly abused Scripture, "Love shall cover a multitude of sins." "Don't tell him he's in sin, just love him, and just pray in your prayer closet." That's a lie too. Let me tell you something, if you're praying in your prayer closet, there's a good chance you're going to be the one God sends. There's a real good chance you're the one he's going to send, unless God makes a judgment that you're not developed enough yet to do it in a Godly way. We're raising a nation of closet Christians. They think all they have to do is pray in their prayer closet. You pray in your prayer closet, God raises up a prophet to go tell that person, you better believe it. The person might respond to your prayer but it's very rare.
We're all so carnal. Most of us won't respond to your prayer, so the next step is God sends a prophet. You don't listen, he'll send another prophet, and, somewhere along the line, he'll stop sending prophets and he's going to start raining down judgment on you.
That's how it works. I lust for the day that God brings this teaching to the church at large. It just breaks my heart for all the people out there that can't hear this word. For whatever reason, God's veiled it, he's kept it from them. So we have an extreme. Either we have little witches running around in the church going up to you in their own spirit trying to force themselves on you, sometimes you really are in sin and they're right, but if God didn't send them, it's witchcraft, and they're doing it in a hurtful way. But, most of the time, when you find situations like that, the person that they're going to is not even in sin. They're just living their Christian walk a little differently, and Mister or Miss witch is very upset about it.
So we have those Christians, and then we have Christians that will never confront anybody. They just go in their prayer closet and pray psychic prayers. We had some people in a church I was attending once that got into.... they picked up some very religious spirits, and they got into keeping the Sabbath, and the man grew a beard, and the woman covered her head. The woman said to me one day, "I told so and so in the church, I went to her and I told her the truth." Oh really? Whose truth sister, whose truth did you go to tell that other sister? You better be very careful if God sent you to tell someone to keep the Sabbath. You better be really careful whose truth you're delivering to whom.
That's witchcraft. You better make sure it's God, because if it's not, it's witchcraft. God help us, God help us. The church is utterly uneducated, utterly unprepared, filled with error, and these men are still standing in their pulpits, and there's nothing I could do about it, or I'll be guilty of witchcraft. I'm waiting to see the deliverance of the church.
I'm waiting to see what God is going to do for all these people that are bound by these preachers that don't know what they're talking about. "You can't fail." Oh really? Oh really. Glory to God.
We just pray, Father, that your word of truth come forth to all of your people, we pray for their maturity, we pray that you grant them the ability and permission to go on to perfection, we pray that your word come forth, that you be glorified and magnified in all your people, that the hour of this immature church be cast down, it's a curse.
The Scripture says in the Old Testament that Israel is cursed, and the curse is that children and women shall lead them and, by and large, the leadership in the church today is made up of men that are functioning on the soul realm. That makes them spiritual women, and they're also very immature. And they are leaders of the church today, the apparent leaders of the church. The true leaders of the church are veiled and still in their prayer closet, where they have not been revealed to the church yet, the true spiritual leaders.
The church is filled with rebellion, and pride, and selfishness, and arrogance. How can we expect the world to come into submission if the church is in this condition? Everybody out there building their own kingdom, doing what's going to make them look like a big shot, in competition with one another. Brother, you better let go of that ministry. If you think you're going to protect your own ministry, you're not going to have it very long.
You better let it go to whoever God wants you to turn it over to, if you want to prosper. There's only one ministry. It's the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, and it flows through yielded vessels. He that loves his life shall lose it, that's your soul life, he that turns it over to God shall be increased. If you humble yourself before the Lord, he shall exalt you. Don't try to hold on to your ministry, brother, and you don't have to tell me how important you are. Nobody is important except the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Any comments or questions about tonight's message?
God bless you all, may the word be quickened unto you, may cut out sin, may it just cut it out of your heart, and may it do the work that the Lord called it to do tonight. God bless you.
