GREETINGS!!
I have a few bible questions and I was wondering if maybe you could help me:
#1 Will Christians be around during the great tribulation?
PASTOR SHEILA: Yes
#2 Luke 21:34-36.....does these scriptures mean that when we get to heaven, husbands and wives will be separated?
PASTOR SHEILA: I don't see that these scriptures say that, but Matt. 20:30 and Mk. 12:25 do:
Matt 22:30
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. (KJV)
Mark 12:25
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. (KJV)
#3 Can a man loose his salvation if he just flat out gives it up and totally turns away from God?
PASTOR SHEILA: Yes. Sin is the only thing that can separate us from God.
#4 Why did God permit slavery in the old testament?
PASTOR SHEILA: Where in the Old Testament does God permit slavery? Perhaps you are thinking about a bond servant. This was an indentured servant a man who sold himself to work as a servant FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, to pay off a debt. After the time was up, the man was free again.
#5 Is there a special reason that Jesus didn't cast the demon named "legion" into the bottomless pit?
PASTOR SHEILA: Legion was an unclean spirit, not a demon. Satan is cast into the bottomless pit, demons are cast out, and unclean spirits are dissolved.
#6 How could Jesus' sinlessness atone for the world?
PASTOR SHEILA: Jesus' sinless blood has the ability to graft to the human spirit of a man and reproduce the nature of Christ Jesus in that man. Righteous Christ Jesus in the man then swallows up the sin nature of that man, and his sins are atoned for.
Is that how much a sinless person is worth?
PASTOR SHEILA: I'm sorry, but I do not understand this question.
#7 Does Jesus say anything about denominations?
PASTOR SHEILA: No.
If Jesus was around today would he be non denominational?
PASTOR SHEILA: Yes.
