XXX forwarded your dream to me. It is a "Word of Knowledge" dream. This means that Christ within you "tapped into" events which were transpiring "in the Spirit."
This usually happens when someone that you have a "soul tie" with is having an intense spiritual experience. The reason for it is that Christ within the person(s) that you have the soul tie with has reached out and touched your spirit to draw strength for the battle. This "spiritual experience" takes place in the unconscious part of the mind, which is spiritually is called "the realm of the Spirit." The "union" of the Christ within you and the Christ reaching out for strength, imparts a knowledge of the battle to the unconscious part of the mind, which the personality (that's you) who hosts the Christ being sought for strength, experiences as a dream.
Dreams are a form of "wisdom." Wisdom is a communication from the Lord which comes from a very high spiritual plane, so high, in fact, that it is beyond human language. The wisdom of the Lord, therefore, is imparted to the human mind in the form of symbols which need to be "understood."
Prov 4:7-9
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. KJV
Advanced math such as calculus is another example of a "symbolic language." In order to understand the "language of symbols," which comes from the Lord, we must first be familiar with the foundational principles of the Lord' s Wisdom. Another word for Wisdom is "mystery."
1 Cor 2:7
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Today, the Lord is revealing the principles of His Wisdom through the spiritual understanding of the Scripture called "the Doctrine of Christ." I will interpret your dream based upon these principles.
Also, in a word of knowledge dream, it is necessary to have some knowledge of the battle or spiritual event as a "jumping off point." Without some knowledge of the battle, it is not possible to accurately apply our understanding of the symbols.
Understanding a dream can impart a more accurate understanding of what is happening to the people involved, which may help them deal with their own emotions, or inner conflicts, and strengthen them for the battle in the conscious part of their mind.
Not all dreams come from the wisdom of God. Some dreams arise out of the "devilish wisdom" of our Carnal Mind.
James 3:15-17
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. KJV
Dreams that come from the Carnal Mind usually predict painful and/or destructive events, and the common understanding of the purpose of dreams (according to the practitioners of the occult) is that dreams are a warning which gives the dreamer the opportunity to avoid or change the predicted, evil events.
On the other hand, dreams that come from the Lord equip us (or the person(s) we are receiving a message for) to deal with problems and/or difficult situations, by identifying them, seeing them more clearly, and receiving insight as to how the Lord views the situation.
Dreams can be predictive. In that event, however, the "prediction" is not given so that we can try to change the predicted event. It is given to prepare us to meet the challenge in the wisdom and admonition of the Lord. Dreams can be an opportunity to learn how the Lord would have us to deal with similar, difficult situations in the future.
Interpreting dreams with the Carnal Mind is a form of witchcraft, and is forbidden by the Lord.
Dream interpretation in Christ Jesus is not a "gift" of the Holy Spirit. It is a "skill" that is found in Christ Jesus. Dream interpretation should be practiced only with great caution, as should the other "attributes" of Christ Jesus:
Isa 11:2-5
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Your dream, XXX, is an impartation of knowledge to you about a situation that XXX and XXX have been dealing with recently. This situation has been "in the Spirit" for a while now, but came to a head this past Saturday. I think you had your dream either Friday or Saturday night. Your dream describes the spiritual battle they had been waging, and the victory that they have taken.
