Guided by pastor Sheila R. Vitale, Living Epistles Ministries publishes a wide range of books and audio works, as well as video messages that educate on various aspects of the Judeo-Christian tradition. In her Living Epistles Ministries work “Noah and Ham,” Pastor Vitale takes a look at the descendants of Seth (other than Noah and his sons) who lived prior to the flood and were destroyed for their wickedness.
Pastor Vitale discusses how everyone has a “Flood” experience at some point in their lives. One day, before the flood, people were happy enough, “eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage.” Then, the Flood came and took them away. What happened? Over a period of time, their thinking changed from agreeing with the opinion of God to the thoughts of Cain. But they were not aware of the change, or that anything was wrong, so when the Flood “took them all away,” they experienced it as a “sudden,” unexpected event.
She draws attention to a “steady drain downward” from the truly righteous at the start of the book of Genesis (Enoch, Seth and Noah all possessed the mind of God) to a state where an evil mind arises and “seduces the man that is manifesting righteousness.”
Pastor Vitale opines that humanity can only return to its first estate and remain in that virtuous place when the “mind of God [is] birthed in their souls.” This is an intended outcome. God has not wiped out all creation, even with this rise in evil, because he is bringing forth his sons who will manifest the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ.
