TONGUES AND INTERPRETATION
My people, You say that you trust Me, but do you really believe My Word? Do You trust My Word with all of your heart? Have you yielded yourself as a vessel upon (inaudible) to Me? I say to you, My people this night, that I come to you and I ask for surrender, I ask you to yield your life to Me tonight. Could you not look at the circumstances or the storms, saith the Lord, but look at Me and I will lift you up above it, saith the Lord. And out of your innermost being I will supply, I am your supply. (Tongues) I say to you, rest in My anointing, rest in My anointing, and I will allow you to break the yokes not only in your life but in your mind, in the lives of those around you, saith the Lord. If you will come into My rest this night, you will know that I am the Lord, and you will be still.
Glory to God, we are doing the 4th trumpet tonight, and I am just going to start with a brief review of the first three trumpets. I will give you a run down a verse at a time. As you recall, I hope, the trumpets start in Chapter 8 of the Book of Revelation, and Verse 7 tells us that when the first fruits company preaches from their soul, they raise up themselves and the balance of the first fruits company. Verses 8 and 9 tells us when the first fruits company preaches from their spirit, they will touch the spirits of the entire living soul and those members of the living soul whose spirits have never been touched by the Spirit of God, which are not fertilized, will be fertilized.
Verse 9 tells us that those members of the living soul who have already been fertilized will receive the double portion and Christ will stand up in them.
Verses 10 and 11 tells us that when the first fruits company preaches from the satanic realm, the righteousness of God will reach out to all those who have known the Holy Spirit and were possessed of Him, but did not heed His instructions. The corrective judgment of the Holy Spirit shall be replaced by the bitterness, or judgment, of God described in Verse 11 as wormwood. I do not think I put this on the last message; I would like to put it on now.
Corrective judgment of the Holy Spirit grants repentance, it grants repentance. If you are in submission to the Holy Spirit and He comes to you and He tells you that there’s something wrong in your thinking, there’s something wrong. For it to be wrong in your behavior, it had to be wrong in your thinking. Let’s say He sends another believer to you, and they say to you, there’s something wrong with the way that you’re thinking, and you say to them, I’ll pray about it, and you pray about it and the Holy Spirit tells you, yes, there’s something wrong with your thinking, and this is what it is, and you repent, you will receive deliverance without bitter correction. That is what I believe the Scripture calls, and is what I’m calling the gentle correction of the Holy Spirit.
Then you confess your sin and you repent. If you need deliverance, if there is an evil spirit present, I believe the Lord will cast it out of you. If there is a curse operating in your life He will break it, and He will give you the power to change your thinking without any great tragedy happening in your life. But when the season of the Holy Spirit comes to an end, those people that have not received His correction will find His Spirit replaced with what the Scripture calls wormwood, or bitter judgment.
Brethren, I declare to you that there is people in the world today that are under judgment that are not granted immediate repentance. Did I make that clear? When the Holy Spirit shows you an error you are granted the ability to repent immediately and receive the deliverance, but there is a judgment that comes from God that does not bring with it the gift of immediate repentance, and I have some Scriptures for you to establish that.
That is the difference between the gentle correction of the Holy Spirit which brings with it the gift of repentance, and the bitter judgment called wormwood of the Lord, where you can go for years, if not generations, before repentance is granted to you.
Brethren, the natural Jew has not yet been granted repentance. 2,000 years ago they rejected Jesus Christ, and there are some Jews that are receiving Christ in this hour, but Israel as a nation, the natural Jew as a nation in this hour has not yet been granted repentance. It’s 2,000 years, and I remind you that the Hebrews were sent into captivity in Babylon, not the Hebrews, Judah was sent into captivity in Babylon for 70 years. Despite their crying and their bitter tears, nothing shortened that sentence, brethren. Can you hear me?
We take the things of God for granted and I know that I, for one, it really took the Lord to show me what a blessing this dispensation is, and what a hardship it would be to be a member of natural Israel where you have to make sacrifices and be under all of the bondage of the Law. The granting of the Holy Spirit to us with His gentle correction, which includes immediate repentance, which is a gift of God. It is a very great blessing of God and most of the church world; it never occurs to them that they could lose it.
I will tell you, brethren, I learned a very bitter lesson when I was a young believer in God. I was in a very hot ministry, it was just climbing up the walls, it was so full of power and anointing from the Holy Spirit, and I never thought there was even a possibility it could go away. Well, it went away, brethren, and I went into shock! I thought it was going to be with me forever, I was going to be with it forever, it was going to be available for me forever. And it went away. And it did not appear in another ministry. It’s not that it went away because there was sin in one ministry and it rose up in another ministry – I won’t get into the reasons why it went away – but the fact is, it went away.
The fire of God, this heavy anointing 4 times a week, the fire of God pouring down, it went away, and it is now 4 years later and it is not raised up in that manifestation in another ministry. That manifestation which is so gratifying to the souls of men, brethren. The things of God are for a season. The only thing that is not for a season is eternal life, and when we arrive at that point when it is granted to us, that is for the life of the ages. Let me tell you, that is an unhappy, well, I don’t know if the word is unhappy, but a sobering truth of life in the Spirit of God. Don’t count on anything lasting forever and you better enjoy it when He makes it enjoyable to you because you don’t know how much longer it is going to be available to you.
The funny part of the whole thing is that the preacher that ran that ministry used to get up in the pulpit, not infrequently, because I understand a lot of the members of the congregation gave him a very hard time, and he would stand up there, not infrequently, he would say, you know, the Lord could call me away from here. He says, I’m not threatening you, I’m not leaving, but the Lord could call me away from here. I never believed him. Well, the Lord didn’t call him away, the Lord left. The Lord left. So, brethren, I declare to you, if you are receiving a blessing from God in any manner, shape, or form, beware – you could lose it. You could lose it. And if your heart is wrong towards God, I admonish you to repent because you could lose it.
This manifestation, this dispensation in which the Holy Spirit is so easily available to so many childish members in the church world today - this ability, this gift of repentance… Brethren, if God has revealed a sin to you, hurry, HURRY to repent! Do not waste any time. I do not want to scare you, I am just telling you the truth. God is not what you think He is. He is not the namby-pamby that the church world thinks that He is. He is very strict, and sometimes I get a revelation of how hard He can be to disobedient and rebellious people, and I weep because most of the church world would not believe it.
But, brethren, if your heart is really open to the truth, look at what He did to natural Israel. Seventy years in Babylon. He made eunuchs of their royalty. They were castrated, brethren. Not only does that imply the horror of castration to the individual male, but the spiritual significance of the castration is that they could not reproduce themselves. The seed royal was castrated. All of the princes, the house royal of Judah, were castrated. That means that they could not reproduce royalty. Can you hear that? The line that the kings came from was castrated. Glory to God.
Grab it while you can, repentance is a gift and its alternative is the bitter wormwood of judgment that does not carry with it immediate repentance. That repentance may come 70 years later, it may come 15 years later, it may come 20 years later, or it may not come in your lifetime, it may be granted to your children. Glory to God.
I am not a preacher of doom, I am just telling you the truth, brethren, because to get the uttermost benefits from God you have to really understand - well, we will never understand Him completely - but to get the very most that we can from Him, let me change that – we will get the very most possible in direct proportion to the degree to which we understand Him, because He is not going to change because you are immature. And He is not going to change because you are childish.
If you want to inherit the promises, you have got to go His way. He would never make it as a father in America today. A father this strict, they would probably lock Him up for child abuse. God is very strict, brethren. He is not budging. You must change, and I must change. And thank God for it. Glory to God. Because it is His righteousness that is going to give us eternal life. We will never get eternal life if He is permissive and lets us wallow in our sins, and our sins are in our mind. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
I have some scriptural references for you on the fact that repentance is a gift from God.
Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. (KJV)
This is the account of Peter telling the other Jews about his vision of the sheet being let down when the Lord declared to him to go to the Gentiles.
And another account in the Book of Acts, he relates this experience to the Jews. And this is their response to him: When they heard these things, they said, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. You cannot repent unless God grants you repentance and it is a gift. So, to go around beating people over the head with your Bible saying, Repent, Repent, or you’re going to hell, brethren, you’re really wasting your time. What has to occur is that these people have to be granted repentance, and I declare to you that repentance is in the Son; they need a measure of His spirit to repent. Glory to God.
Acts 5:31 Him hath God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. (KJV)
Jesus has been raised up as a Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel. And I declare to you, that spiritual Israel, which we have found out now is the entire living soul, Glory to God, He has been raised up to be their Savior to sprinkle on their souls, to give them of His spirit, so that they might repent and receive forgiveness of sins.
Hebrews 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. (KJV)
And for those of you who are not familiar with this account, I remind you that Esau was the oldest son, Jacob was his brother, and he was entitled to the birthright, and he sold his birthright for a mess of pottage. He was hungry, and Jacob offered him something to eat and he Jacob said to him, I want your birthright for the food. And he said, Okay. Having his belly filled, having his soul need met - and brethren, we have to get spiritual - it has nothing to do with the food, OK? Having your soul need met, whatever that soul need is, if you sell out, if you are disobedient to what the Lord tells you to do because doing it another way is going to satisfy your soul, you are selling your birthright for a mess of pottage.
We have talked about this in other meetings. If you go to another ministry because there’s a 33 piece band, if God has called you to any ministry, not only here – any ministry, and you go to another ministry because there is a 33 piece band, because there are single men, because there are single women, because it is closer to your home – whatever your particular problem is, if you do not do what God tells you to do because your soul is satisfied elsewhere, you are selling the birthright that He has for you at the ministry that He’s called you. Glory to God.
Obedience is the name of the game. The Holy Spirit is imparted to you without repentance. Obedience comes next; you have to be obedient to Him. We are finding out that Esau repented. After he sold his birthright, he went to his father and he said, Father, isn’t there anything you could do for me? I repent. And the father said, There is nothing I can do for you. I gave it to your brother. I have already blessed your brother, Jacob, and he has the birthright. Esau never recovered in his lifetime. I will be honest with you; I do not know how this works in this new covenant dispensation. We are not in this rigidity we saw in the Old Covenant where Esau lost his birthright and that was it for his lifetime. I really do not know why God gives some repentance in two years, some in 10 years, some in 20 years. I do not know.
We have somebody right in this congregation. They told me they were saved and they backslid, and what was it, 30 years before God called you back? 24 years before God granted her repentance to come back into the family of God! And I declare to you that you were blessed that it happened in this lifetime. The sister just said she didn’t think it would ever happen.
It does not have to happen. God does not owe you anything. If you miss your chance, He may have mercy on you, but He owes you nothing. He owes you nothing. There is so much pride in mankind. If we can only get this through our heads.
I said something earlier off the message, I will put it on the message again. For me to think that God might not have killed me because He has given me this exciting message, I am the only one that I know of in this hour that is preaching it, that would have been pure pride. Because not only could He raise someone else up to preach it, but I am going to tell you something else that I found out about God. If it takes Him 10 years to raise that person up, that would not bother Him. You see, that would bother me.
I was sitting in that other congregation where I was raised up, it was the only congregation that I knew of that was really bringing forth that kind of ministry, and when that preacher started getting into trouble I went on my face before God and I said, Lord, you can’t take him down. You can’t take him down. What’s going to happen to the people in the church? Please don’t take him down. I prayed that prayer. God took him down. God took him down. And you want to know something, brethren? The flock scattered. He smote the shepherd and the flock scattered. As far as I know there are three of us that came out of there that are still serving God in a mature way. Can you hear me? Their spiritual life was smashed. So what I am saying to you is, If I falter, if I fail, if God in His wisdom decides to let me die, or to take me down, for whatever His reason, and it takes Him 10 years to raise up somebody else, the fact that you people here are not going to have this ministry for 10 years is not going to stop Him from taking me down. Do you hear what I’m saying?
When He took down that other preacher, it was 4 years until this ministry raised up to the people that were faithful – not 4 years, I’m sorry, 3 years, 2 1/2 years to wait for the next ministry to raise up, and a large majority of them could not even discern that it was here. But that is not the point. For those that were faithful, for those that could discern it, they had to wait 2 1/2 to 3 years to come into the transference of power, so to say. Do you know what I am saying?
If I were to fail and He were to take me down, He would not hesitate or falter for a moment knowing that every one of you here might have to go without this heavy ministry, mature ministry, life-giving ministry for 2 years, for 4 years, for 10 years, until He raised up the next person. It would not stop Him from taking me down if I failed because although He has mercy on you and He loves all of you, He has a plan. And His plan is to save this entire living soul and He is dealing with the whole. When you deal with the general, in battle, he does not see his soldiers killed. But when he plots the maneuvers for the whole army, he is looking for the victory for the country and there is always somebody that gets killed. This is a hard word. I am telling you the truth. I am telling you the truth.
Pray for the ministry, pray for me, pray for yourselves and constantly be in a condition of repentance before God. I am just telling you the truth, brethren. I am telling you how to survive this thing because no mollycoddle is going into the Kingdom. I am telling you the truth.
The rejection of the gift of repentance results in what? It results in burning judgment that the Scripture calls wormwood.
Hebrews 6:4-8
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put him to an open shame.
7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. (KJV)
Now those three Scriptures are preached a lot in the church world but they do not preach the next two which says, Verse 7: For the earth, (or the soul), which drinketh in the rain (the Holy Spirit), that cometh oft upon it (every night you are in church and it is falling on you and you’re dancing and you are singing, but you will not repent, the rain is falling often upon your soul) and bringeth forth herbs (that’s the life of God), meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessings from God. If you are in church 2 nights a week, 3 nights a week, 4 nights a week, if you are dancing, if you are singing, if you are doing whatever you are doing and the result of that is that the life of God appears in you, you are blessed. But that does not happen to everybody.
Verse 8: But that which (that earth which, that soul which) beareth thorns and briers (you’re still producing evil spirits, brethren, and ungodly thoughts), but that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected (you are not walking into the Kingdom because you have the Holy Spirit when you are filled thorns and briers and ungodly thoughts, attitudes, and demons). And is nigh unto cursing (the Lord says if you sit under an anointed ministry – we don’t have a length of time here, God makes the decision) and the result for a season, and the result of it is that you are still producing ungodly thoughts and attitudes, you are cursed. You may need some curses broken on you.
Whose end is to be burned, but that which beareth thorns and briers after the rain pours on them (after the Holy Spirit pours on them), is rejected – rejected of what? You can’t get into the Kingdom that way – and is nigh unto cursing, whose end is to be burned. And I declare unto you, brethren, that the true understanding of that Scripture is that if you have not repented from the gentle correction of the Holy Spirit, there is something spiritually wrong with you. You have got a curse on your life or a multitude of curses, you have got evil spirits that have not been jogged loose by the anointing of the Holy Spirit that you are a partaker of, and you need something stronger. You need a stronger correction nigh unto burning, the bitter judgment of wormwood, of which you may come out of in this lifetime or you may not, depending on the will of the Lord as to whether or not He grants you repentance in this lifetime.
Tough word, this is a tough ministry, brethren. I am telling you the truth. If anything is going to get you into the Kingdom, the truth is going to get you into the Kingdom. This is no game! The whole church world out there thinks it is a game! It is not a game! It is dangerous! You could lose your spiritual life! Hallelujah. Glory to God.
We are going on with Chapter 8 of the Book of Revelation, Verse 12.
Revelation 8:12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. (KJV)
And I just want to remind you briefly that we have already said that the first trumpet has raised up the Sons of God, the second trumpet has reached out to those beyond the Sons of God company, and the third trumpet has judged the church world that has the Holy Spirit. And now the forth trumpet is dealing with the whole of the living soul. Glory to God.
I would like to remind you that if you would like to review the word study on the word fourth, it can be found on page 38, part 3, and basically what fourth means is complete, it means squared, it means solid, and that’s how I draw the conclusion that fourth is referring to the totality of the living soul.
I am breaking this verse down into seven parts so that hopefully we can understand it. And I am going to give you an Alternate Translation of the first part:
Revelation 8:12 (first part) And the fourth angel sounded, and when the fullness of the first fruits company stood up in spiritual strength and announced the warfare against the living soul and warned the spiritual man dwelling with him in the same vessel, and announced the time of his redemption and restoration to the spiritual realm of God. (AT)
And that translation we got when we go all the way back to the first trumpet. We established that that is what the sounding of the trumpet means.
The fourth trumpet means the fullness of the first fruits company, and the fact that they are sounding the trumpet means that they are announcing the warfare against the living soul, etc., etc., etc.
And the next phrase is, And the third part of the sun was smitten when the fourth angel stood up - when the first fruits company, when every member called to the first fruits company - and we know that the first fruits company is coming in gradually, we have no idea how big the first fruits company is going to be, there could be several coming in every month, every year, I don’t even know how many years it is going to take for the fullness of the first fruits company to stand up - but when it stands up, when the door is closed and for you to receive full salvation beyond this point, you are no longer a member of the first fruits company, OK? At that point, only God knows when it is, the third part of the sun shall be smitten. So, let’s find out what this means.
If you would like to do a review on the study of the sun, the moon, and the stars, we went over that and it is in Revelation 6, verses 12 and 13, and it is on Page #42, Part 1.
I would like to point out to you that Revelation 6, Verses 12 and 13, takes place in the realm of the soul, and what we are studying tonight, Revelation 8, Verse 12, is happening in the realm of appearance. And the third part of the sun was smitten in the realm of appearance, and I remind you that there are two areas that are seen in the realm of appearance – our behavior is seen in the realm of appearance, and our attitudes and the things that we say and our emotions are seen in the realm of appearance. So, the sun and the moon are dealing with the soul realm as it appears in the realm of appearance. When my emotions and my attitudes become obvious to you, either because of the things that I say or because of my bodily movements or my actions, the soul realm has appeared in the realm of appearance. Glory to God.
So let’s see what we’ve got here. And the third part of the sun was smitten. I remind you that the sun typifies the spirit, and that the Spirit of God could not be smitten. Therefore, we cannot be speaking about the Spirit of God. We have to be speaking about another spirit. The word smitten is Strong’s 4141, it is the only time that this word is translated smitten, and not only is it the only time that it is translated smitten, I could not find any reference in any of my reference books indicating that it is translated anything else. Lots of times, I think we have an incidence like this coming up shortly, I will tell you that this is the only time this word is translated such-and-such, but it is translated other ways other times. I cannot find this word anywhere else in the Scripture.
Smitten, 4141. It means to be beaten with the fist or a hammer, and it’s through the idea of flattening out, to pound, to inflict with calamity, to flatten out, to flatten out. I declare to you that when a spirit has strength, and we have talked about this before, it permeates. All spiritual life is rooted in bodies, in our beings, and it vibrates out forth past our skin. I declare to you, you can pray about this, that to be flattened out means that their vibration is withdrawn. To be flattened out means that they are not vibrating forth, they are only on one flat plain; they are not manifesting, OK?
I just want to tell you one more time this book of Revelation is giving me one run for my money. It is very hard, I have been studying prophecy for years, way before this ministry ever raised up, and I have never had so much trouble with getting an interpretation of the Scripture, it is very hard. It is just the grace of God that He is giving it to me and that we can all partake of it. I cannot tell you how many times I sit down at my desk and I say, Lord, I have read those verses 4, 5 times, I have no idea what You are talking about and if you do not give me the interpretation I’m going to have nothing to tell these people, and you’re the one that told me to go right through the Book of Revelation and I haven’t the vaguest idea of what you’re talking about.
For a while I used to get severe anxiety attacks until the Lord just convinced me that it is no slur on me, that it is His responsibility to give me the words for you, and He has not failed me yet. So, if there is something that sounds a little way out to you, I just ask you to pray about it and if you are really having trouble getting the revelation, please, do not hesitate to come up and ask for prayer. This is very hard, but the fact remains that the Lord Jesus Christ has ordained that it is to come forth in this hour, and it is very exciting for everybody that is a part of it.
So, the word smitten means to be flattened out and I am suggesting to you that it means a spirit that is not manifesting. Webster’s says the word flatten means to make flat, level, smooth, to lay low, it means to ruin. So if a spirit is not vibrating forth, it is ruined. How do you ruin a spirit? You destroy its ability to manifest.
Smitten can mean to ruin, it means to make – now this is Webster’s – to flatten means to make lustrous, to make lustrous. Again, when we talk about luster we are talking about gems, something that gives off a shining. Isn’t a luster a shining? So again, it is that idea that if you take the luster away, you are taking away that part of the spirit that is manifesting or vibrating forth. OK? Glory to God.
This is just interesting, I thought it might bless you, Webster’s also says that flatten is used of bringing an airplane to the ground. I have never heard of that. I am going to suggest to you that when God smote the Son, He brought that spirit to the ground. Amen? He stopped it from manifesting. And Webster’s says that luster is a glow of reflected light, a glow of light from within. OK? So, to flatten out that luster means the spirit is not manifesting anymore.
I am going to suggest something to you here. Now, if you would like to review – let me give you what I am going to suggest first and then I will give you the message that it is on if you want to review it. I remind you, for those of you that remember, for Satan to appear in the realm of appearance, he could not do it by himself. He had to marry Eve and produce the carnal mind to appear in the realm of appearance. I remind you that even Almighty God, to appear in the realm of appearance, has to fertilize the human spirit and have Christ appear. Almighty God is appearing in the realm of appearance through His Christ. The way His Christ is appearing is that He is fertilizing human spirits and birthing Christ. When Satan wanted to appear in the realm of appearance, he illegally married Eve and produced their offspring, the carnal mind. That is Satan in the realm of appearance. If you’d like to study that further, I discussed it on Message 38, and it is either Page 12 or 13. I did not have time to look it up today but if you are interested in this and you want me to really dig out which message it is, I will do that for you. Glory to God.
That is what I’m suggesting to you. When the Scripture says, And the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the sun was smitten, I remind you that we’ve been teaching on the last few messages that the third part is not referring to the first, second, third, or fourth quarter, but it is referring to the first, second, and third part of the creation as it was for me - Adam being the first part, Eve being the second part, and Satan being the third part. Not so much as they were formed, but as they appear to men in the Bible.
And all of this talk about the third part is dealing with the satanic realm. We have that established on two or three prior messages to this. When it says, the third part of the sun was smitten - first of all I am suggesting to you that the sun is spirit, and that it cannot be the Spirit of God because the Spirit of God could not be smitten, that leaves us with the spirit of Satan. And I declare to you that the spirit of Satan, although he is one spirit, just like man is body, soul, and spirit - we are still one individual: body, soul, and spirit. Satan in the realm of appearance is really in three parts. He has been joined to his wife, they have become one, they have birthed the carnal mind and all three are one. Just like in the realm of God’s Spirit, it shall be the Christ, the Father, and our human spirit. And we all shall be one. Does anybody not understand this right now? OK. Glory to God.
So that is what I am suggesting to you the sun is, and I want to also point out to you that Eve has already been dealt with in these Scriptures, and that she is now joined to Christ. Satan has already been dealt with in these last few verses, in that he has been pacified to the point that he is now preaching the Gospel (that is on the last message), and the only third of Satan’s spirit in the realm of appearance that has not been dealt with is the carnal mind, and he is being dealt with here in Verse 12 of Chapter 8.
Alternate Translation, this is the phrase that says, And the third part of the sun was smitten.
Revelation 8:12 (first part) And the third part of the sun and the carnal mind was ruined and no longer reflected the mind of Satan in the realm of appearance. (AT)
So as we go through Chapter 8 we have found the souls of men dealt with, the spirits of men dealt with, the satanic realm dealt with, and now we are dealing with the carnal mind. I don’t know about you but this really blessed me because I am telling you, I sat down today, and as I told you I was not even feeling well today, and this whole Chapter 8 is giving me a run for my money - I sat down and I said, Lord, you are going to have to do something because I haven’t the vaguest idea of what this means. And this is what He gave me and I find it very exciting.
You cannot get this but by revelation, brethren. He is dealing with the whole realm of the mind, and the carnal mind was ruined, glory to God, thank God. And no longer reflected the mind of Satan in the realm of appearance. We are going on with the next phrase, which is, And the third part of the moon was smitten. And the third part of the moon was smitten.
Now, the moon, I remind you, usually typifies the soul, and the moon reflects the light of the sun. The moon has no light of its own, it reflects the light of the sun, and the soul reflects the light of the spirit. Amen? OK, let’s try this.
Alternate Translation: And the third part of the moon was smitten also. The pride and the emotions of the entire living soul, and the soul is the entire living soul here, the pride and the emotions of the entire soul was brought down and placed under the authority of the Christ. And I remind you this is the third part of the moon, the soul being Adam, Eve and Satan, the third part of it being Satan. The Satanic realm of the living soul was brought down. I remind you, in prior Scriptures we have dealt with the human spirit, the human soul, the Satanic realm, and then we dealt with the carnal mind, all four parts are dealt with, and then what? And the pride and the emotion that typified the entire living soul was brought down and placed under the authority of the Christ. And I am suggesting to you that the entire living soul was not placed under the authority of the Christ until all four criminal elements of it was dealt with. Glory to God.
At the fourth trumpet the entire living soul was brought into submission to the living Christ. Let’s not forget the carnal mind, she is very real. Glory to God.
And I remind you that this word, And the third part of the moon was smitten, one of the definitions of the word smitten was to make even. We have this on several messages, this concept that even the living soul is uneven. He is mountains and valleys, mountains and valleys, the mountains being pride and the valleys being that which he lacks of the Word of God.
When the Word of God fills in, I did not put up my board today, but try and picture mountains (I’ve drawn pictures of this before). When the Word of God falls upon the living soul, He is going to fill up all the valleys, which typifies those things that we’re lacking, and He is going to become even with the mountains. The mountains are going to be neutralized, there will be no more mountains because the valleys are going to be lifted up to the top of the mountains and we are going to be even with them. What this means to us, we who are human beings, is that we should no longer be victimized by fits of emotion or passion, but we shall deal rationally and soberly with every problem that comes our way, both in our own mind and in other people.
If the Holy Spirit is manifesting in you, and some very emotionally disturbed person comes at you accusing you, you should have the ability by the manifesting Christ in you to say to these people what they need to hear to calm them down. Because if you are manifesting Christ, you are reaching out, or the Christ in you is reaching out and touching their unevenness and neutralizing it. That is just another way of saying, And the pride and the emotion of the entire living soul was brought down and placed under the authority of the Christ, it was made even. It was made even, which is another definition of the word smitten.
We are going on and we are dealing with the phrase, And the third part of the stars were smitten. And the third part of the stars were smitten. I remind you that the stars typify the truth of God’s Word and we established that in Message #5, Side 1, I think the first half of Side 1, that the stars typified the truth of God’s Word. I have an Alternate Translation for you on that.
Revelation 8:12 (third part) And the third part of the stars were smitten also, and the false doctrine, the stars typifying the truth of God’s Word, the third part typifying the satanic realm, that part of the doctrine that is in the church today that is coming from the satanic or the carnal mind or passed down. The truth of God’s Word, the truth that is coming forth from the stars, from the preachers, from those men that are in the heavenlies, that part of it that is not of God, and we know that nobody’s doctrine is pure in this hour, not even this ministry. I keep telling the Lord, I wish I knew what wasn’t pure, but if He told me, then we would have a pure word, and it is not the hour for the pure Word. Amen?
That portion of the Word even coming forth from this ministry that is not true, is going to be cast down across the church world. And the false doctrine of the carnal mind was smitten also. Glory to God.
We have, for all intents and purposes, the human soul that has been smitten because they have been apprehended by Christ, the human spirits have been smitten, they have produced Christ, the Satanic realm in men’s minds have been pacified to the point that the mad, raging beast is glorifying God and preaching reconciliation, and then we have the carnal mind cast down, and the false doctrine is wiped out. No more carnal mind, no more false doctrine. Hallelujah.
Moving on with the next phrase. We are in Chapter 8 of the Book of Revelation, Verse 12. So the third part of them was darkened. So the third part of them was darkened. That is a little hard to understand, so I want to give you that phrase from the King James Translation that says, So that might be darkened, the third of them. So that might be darkened, the third of them.
The word darkened is Strong’s #3654. It means to make dim, to obscure, to hide, to cover over. An Alternate Translation on that phrase, So that might be darkened, the third of them. Alternate Translation, So that the carnal mind, its pride, emotion, and false doctrine might be covered over and hidden from the impressionable minds of young, spiritual men.
Let me read you that phrase in the King James again. I’ll read you the whole verse. And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars, so that the third part of them (the third part of what? The third part of the sun, the moon, and the stars – the third part of the sun, the moon, and the stars). So that the carnal mind is pride, emotion, and false doctrine, might be covered over and hidden (hidden from whom?) from the impressionable mind of young, spiritual men who are receiving this false doctrine and reproducing it in their own soul. Glory to God.
And the next phrase, And the day shone not for a third part of it. And the day shone not for a third part of it. Now this word day is Strong’s #2259, and it refers to the whole 24 hours, which includes day and night. We have a message where we discussed the spiritual day; it is Message #32, Part 3 if you would like to review that. And I remind you that the spiritual day is a time period, a day is a time period. It does not have to be the day that we call a day in this carnal realm. Spiritually speaking, a day is a time period.
What we established on Message #32, Part 3, was that according spiritually, an hour was a time period, and that a day was a time period in which light was shining. A day was a time period in which light was shining. It could be an age in which light was shining. The age in which Christ appears, I declare to you, shall be the day of light. It shall be the time period in which the light is shining because, brethren, it doesn’t matter that there is light and darkness in this carnal realm.
Everything God gives us is an example, and this whole realm, from the dawn of time up to the appearance of Christ has been the hour of darkness. It has been the night. The day started to dawn 2,000 years ago when the first glimmer of light appeared in the realm of appearance. His name was Jesus Christ of Nazareth. But the entire history of the living soul has been nighttime, brethren. And the day is dawning and there is going to be a day where the night shall shine like the day. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
We are dealing with the phrase, And the day shall not for a third part of it. And this word shone is Strong’s #5316, it is the only time that it is translated shone. In other instances it is translated to appear, to be seen. It is the word that is used with regard to the appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are going to use it like that, to appear or to be seen.
Alternate Translation, And the day shone not for a third part of it. And in the age that the light appears, the satanic realm, the third part of it, the satanic realm of the soul, should no longer be seen. And the day shone not for a third part of it. Let me get you this from the King James again because I think I am losing you. And the fourth angel sounded and the third part of the sun was smitten and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars. So as the third part of them (the third part of who?) - the third part of the sun, the moon, and the stars, was darkened. And the day shone not, the day did not shine that time period in which the light was revealed. It did not shine for the third part of it, for the third part of what? For the third part of the living soul in the time period that the light was revealed in the realm of appearance. That third part of it, that satanic realm, did not shine. It did not manifest, it did not illuminate, it was flat, brethren. It was flat.
Alternate Translation, And that the carnal mind, its pride, emotion and false doctrine might be covered over. I’m sorry, I read that wrong. So that the carnal mind, its pride, emotion, and false doctrine might be covered over and hidden from the impressionable minds of young, spiritual men that are being raised up to full stature in this hour. And that is what is happening today, brethren. There are young, spiritual men in the world and they are being polluted by the false doctrines of the carnal mind. And Glory to God, this Scripture says that the Lord God is going to put an end to it. There is no longer going to be arguing (well, they should not be arguing over doctrine anyway) but the less mature believers are, the more likely they are to argue over doctrine. There will be no discrepancy; there will be no difference in doctrine. The pure doctrine of Almighty God shall be preached in the earth and every mind shall receive and reproduce the truth. Glory to God. No more mixture, brethren. There is mixture in the Antichrist. The Antichrist is mixture. That’s what it is, Hallelujah.
If you ever hear a message preached and you walk away confused because you know that some of the things that you heard were true, but you walk away with great confusion in your spirit, the chances are, brethren, the person was manifesting a sprit of Antichrist. Antichrist does not come up and preach a bold, bald-faced lie to you. They pepper it, they sprinkle it with the truth, and it will throw you into confusion. If this has been your experience or if it is your experience in the future, I pray that the Lord remember, or remind you, or bring to remembrance, that is what I was trying to say, what I am telling you now. Confusion is not of God and if you are confused because there was some truth spoken by that preacher, he was manifesting Antichrist, most likely. Glory to God. I cannot tell you for sure if I am not there myself but most likely that is what the problem is.
We are going on to the next phrase, So the third part of them was darkened. Did we do that already? So the third part – we did that already. So that the carnal mind that’s pride, emotion, and false doctrine, might be covered over and hidden from the impressionable minds of young, spiritual men. OK.
The next to the last phrase, And the day shone not for a third part of it. Oh, we did all this already. And the day shone not for a third part of it. And in the age that the light appeared, the satanic realm of the soul could no longer be seen. And the day shone not for a third part of it and in the age that the light appeared, the satanic realm of the soul could no longer be seen. Hallelujah.
And the night likewise. And the night likewise. The word night, Webster’s tells us, is the time from dusk to dawn when no light of the sun is visible. And as I just told you, the night is the whole history of the human race where they were in the darkness of separation from Jesus Christ. Glory to God.
And in the age that the light appeared, the satanic realm of the soul could no longer be seen and neither could the night be seen. Glory to God. And the Adamic soul could not be seen either because it was covered over in the same way. How was it covered over? Does anybody remember how the Adamic soul was covered over? Anybody? Glory to God, by the soul of Jesus Christ, by the soul of Jesus Christ, by the soul of Jesus Christ. Glory to God.

Hallelujah! And the Adamic soul could not be seen either because it was covered over in the same way by the soul of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
Let me just remind you, in closing, that the human spirit is not covered over. The human spirit has been cleansed and purified and produced the glorious Christ-child. And I also remind you, if you study the books of Kings and the books of Chronicles, the mother of the king is always named. She is always named. And I said, Lord, why do you always name the mother of the king? Because she’s going to be glorified with him. The mother of the king is glorified with him. And your human spirit and my human spirit is glorified with King Jesus. She is not covered over; she is reigning and ruling with her husband. Hallelujah.
