Hi Pastor Sheila
Concerning suggestions and opinions you state that suggestions are ungodly except in the case of children. Is that just children that are still in the house under your authority? When they grow up and leave home, that means we no longer have any authority over them and should not make suggestions to them?
Pastor Sheila: This is true. We should not make suggestions to our adult children unless they agree to hear them. This means either they ask you for your opinion, or you tell them that you have a suggestion and ask them if they would like to hear it. Many adult children are uncomfortable or unhappy about fellowshipping with their parents, because their parents continue to treat them as children. The most healthy relationships between parents and adult children exist because the parents treat their adult children as adults.
Love,
Pastor Sheila
